Der Hüllmaterialzuschnitt kann nach einen weiteren Vorschlag dadurch sicher erfasst werden, dass der schwenkbare Seitenhalter mit einer eine Einlaufschräge aufweisenden Haltenut versehen ist.
Eine sichere Erfassung und Positionierung wird gemäß einer Weiterbildung noch dadurch unterstützt, dass der mit dem bewegbaren Seitenhalter zusammenwirkende ortsfeste Seitenhalter mit mehreren übereinanderliegenden Haltekerben versehen ist.

The mode of operation for transferring the wrapping blanks 1 from the loading station S1 to the folding station S2 is as follows:
According to FIG. 1, the outer movable side holders 21 assume an outer pivot position in the loading station S1. The wrapping material blanks 1 are more or less accurately transferred between the sufficiently spaced side holders in a manner not shown, for example by radial insertion or vertical support on the receiving platform 16. The blanks 1 are fixed by the suction air applied to the suction openings 17 and are gripped by the holding groove 26 by the inwardly pivoting side holders 21, moved against the stationary side holders 18, captured by the holding notches 27, fixed and thereby precisely aligned.
In this way, during the subsequent conveying step on the conveying section F1 from the loading station S1 to the folding station S2, it is prevented that accelerations and decelerations occurring in the process shift or cut laterally or radially or bulge vertically. As a result, the wrapping material blanks 1 are positioned in the folding station F2 exactly relative to the cigarette groups 4 which have also been transferred there, so that packaging operations can be carried out there in a known manner in accordance with DE-OS 197 03 069.

Claims (6)

  1. A device for transferring foldable wrapping-material blanks (1) of the tobacco-processing industry, in particular [of] box blanks - pre-impressed or pre-stamped along folding lines - for hard-box packets for cigarettes, by means of a turntable (8) from a charging station (S1) to a treatment station (S2), wherein the turntable (8) rotating about a substantially vertical axis (9) is provided with at least one receiving platform (16) bounded by at least two lateral holders (18, 21), characterized in that one lateral holder (21) is movable relative to the respectively opposite stationary lateral holder (18) from a charging position into a holding position.
  2. A device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the charging and holding positions are defined in each case by open and closed pivoting positions of the lateral holder (21) opposite the stationary lateral holder (18).
  3. A device according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the pivotable lateral holder (21) is provided with a retaining groove (26) comprising a run-in slope (24).
  4. A device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the stationary lateral holder (18) cooperating with the movable lateral holder (21) is provided with a plurality of retaining notches (27) arranged one above the other.
  5. A device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that, in the case of a double platform (16) formed from two receiving platforms, stationary lateral holders (18) situated on the inside cooperate in each case with movable lateral holders (21) situated on the outside.
  6. A device according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the movable lateral holder (21) is connected to a base holder (23) pivotable about a stationary axis (19).
