Claims (14)

  1. Method for producing cigarette packs, in particular of the hinge-lid type, wherein a folding turret (11) is fed blanks (10) for an outer wrapper of the cigarette pack made of paper, thin cardboard or the like, and wherein the blanks (10), in a folding station (14), are conveyed one after the other into pockets (12) of the folding turret (11), with folding flaps of the blanks (10) being at least partially erected in the process, and wherein the folding turret (11) is driven cyclically in rotation in order to feed the pockets (12) and/or the blanks (10) to individual stations on the circumference of the folding turret (11), wherein the blanks (10) are subjected to folding steps to form an at least partially folded cigarette pack, wherein one folding flap of the blanks (10) is folded, by a folding mechanism (41) arranged on the folding turret (11), during a standstill phase of the folding turret (11) and is retained in this position during further transportation of the pocket (12) until, during the further transportation, a further folding flap of the blank (10) is folded by a folding mechanism arranged in a fixed location on the circumference of the folding turret, in particular by a fixed folding diverter, onto the first folding flap and retains the latter in the folded position, wherein the pockets (12) are moved out of the folding station (14) into a pushing-in station (27), which is arranged on the circumference of the folding turret (11) and in which pack contents (13) are, in particular a cigarette block is, pushed into the partially erected blank (10), characterized in that, in the pushing-in station (27), at least one folding flap projecting upwards out of the pocket (12), in particular a front wall (25) of the blank (10), is moved out of the transporting path of the pack contents (13), and retained there, by an erecting mechanism (29).

Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that the folding flap, in particular a base flap (42) of the blank (10), is folded over about a folding axis which is oriented tangentially in relation to the folding turret (11), wherein the folding mechanism (41) is moved radially in relation to the folding turret (11), and in that the further folding flap, in particular a front wall (25) of the blank (10), is folded about a folding axis which is directed at an angle, in particular transversely, to the folding axis of the first folding flap.
  3. Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that the blank (10) is retained in the pocket (12) by negative pressure beneath the folding axis, in particular in the region of a base wall (19), during the operation of folding the first folding flap, wherein in particular the blank (10) is retained by means of suction pressure along two walls (20, 22, 24) of the pocket (12) which run at an angle, in particular transversely, to one another, preferably in the region of a wall (20) of the pocket (12) which runs tangentially in relation to the folding turret (11) and in the region of at least one wall (22, 24) of the pocket (12) which runs essentially radially in relation to the folding turret (11).
  4. Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that the folding mechanism (41), for folding the folding flap, is moved essentially linearly in the radial direction in relation to the folding turret (11) and in the direction of the outer circumference of the folding turret (11).
  5. Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that the folding flap projecting out of the pocket (12) is moved out of the transporting path of the pack contents (13), and retained there, by the erecting mechanism (29) until the operation of pushing in the pack contents (13) has been completed, wherein, in particular once the pack contents (13) have been pushed in, the folding flap of the blank (10), in particular the base flap (42), is folded onto the pack contents (13), and retained there, by the radially acting folding mechanism (41).
  6. Method according to Claim 5, characterized in that the erecting mechanism (29) is moved along a preferably ellipsoidal curved path (31), wherein the erecting movement of the erecting mechanism (29) coincides with the transporting movement of the pocket (12) such that, while the pocket (12) is still being transported, the erecting mechanism (29) begins the operation of erecting the folding flap projecting out of the pocket (12), by virtue of a corresponding curved path (31) being predetermined.
  7. Method according to Claim 6, characterized in that the erecting mechanism (29) is moved along the curved path (31) in the direction counter to the direction of rotation of the folding turret (11), wherein the curved path (31) has its longitudinal extent directed at an acute angle to the folding flap which is to be erected, and wherein the curved path (31) is initially laterally offset in relation to the folding flap which is to be erected, in order that the erecting mechanism (29) does not collide with the folding flap which is to be erected.
  8. Apparatus for producing cigarette packs, in particular of the hinge-lid type, having a folding turret (11) for folding blanks (10) for an outer wrapper of the cigarette packs made of paper, thin cardboard or the like, wherein a plurality of pockets (12) are arranged on the circumference of the folding turret (11) in order to receive a respective blank (10), and wherein the folding turret (11) can be driven in a stepwise manner in rotation in order to feed the pockets (12) and/or the blanks (10) to individual stations on the circumference of the folding turret (11), wherein the blanks (10) can be subjected to folding steps to form an at least partially folded cigarette pack, and wherein each pocket (12) is assigned a separate folding mechanism (41), arranged on the folding turret (11), for folding a folding flap of the blank (10) during a standstill phase of the folding turret (11), and wherein at least one further, fixed-location folding mechanism, in particular a folding diverter, is arranged on the circumference of the folding turret (11) for the purpose of folding a further folding flap of the blank (10) onto the first folding flap, and wherein a pushing-in station (27) is arranged on the circumference of the folding turret (11) for the purpose of pushing pack contents (13) of a cigarette pack, in particular a cigarette block, into a partially folded blank (10), characterized in that a movable erecting mechanism (29) is arranged in the region of the pushing-in station (27), and folding flaps of the blank (10) which project upwards out of the pocket (12) are erected thereby prior to the pack contents (13) being pushed in.
  9. Apparatus according to Claim 8, characterized in that the folding mechanism (41), in particular a pusher (43), can be moved linearly in a radial direction in relation to the folding turret (11) by a parallelogram linkage (44) for the purpose of folding the folding flap, in particular a base flap (42) of the blank (10).
  10. Apparatus according to Claim 9, characterized in that the folding mechanism (41) can be guided in an essentially linear movement by at least two levers (45, 46), wherein the levers (45, 46) are mounted in an articulated manner, on the one hand, on the folding mechanism (41) and, on the other hand, on a fixed bearing (47), and wherein one of the levers (46) can be moved in particular by being guided by means of a curved track (49), in order for the folding mechanism (41) to be moved radially in relation to the folding turret (11), wherein the movable lever (46) is coupled to a follower means, in particular a follower roller (48), which can be moved along the curved track in order to move the lever (46), and in that at least one of the levers (46, 47) is coupled to a spring means, in particular a restoring spring (50), in order to retain the follower means on the curved track (49).
  11. Apparatus according to Claim 10, characterized in that all the folding mechanisms (41) can be actuated independently of the rotation of the folding turret (11), in particular by an individually controllable drive, it being possible for the folding mechanisms (41) to be actuated in each case via a parallelogram linkage (44) coupled to a curved track (49).
  12. Apparatus according to Claim 8, characterized in that the erecting mechanism (29), in particular a lid-erecting means (30), can be moved along a curved path (31) by means of a rotating drive (35) and of a lever device (32, 33), wherein the curved path (31) runs such that the erecting mechanism (29) can be moved into the pocket (12) laterally alongside the folding flap which is to be erected, and can be brought into abutment against said folding flap, the latter being erected in the process.
  13. Apparatus according to Claim 12, characterized in that the erecting mechanism (29) is arranged, and can be moved, above the pockets (12) of the folding turret (11), and in that the erecting mechanism (29) is arranged in a fixed location on the circumference of the folding turret (11).
  14. Apparatus according to Claim 8, characterized in that folding flaps of the blanks (10) can be retained by a negative pressure in the pockets (12) of the folding turret (11), and for this purpose suction bores (51), which open out in upright walls (20, 22, 24) of the pockets (12) of the folding turret (11), can be connected to a negative-pressure source, wherein the suction bores (51) open out into at least two walls (20, 22, 24) of the pockets (12), these walls running at an angle, in particular transversely, to one another, such that the blank (10) can be fixed in the pocket (12) at least in two planes running at an angle, in particular transversely, to one another, in particular such that the suction bores (51) open out in an upright wall (20) of each pocket (12) which is oriented tangentially in relation to the folding turret (11), and that the suction bores (51) open out in at least one upright wall (22, 24) of each pocket (12) which is oriented essentially radially in relation to the folding turret (11).
