Definitions
- the invention relates to a colored light, in particular a colored signal light for Automobile equipped with a lamp and a lamp cover in which the lamp a piston with a coating with a layer containing an iron oxide pigment, includes.
- Colored lights are used in various places in automobiles, for example for brake lights, indicators and fog lamps.
- conventional colored lights is the lamp bulb of the lamp made of clear glass and the lamp under a colored, mostly red or yellow lamp cover arranged.
- a newer development is possible there, for colored lights colored lamps under a colorless or uniformly neutral to use colored cover. This allows different colored signal lamps as Install the lamp ensemble under a uniform cover.
- Luminaires with colored lamps under a colorless or uniformly neutral colored Cover have the advantage that they have a flexible, visually appealing design for Allow integrated front and rear lights. They are also cheaper than using lights multi-colored housing or multi-colored covers. These lights are also still more safe because the difference between switched on and off Daylight lighting on luminaires with colored lamps under a neutral color or colorless lamp cover is easier to see.
- JP 52063235 discloses for example an electrostatic coating for pistons with a mixture of Iron oxide powder with an average grain diameter of 0.2 to 2.0 ⁇ m with 20 to 95 % By weight silicon oxide powder.
- Piston coatings with organic pigments e.g. B. the coatings with red pigments from the group known from JP-A-60 116958 the anthraquinone pigments can be optimized in terms of the color coordinates, yellow with time, however.
- the object is achieved by a colored lamp equipped with a lamp and a lamp cover in which the lamp has a bulb with a Coating from a first layer, which contains an iron oxide pigment, a second Layer containing an organic coloring material and one between the first and second layers arranged transparent layer, which is a silicon-oxygen compound contains, includes.
- a silicon-oxygen compound containing layer causes an improved layer adhesion compared to both the first and the second layer, a smaller change in color point with the Lifetime and thus also a longer lifetime compared to the piston coating a piston coating with only one pigment-containing layer, even with extreme Operating conditions there are no chemical changes in the iron oxide layer, because it is protected by the two overlying layers when it is internal Layer is applied.
- the organic colorant a pigment from the group of azo, anthraquinone, pyrazolone and triarylmethane pigments is.
- the organic colorant is a metal complex dye.
- a Desired standard color point already in a very thin layer can be set.
- Layers containing metal complex dyes have very good adhesion to layers that contain a silicon-oxygen compound.
- the iron oxide pigment is a Hematite pigment is .. Even if the layer containing an organic colorant is damaged the luminaire generates a colored signal lighting with the color of the brown-red hematite.
- the invention has particularly advantageous effects over the known state of the art the technique when the iron oxide pigment is a transparent iron oxide.
- the Yellow to orange-colored transparent iron oxide pigments can change at elevated temperatures change color.
- the transparent layer which is a silicon-oxygen compound contains, they are protected against this change.
- the layer that is transparent Iron oxide pigment contains the outside and the layer, which is an organic colorant contains lies on the inside, the organic colorant and above all the binder in the underlying layer from the influence of UV radiation and thus increases the service life the lamp.
- the piston may also be preferred for the piston to have a transparent cover layer, the one Contains silicon-oxygen compound includes. If the coating inside the Applied, the top layer prevents the chemical change of the Coating. If the coatings are applied on the outside, the top layer forms one scratch-resistant surface that further processing the bulb in lamp production facilitated. A cover layer with a suitable refractive index is preferred used, which reduces the scatter of the pigment-containing layers.
- the invention also relates to a lamp with a bulb with a coating a first layer containing an iron oxide pigment, a second layer containing a contains organic colorant and one between the first and the second pigment-containing Layer lying transparent layer, which is a silicon-oxygen compound contains.
- a colored lamp according to the invention is with a lamp and a lamp cover equipped in which the lamp has a bulb with a coating of a first layer, which contains an iron oxide pigment, a second layer, which contains an organic Contains colorant, and one arranged between the first and the second layer transparent layer containing a silicon-oxygen compound.
- the layer sequence of the coating can look like that on the piston as a substrate first the layer containing iron oxide pigment is applied, then the other two.
- the Layer sequence can also be reversed, so that on the piston as the substrate first the layer follows that contains an organic colorant.
- the colored lamp can also be used with other components, e.g. B. means of attachment, for protection against dust, damage and moisture as well as for energy supply necessary components, e.g. B. sockets, lines, ballasts, starters, Ignition devices, connecting terminals must be equipped.
- a desired light distribution and a glare limitation can be caused by optical reflectors, clear or cloudy End trays, grid made of metal or plastic, scatter glasses and prism reflectors can be achieved.
- the lamp comprises two or more colored lamps under a common lamp cover that are colorless or is colored in a neutral color.
- Iron oxide pigments are used for the first pigment-containing layer. Iron oxide pigments have a wide range of colors from yellow to orange to red, brown and black.
- the natural and synthetic iron oxide pigments used consist of well-defined compounds with a known crystal structure. ⁇ -Fe 2 O 3 (hematite) with a corundum structure changes its color with increasing particle size from light red to dark violet. ⁇ -Fe 2 O 3 (maghemite) with a spinel structure is colored brown. ⁇ -FeOOH (goethite) with a diasporic structure changes its color with increasing particle size from light yellow to brownish yellow. ⁇ -FeOOH (lepidocrocite) with a boehmite structure changes its color from yellow to orange with increasing particle size. These iron oxides are iron (III) oxides. The red-violet to black Fe 3 O 4 (magnetite) with spinel structure is only suitable in exceptional cases.
- the pigments and dyes are subsequently named according to their chemical constitution and / or the Color Index (C.I.), shared by the Society of Dyers and Colorists published with the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists, designated.
- C.I. Color Index
- Transparent yellow iron oxide CI Pigment Yellow 42: 77492 is ⁇ -FeOOH (goethite) with a diasporic structure. When heated, it converts to the preferred transparent brown-red ⁇ -Fe 2 O 3 (hematite) CI Pigment Red 101: 77491. Orange nuances develop with a shorter temperature treatment. They can also be obtained by mixing yellow and red pigments.
- the transparent iron oxide pigments are preferably used in finely divided, colloidal form with a grain size of 2 nm ⁇ d ⁇ 15 nm in order to obtain transparent layers.
- the intermediate layer contains a silicon-oxygen compound, e.g. B. amorphous or crystalline silica, quartz, a silica gel or a silica or a silicate, i.e. Salts or esters of silica, especially tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS).
- a silicon-oxygen compound e.g. B. amorphous or crystalline silica, quartz, a silica gel or a silica or a silicate, i.e. Salts or esters of silica, especially tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS).
- TEOS tetraethyl orthosilicate
- the second layer can be an organic pigment from the group of azo, anthraquinone, Pyrazolone and triarylmethane pigments contain.
- Anthraquinone pigments are pigments whose basic structure differs from that of anthraquinone derives. These include aminoanthraquinone and hydroxyanthraquinone pigments heterocyclic and polycarbocyclic anthraquinone pigments, e.g. Anthrapyrimidine, Indanthrone, flavanthrone, pyranthrone, anthanthrone and isoviolanthrone pigments.
- Pyrazolone pigments are azo pigments with substituted pyrazolones as coupling components and benzidines or substituted anilines as the diazo component.
- Triarylmethane pigments are organic pigments with a cationic triarylcarbenium structure, in which at least two of the aryl radicals are substituted with amino groups are.
- the second layer may also preferably be a metal complex dye, i.e. one Dye in which a central metal ion, preferably Cr, Co, Cu or nickel, bi- or multiple ligands are bound in chelate form.
- Azo compounds are preferred and phthalocyanines, whose oxygen or nitrogen atoms are attached to the Involve chelation.
- 1: 1 and 1: 2 complexes are particularly preferred Chromium (II) s, e.g. the metal complex dyes SY 82 and SY 56.
- the dye can in a nitrocellulose varnish for incandescent lamps, which in addition to nitrocellulose and an alkyd resin u Contains tricresol phosphate and xylene as a solvent.
- the cover layer contains a silicon-oxygen compound, e.g. B. amorphous or crystalline silicon dioxide, quartz, a silica gel or a silica or a silicate, ie salts or esters of silicas, in particular tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS).
- TEOS tetraethyl orthosilicate
- this additional top layer can also be a temperature-resistant, transparent, colorless lacquer or a transparent ceramic layer, e.g. B. from Al 2 O 3 or enamel.
- the pigments must be in water, an organic Solvents, optionally together with a dispersant, a surfactant and an antifoam or a binder preparation.
- Suitable for binder preparations for a lamp according to the invention are organic or inorganic binders that have an operating temperature of 250 ° C without decomposition, Resist embrittlement or discoloration.
- a layer thickness of 05 to 1 ⁇ m can be used for binder-free pigment coatings be enough.
- Binder-containing layers generally have a layer thickness from 1 to 50 ⁇ m.
- a dispersion of 15.0% by weight is first transparent iron oxide pigment PR 101, 0.75% by weight sodium polyacrylate as a dispersant, 0.075Polyethylene propylene oxide as an anti-foaming agent with water in one Agitator mill wet milled until the agglomerated pigment is dispersed.
- the cleaned and heated lamp bulbs are immersed in this dispersion and then baked at 480 ° C. 180 g of tetraethyl orthosilicate with 2077 g Mixed ethanol, 146 g of 1N hydrochloric acid and 27 ml of an anionic surfactant.
- the lamp bulb pretreated in this way is then placed in a 25% solution of SY 82 in xylene, the nitrocellulose, alkyd resin and tricresyl phosphate in a ratio of 1: 0.5: 0.6 contains, dipped and dried.
- the coated lamp was subjected to an accelerated thermal stress test where the lamp was kept permanently at 250 ° C.
