A flushing cistern, particularly a built-in flushing cistern, having a cistern body (2) in which, fastened in an upper part, there is a holder (8) on which externally operable elements (20, 21) for actuating an outlet fitting (30) are mounted, characterized in that, for holding further elements (24, 32), the holder (8) has a vertically extending mounting plate (9) which may be detached from a bridge-shaped region of the holder (8), is fastened to the inside of the rear wall (3) of the cistern body (2) and has holding means (12, 16) for fastening these further elements (24, 32).
    2. A flushing cistern according to Claim 1, characterized in that a horizontally extending bridge (17) is mounted on the mounting plate (9) at one end, and in that this bridge (17) forms the holder (8) in conjunction with the mounting plate (9).
    3. A flushing cistern according to Claim 2, characterized in that the mounting plate (9) has bush-shaped receiving parts (10) for mounting the bridge (17).
    4. A flushing cistern according to Claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the mounting plate (9) has means (12) for detachably fastening the inlet valve (24).
    5. A flushing cistern according to Claim 4, characterized in that the means (12) for fastening the inlet valve (24) have a latching fastening element (12).
    6. A flushing cistern according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that latching means (14) are used to fasten the mounting plate (9) to the rear wall (3) of the cistern body (2).
    7. A flushing cistern according to Claim 6, characterized in that the latching means (14) have latching tongues which reach through openings (6) in the rear wall (3).
    8. A flushing cistern according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that a holding-down means (32) for the outlet valve (30) is supported on the mounting plate (9).
    9. A flushing cistern according to Claim 8, characterized in that, to fasten the holding-down means (32), the mounting plate (9) has means (16) for receiving an upper end (37) of the holding-down means (32) in latching manner.
    10. A flushing cistern according to Claim 8 or 9, characterized in that the holding-down means (32) is rotatably fastened to the housing of the outlet valve (30).
    11. A flushing cistern according to one of Claims 8 to 10, characterized in that the holding-down means (32) has resilient latching teeth (38) at its upper end for fastening it to the mounting plate (9).
