Da der Schnitt in dem Zwischenraum Z ausgeführt wird und sich das Trägermaterial vollständig von dem Etikette E und der Laminatfolie löst, überragt die Laminatfolie das Etikette E, wie es in Figur 3 dargestellt ist.     characterised in that a laminated film web of a width which is smaller than the width of the base material web, yet greater than that of the labels is applied to the base material web, and that individual segments of the laminated label web are separated in the separating station by a cut which extends substantially transversely to the longitudinal extent of the laminated label web and is made in the interspaces between two consecutive labels.
