Definitions

  • the invention relates to a headlamp for vehicles with a dish-shaped reflector, arranged with a arranged in the beam path of the reflector lens, with a arranged between the reflector and the lens first aperture, which serves to generate a light-dark boundary of a light beam of the headlamp, and with a second diaphragm arranged above the first diaphragm, which serves to produce a second light-dark boundary.
  • Such a headlight for vehicles has become known from DE 43 01 936 A1.
  • the headlight has an ellipsoidal reflector with an inner and outer focal region. Between the reflector and a lens, a first and second aperture are arranged.
  • the first diaphragm is arranged below the optical axis of the reflector, while the second diaphragm is arranged at a distance above the first diaphragm.
  • the first diaphragm forms, with its focal line, a light-dark boundary which delimits a light beam of the headlight upward, while the second diaphragm images a light-dark boundary which limits the light beam toward the bottom. Due to the upper cut-off line, the light for the distance and the lower cut-off line defines the light close to the vehicle. It is disadvantageous that the lighting near the vehicle is not adjustable depending on the situation.
  • the object of the invention is to make the described in the preamble of claim 1 headlights for vehicles such that a close-up lighting a field in front of the vehicle through the second aperture of the headlamp is variably influenced.
  • This object is achieved according to the invention in that the second diaphragm about an axis of rotation, which extends horizontally and transversely to the optical axis, is adjustable in several rotational positions and has at least two different focal lines. The lighting near the front of the vehicle can be influenced while driving when the second panel is coupled to an electric drive of the headlight.
  • the position of the cut-off line does not change abruptly, but moves continuously when the second diaphragm is formed by a bet whose lateral surface has a focal line for each rotational position.
  • the focal lines can have the most varied course if the lateral surface of the second diaphragm runs deviating and irregular at least in a surface section of the lateral surface connecting two different focal lines.
  • the shaft can be designed so that the axis of rotation passes through the center of mass or near the center of mass of the shaft and thus no balance weights are necessary for the shaft.
  • the distance of most focal lines to the axis of rotation can be made substantially smaller than in waves with cylindrical surfaces.
  • the mass of the shaft is smaller than in cylindrical shafts, and the electric drive means of the shaft can be correspondingly small in size.
  • a first focal line of the second diaphragm is convex. This reduces the lighting in front of the vehicle.
  • the second focal line of the second diaphragm is concave. There is a reduction in side scatter.
  • the first and second focal lines should be symmetrical.
  • the first diaphragm also has different focal lines and builds easily when the first diaphragm is adjustable into a plurality of rotational positions about an axis of rotation parallel to the axis of rotation of the second diaphragm and has at least two different focal lines, one Outer surface of the first panel deviates and irregular at least in a two different focal lines connecting surface portion of the lateral surface.
  • An influence on the apron lighting is dependent on the respective rotational position of the first diaphragm, when the second diaphragm is coupled via a transmission with the first diaphragm. As a result, only a single electric drive is required together for both adjustable aperture.
  • the headlight has an existing plastic, cup-shaped housing (20) whose front opening is closed by a cup-shaped, translucent lens (16).
  • an ellipsoidal reflector (1) is arranged, which is adjustable by an adjusting device, not shown, about two mutually perpendicular axes.
  • the ellipsoidal reflector has in the apex region an opening (19) for receiving a light source (18).
  • the light source (18) is an incandescent lamp or a gas discharge lamp.
  • the light source (18) is arranged in an inner focal location of the ellipsoidal reflector (1).
  • a frame (17) is fixed, which carries a lens (2).
  • the lens (2) collects the light from the light source (18) reflected by the reflector (1). Between the reflector (1) and the lens (2), a first diaphragm (3) is arranged in a focal region of the lens (2).
  • a diaphragm (3) is a shaft which is adjustable about an axis of rotation (11) which extends below an optical axis (6) of the headlight horizontally and transversely to the light exit direction of the headlamp.
  • the diaphragm (3) has a plurality of focal lines (12, 13), which have a different course.
  • a focal line of the diaphragm (3) can be a light-dark boundary of an asymmetrical light beam and another focal line a symmetrical light-dark boundary of a light beam result.
  • the between the focal lines (12, 13) extending surface portion of a lateral surface of the first panel (3) extends in the circumferential direction and in the direction of the axis of rotation (11) irregularly.
  • a second panel (4) is arranged above the first panel (3) .
  • the first and second screens (3 and 4) are supported by a holder (21) fixed to the front edge of the reflector (1).
  • a diaphragm (4) also serves a shaft having different focal lines (7, 8, 9) and between the focal lines (7,8,9) in the circumferential direction and in the direction of the axis of rotation (5) is irregular.
  • the axis of rotation (5) of the second diaphragm (4) also extends horizontally and transversely to the light exit direction.
  • the wide diaphragms (3, 4) are positively coupled via a gear (15).
  • each rotational position of the first diaphragm (3) is associated with a specific focal line of the second diaphragm (4) of the respective active focal line of the first diaphragm (3).
  • a first focal line (7) of the second diaphragm (4) is convex and symmetrical, and a second focal line (8) is concave and symmetrical, while a third focal line (9) is asymmetric and convex.
