Definitions

  • the invention relates to an electromagnetic relay with a Coil, a yoke and an anchor, at least one fixed and at least one movable armature operable Contact, being a first contact directly with a first connection element and a second contact via two with a pluggable fuse, bridging conductor sections is connected to a second connection element and wherein the connection elements through a bottom side of the relay exit at the bottom.
  • Such a relay is for example from DE 32 09 915 A1 known.
  • a relay especially for motor vehicles, described in which within the housing of the actual relay system additional contact lugs upwards are guided and arranged on the outside of the housing Fuse are bridged, the connecting contacts through a top opening in the interior of the housing extend. Accordingly, the relay there must be in the housing top have a more or less central opening, thereby protecting the relay inside against environmental influences is deteriorating.
  • the one placed on the case enlarges Securing the overall height of the relay.
  • the aim of the present invention is to design a relay of the type mentioned in such a way that a standard relay design with as few changes as possible and as few additional parts as possible to accommodate one Fuse is equipped; the protective effect a housing cap are largely preserved and the overall height cannot be increased.
  • this goal is achieved with such a relay achieved in that the second contact is connected to the yoke is which is perpendicular to the bottom side in the area an outside of the relay extending yoke portion has that the second connection element in extension of the yoke section, electrically insulated from this, by the bottom side extends that both the yoke section and also the second connection element, one from the outside laterally protruding spring clip and that the two spring clips to hold the securing element together align at a predetermined distance.
  • the Plug fuse in the area of a side wall of the relay, whereby the spring clips to be connected to the fuse from the Housing are brought out. This is preferably done in close to the bottom of the relay so that the housing cap with their protective effect is largely preserved and only minor breakthroughs in the area near the bottom needs to show.
  • the spring clips are each preferably via webs with the Yoke leg or the connecting element connected to Sections over which the load current is normal anyway Designs is led to the outside. Compared to the standard designs So can the yoke leg and the second connection element remain essentially unchanged, only the usual direct connection between Yoke leg and connecting element is separated to the To enable bridging through the plug fuse.
  • the for Connection webs can, for example, in one piece formed with the respective yoke leg or the connecting element be or connected to it later by welding or soldering.
  • the Spring clips, which directly connect the blade of the plug fuse can be integrally formed with the webs or subsequently with these by welding, soldering or Rivets are connected.
  • a housing cap of the relay can largely keep their standard form if only with appropriate Recesses for the webs mentioned is provided. She then reaches with one of her side walls between the actual one Relays and the plug fuse with their spring clips.
  • the relay shown in Figure 1 has a magnet system with a bobbin 1, which carries a winding 2.
  • the sink sits on a base 3, which is parallel to a bottom side 4 defined to the coil axis.
  • connection elements led downwards perpendicular to the bottom side namely coil connection elements 5 (only one visible) and Load connection elements 6 and 7, each in the form of flat core.
  • An L-shaped yoke 8 extends with a main leg above the coil parallel to the bottom side and with a yoke section 9 perpendicular to the coil axis into the Proximity of the base 3.
  • the yoke 8 forms a bearing edge 10 for an anchor, not shown, the one also not shown contact spring with a movable contact wearing.
  • An invisible fixed contact is inside the relay connected to the connecting element 6.
  • the contact spring is over rivet warts 11 attached to the yoke 8 and thus electrically connected to it.
  • the yoke 8 is anchored in the base Connection element 7, which is designed as a flat plug, connected, to close the load circuit.
  • the connector is 7, which is arranged in the extension of the yoke leg 9 is not directly connected to the latter, but separated from it by an air gap or electrically isolated.
  • the connection is made using a plug fuse 12, the well-known structure of automotive fuses has. It essentially consists of one insulating support body 13, from the two plug-in knives 14 protrude downwards. Inside the fuse 12 are the two plug-in knives 14 low over a conductor section Cross-section connected, if the current load is too high melts and thereby interrupts the load circuit.
  • the spring clip 15 is connected to the connecting element 7 via a web 17, while the spring clip 16 with a web 18 the yoke leg 9 is connected.
  • the web 18 is welded onto the yoke leg 9 or soldered.
  • the spring terminals 15 and 16 are in the Case of Figure 1 stamped fork-shaped from a sheet metal level. But you could also as U-shaped spring clips 19 on accordingly horizontally bent out webs 20 and 21 placed and attached by riveting, welding or soldering. Such a modification is shown in FIG. 3.
  • the relay has a housing cap 22 which is cut open in FIG. 1 and is fully shown in Figure 2.
  • This Housing cap 22 engages with its side wall 23 parallel to Yoke leg 9 between the actual relay system and the Plug-in fuse 12. This is done by the base 3 and the housing cap 22 formed housing largely closed received because the housing wall 23 only in the lower Edge area recesses for the webs reaching through 17 and 18 must have.
  • a pocket 24 is formed on the housing cap, which encloses the fuse 12 together with the spring clips 15 and 16 and so protects.
  • the pocket 24 is towards the top open, so that the fuse 12 without removing the housing cap 22 can be replaced.
  • the backup can be a Stick out of the cap. Otherwise, the cap but be designed so that with commercial pulling aids the fuse can be replaced.
