Abstract

Machine for finishing of skins and the like, comprising a converging/diverging narrowed area (2) for introduction of skins (1), defined by an engraved roller (3) and by a lower conveyor belt (4), means for conveying skins towards the said narrowed area, in particular an opposite pair of belts (5, 6) which delimit a conveying channel (7), the said engraved cylinder (3) being provided with a scraper (8) which contains a finishing liquid (9) and rotates in a direction opposite the direction of advance of the skin (1) and of the conveyor belt (4), a guide unit (14) which is placed immediately upstream from the narrowed area (2) and is provided with an end (15) which converges in the direction of the said area and penetrates into the said area whilst extending along the entire transverse dimension of the latter, a first surface (16) of the said converging end (15) being placed, in service, in the vicinity of the portion of skin (17) which is placed immediately upstream from the narrowed area, the said machine being characterised in that the said first surface comes into contact with the skin, without exerting pressure on the skin itself, the said first surface (16) having means (18) for reduction of the area of contact between the said skin and the said surface, and in particular notches.
