Zum Verlegen einer Abschlußleiste wird daher zuerst das Hohlprofil an der den Fußboden od. dgl. begrenzenden Wand angedübelt, wobei das Hohlprofil aus einzelnen kürzeren Stücken oder aus über längere Strecken durchgehenden Profilschienen bestehen kann. Der durch die nach vorn offene Profilform entstehende Hohlraum eignet sich bestens zur Aufnahme bzw. zum Verlegen beliebiger Leitungen, worauf das Abdeckprofil mit dem Hohlprofil verrastet wird, so daß sich für die verlegten Leitungen ein geschlossener, schützender Kanal ergibt.
