Description

The invention relates to a device for supplementing the supply of a stack magazine with sheet-shaped packaging blanks, with one between one Provision position and the stacking magazine can be moved back and forth as well as relatively to the stacking magazine vertically movable stacking gripper.

Such stacking magazines are usually located directly on packaging machines, for example Cigarette packing machines, arranged. In such a magazine packaging blanks in the form of so-called blankets stored, which consist of relatively stiff sheet material and for the purpose of recording of cigarettes to form hard-cigarette packs, so-called Hinged lid packs, serve. They are stamped on the corresponding folded edges, Make cuts or cut-outs. The blankets are periodically removed from the stack at the bottom of the magazine, whereby perfect separation of adjacent blank sheets for single sheet removal is essential to rule out machine malfunctions.

A device of the type described at the outset is disclosed in DE 40 24 451 A, according to which a packaging machine magazine with a through a fork loaded blank stack is loaded.

According to WO 97 08 085 A, a residual stack located in the magazine is removed by means of one of a supplementary stack of cardboard blanks on top and bottom side Pliers grab replenished.

Under certain production conditions, especially with magazines Double shafts for two-lane packaging machines, in which a refill different residual stack heights by means of a single assigned transfer device irregularities in stack formation can occur.

The invention has for its object constant conditions in the Create magazines of packaging blanks.

This object is achieved in that the stack gripper is assigned a monitoring means which detects the stack height of a remaining stack in the stack magazine and triggers a gripper opening of the stack gripper for the free fall of a supplementary stack, which is arranged to determine a defined vertical distance between the underside of the supplementary stack and the top of the remainder stack ,
A functionally reliable configuration consists in that the monitoring means is designed as a spring-loaded touch-down button, which cooperates with a proximity initiator and which is expediently arranged in a height-adjustable manner in a holding bar of the gripper, whereby according to a preferred development, the proximity switch connected to a guide rod of the touch-down button is relative to one sensor stop attached to the retaining bar is movable.
According to a proposed modified embodiment, the monitoring means is designed as a light barrier which scans the upper edge of the remaining stack, which also automatically triggers the dropping of the supplementary stack after the signal is given.
In order to achieve the most effective, time-optimized movement of the stack gripper within its effective range, it is also proposed that the height-adjustable stack gripper be assigned a proximity initiator that monitors the vertical stroke within the stack magazine and that reduces a defined search range for a calculated fluctuation range of the top edge position of the remaining stack Lowering speed is arranged to trigger. This ensures high accuracy in a defined search area, while the stack gripper can be operated at relatively high speeds in the remaining movement space.

According to a further development, the radius of action of the stack gripper can thereby be optimized so that the one interacting with a provision position Stack gripper is arranged transversely movable between two stacking magazines.

The advantage achieved with the invention is that the supplementary stack always from a constant defined and minimizable drop height relative released to the rest of the stack by the stack gripper, so that as a result of the reduced Falling weight an excessive pressure load and marking of the bottom blanks of the remaining stack is prevented. Trouble-free cutting is thus guaranteed in the long run.

The invention is described below with reference to exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing explained in more detail.

According to FIGS. 1 to 3, a stack gripper 1 is not part of a portal 2, which does not contain a stack gripper 1 with a stacking gripper 1 in the direction of the double arrow 3 between a preparation position 4 for an additional stack 6 of packaging blanks in the form of blank 7 and residual stack 8 of blank 7 Stack magazines 9 shown in detail along a longitudinal guide 11 reciprocating longitudinal lifting device 12 is provided.
The portal 2 is also equipped with two vertical lifting devices 16 which raise or lower the stacking gripper 1 in the direction of the double arrow 13 along a double-sided vertical guide 14, and with one cross lifting device 19 which moves the stacking gripper 1 between two stacking magazines 9 in the direction of the double arrow 17 along a transverse guide 18 ,
Units of the type DGPL-PPV-A-KF from FESTO are used, for example, as longitudinal stroke, vertical stroke and transverse stroke devices which are not shown in further detail, preferably as pneumatic rodless linear drives with recirculating ball guides.
The stack gripper 1 has two opposite holding strips 21 which support an additional stack 6 and which can be moved into an opening position in the direction of the arrows 23 by the holding strip drive means 22.
One of the holding strips 21 is assigned a monitoring means 24 in the form of a touch button 26. The placement button 26 is arranged against a slight bias of a spring 27 by means of a guide rod 28 in the holding bar 21 so as to be vertically displaceable.
The pushbutton 26 interacts with a proximity initiator 29, which is connected to the guide rod 28 and is movable relative to a sensor stop 31 attached to the retaining bar 21.
Another proximity initiator 32 is assigned to the vertical lifting device 16.

As soon as a remaining stack 8 in at least one of the two stacking magazines 9 on one certain minimum height has dropped, the stack gripper 1 receives a signal Supplementing the respective remaining stack 8. The stack gripper 1 takes the in the ready position 4 located supplementary stack 6 and transfers it quickly into a position over the remaining stack 8 of the respective stack magazine 9, the Stack height in the meantime within a search area labeled S. may have dropped further. Within or when this search area S is reached According to FIG. 4, the one that responds in the downward stroke 13 of the stack gripper 1 switches Proximity initiator 32 the vertical lifting device 16 to a lower search speed around. The touchdown button 26 contacts this search speed the surface of the one that has dropped to the actual current residual stack height Remaining stack 8 according to Figure 5 and is relative to the retaining bar 21 against the spring force moves upwards so that the proximity initiator 29 moves away from the sensor stop 31 releases. At this minimum distance between the supplementary stack 6 and the remainder stack 8, the proximity initiator 29 activates the tether drive means 22 for opening the stacking gripper 1, the holding strips 21 according to FIG. 6 in Move apart in the direction of the arrows 23 and release the supplementary stack 6, which falls on the remaining stack 8 from a relatively low drop height.

In the same way, the meanwhile within the search area S becomes indefinite Residual stack height dropped second residual stack 8 from a defined Fall height added.

In the alternative exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, elements which correspond to those of the arrangement described above are provided with reference numbers increased by a hundred and are not explained again in particular.
This variant differs only in the monitoring means 124, which consists of a light barrier 133, 134 which scans the upper edge of the remaining stack 108 and which activates the holding strip drive means 122 to open the gripper by means of appropriate signaling.
