- This material can be printed sheets or webs, for example.
- sheets of paper are printed using the steel engraving process and then assessed qualitatively inline.
- the rotary printing press can be, for example, a steel engraving printing press known from EP 04 06 157 B1.
- picture elements of a sheet to be checked are compared with stored picture elements of so-called "master" sheets. If one or more measured values lie outside a predetermined tolerance of the corresponding measured values of the "master” sheets, an error is detected. - the counter reading is reduced by one for each error-free sheet. If the counter reading has reached a lower limit, for example the value 0, no further downward counting takes place.
- the counter reading is thus changed step by step according to the number of inspected, faulty and error-free sheets. This procedure takes place within a range of the counter reading from a lower limit, e.g. B. zero, up to a definable (selectable), upper limit of the counter reading. If this limit value is reached, a second warning signal is triggered and, for example, fed to the machine control. This signal can, for example, cause the speed of the rotary printing press to be reduced or the rotary printing press to be switched off.
- This procedure is based on the total number of inspecting sheet applicable.
- the sheets to be inspected are often processed in machines in which cyclical errors can occur. This is the case, for example, when the sheets to be inspected are printed using a rotary printing press known from EP 04 06 157 B1.
- This rotary printing press has a plate cylinder which is provided with three printing plates, each having an identical printing form. The non-printing areas of these printing plates are cleaned by a common wiper device after inking.
- This wiping device consists, among other things, of a wiping cylinder operated under pressure. If, for example, one of the three pressure plates is damaged or is partially a little lower, the wiper device does not completely clean this area. Therefore, every third sheet of all sheets produced would have a toning area. Toning areas can also only occur for a limited time, for example by slugs which are removed by the wiping device.
- each printing plate is assigned its own counter. This counter is synchronized with the printing press and the inspection device in such a way that a signal of an error-free or defective sheet printed on a specific printing plate is fed to the counter assigned to this printing plate. Each counter assigned to a printing plate is therefore only supplied with signals from the sheets printed and inspected by means of this associated printing plate.
- This particular counter can work according to the following simple principle: If a faulty sheet is detected, a signal is fed to the respective counter, whereby the counter reading is increased by one counting unit, e.g. B. one is increased. This is done for successive sheets up to a preselectable limit. However, by detecting a faultless sheet, the counter reading is reset to zero and only when the faulty sheet occurs again does the counting start. If this limit value is reached, a second warning signal is issued, which is forwarded, for example, to the machine control for triggering further processes.
- one counting unit e.g. B. one is increased. This is done for successive sheets up to a preselectable limit.
- the counter reading is reset to zero and only when the faulty sheet occurs again does the counting start. If this limit value is reached, a second warning signal is issued, which is forwarded, for example, to the machine control for triggering further processes.
- the method described at the outset is also used for counting these cyclically occurring errors. Accordingly, the counting up and down is carried out step by step according to the number of faulty and faultless sheets.
- This counting of cyclical errors is not just that described example of plate cylinders with several Printing plates limited, taking cyclical errors successive sheets or reports of the web can be detected. There are also other use cases possible. Relevant possible sources of error are that generate a cyclical error, at least one own counter assigned.
- Step size not equal to one it is also possible to count in other counter units or step sizes (i.e. Step size not equal to one) and with other limit values perform.

Description
The invention relates to methods for qualitative Evaluation of processed material according to the Preamble of claim 1.
Dabei werden jene Fehler identifiziert, die eine bestimmte Periodizität aufweisen.DE-OS 23 38 849 describes a method for Finding defects in rolled steel surfaces. there those errors are identified that a certain Show periodicity.
The number of consecutive errors added. If a faultless product occurs the counter reading is reset to zero.
The invention has for its object a method for the qualitative assessment of processed material to accomplish.
This object is achieved by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.
Advantageously, by means of method according to the invention error of the inspected Systematically recorded materials. Through the targeted Detection of errors and assignment to a The associated source of error is the location of an error facilitated. Waste and downtimes of the Processing machine are reduced. Especially with rotary printing presses (see EP 04 06 157 B1) with a plurality of identical ones Forme cylinder having printing forms is therefore one clear allocation of errors to the error-generating printing form possible.
Durch die Auf- und Abwärtszählung entsprechend der
Anzahl von aufeinanderfolgenden fehlerbehafteten und
fehlerfreien Bildbereichen wird eine sichere
Fehlerauswertung erreicht.
By counting up and down according to the number of successive error-prone and error-free image areas, a reliable error evaluation is achieved.
Because, particularly in the case of errors due to insufficient wiping of the inked printing plates in a steel engraving printing machine, it often happens that a plurality of defective sheets is followed by only one defect-free sheet and is followed by a plurality of defective sheets. If in this case the number of faulty sheets has almost reached an upper limit, the counter reading is only reduced by one as a result of this one fault-free sheet and the counter reading is increased again by the subsequent faulty sheets. The limit value of the counter reading is therefore reached quickly and a warning signal is triggered. This reduces unnecessary waste.
The process according to the invention is described in more detail below described.
Eine Verarbeitungsmaschine, beispielsweise eine
Rotationsdruckmaschine, ist mit einer Vorrichtung zum
qualitativen Beurteilen von bearbeitetem Material
versehen.
qualitativ beurteilt.
Bei der Rotationsdruckmaschine kann es sich
beispielsweise um eine aus der EP 04 06 157 B1 bekannte
Stahlstichdruckmaschine handeln.A processing machine, for example a rotary printing machine, is provided with a device for the qualitative assessment of processed material. This material can be printed sheets or webs, for example. In the present example, sheets of paper are printed using the steel engraving process and then assessed qualitatively inline.
The rotary printing press can be, for example, a steel engraving printing press known from EP 04 06 157 B1.
One method of assessing this arch is known for example from DE 42 06 366 A1.
Nach diesem Verfahren werden Bildelemente eines zu
prüfenden Bogens mit gespeicherten Bildelementen
sogenannter "Master"-Bogen verglichen.
B. eins verringert
wird. Folgen nun weitere fehlerfreie According to this method, picture elements of a sheet to be checked are compared with stored picture elements of so-called "master" sheets. If one or more measured values lie outside a predetermined tolerance of the corresponding measured values of the "master" sheets, an error is detected. This error can now be indicated optically or acoustically by means of a first warning signal. The corresponding sheet with an error can also be marked or sorted out. A counter is fed a signal for the defective sheet, whereby the counter reading of a counting unit, e.g. B. is increased by one. If one or more defective sheets follow directly on the defective sheet, the counter reading of the counter is increased by one for each defective sheet. The counter only adds the counter reading by one counter unit, e.g. B. one up.
If an error-free sheet is detected after a defective sheet, a signal for the error-free sheet is fed to the counter. B. one is reduced. Now follow more error-free
unteren Grenzwert, z. B. null, bis zu einem festlegbaren
(wählbaren), oberen Grenzwert des Zählerstandes.
Wird dieser Grenzwert erreicht, wird ein zweites
Warnsignal ausgelöst und beispielsweise der
Maschinensteuerung zugeführt. Dieses Signal kann
beispielsweise bewirken, daß die Geschwindigkeit der
Rotationsdruckmaschine reduziert oder die
Rotationsdruckmaschine abgestellt wird.Sheets one after the other, the counter reading is reduced by one for each error-free sheet. If the counter reading has reached a lower limit, for example the value 0, no further downward counting takes place.
The counter reading is thus changed step by step according to the number of inspected, faulty and error-free sheets.
This procedure is based on the total number of inspecting sheet applicable.
Daher würde jeder dritte Bogen aller produzierten Bogen
The sheets to be inspected are often processed in machines in which cyclical errors can occur. This is the case, for example, when the sheets to be inspected are printed using a rotary printing press known from EP 04 06 157 B1.
This rotary printing press has a plate cylinder which is provided with three printing plates, each having an identical printing form. The non-printing areas of these printing plates are cleaned by a common wiper device after inking. This wiping device consists, among other things, of a wiping cylinder operated under pressure. If, for example, one of the three pressure plates is damaged or is partially a little lower, the wiper device does not completely clean this area. Therefore, every third sheet of all sheets produced would have a toning area.
Toning areas can also only occur for a limited time, for example by slugs which are removed by the wiping device.
In this example, each printing plate is assigned its own counter.
Dieser jeweilige Zähler kann nach folgenden einfachen
Prinzip arbeiten:
Wird ein fehlerbehafteter Bogen detektiert, wird dem
jeweiligen Zähler ein Signal zugeführt, wodurch der
Zählerstand um eine Zähleinheit, z. B. eins erhöht wird.
Dies erfolgt bei
aufeinander folgenden Bogen bis zu einem vorwählbaren
Grenzwert. Allerdings wird durch Detektieren eines
fehlerfreien Bogens der Zählerstand auf NulL
zurückgesetzt und erst bei erneutem Auftreten von
fehlerbehafteten Bogen beginnt ein Hochzählen des
Zählerstandes. Wird dieser Grenzwert erreicht, erfolgt
ein zweites Warnsignal, das beispielsweise an die
Maschinensteuerung zur Auslösung weiterer Vorgänge
weitergeleitet wird. This particular counter can work according to the following simple principle:
If a faulty sheet is detected, a signal is fed to the respective counter, whereby the counter reading is increased by one counting unit, e.g. B. one is increased.
In a particularly advantageous manner, the method described at the outset is also used for counting these cyclically occurring errors. Accordingly, the counting up and down is carried out step by step according to the number of faulty and faultless sheets.
This counting of cyclical errors is not just that described example of plate cylinders with several Printing plates limited, taking cyclical errors successive sheets or reports of the web can be detected. There are also other use cases possible. Relevant possible sources of error are that generate a cyclical error, at least one own counter assigned.
For example, inside an arc Subareas, d. H. Windows are set that one get your own meter assigned.
Of course it is also possible to count in other counter units or step sizes (i.e. Step size not equal to one) and with other limit values perform.
