Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for cleaning a conveying surface a continuous conveyor, especially the tread an escalator or an escalator, with at least one in Rotatable brush means for removing dirt from the conveyor area.
- Continuous conveyors are endless transport facilities for the transportation of people or general cargo.
- the most common continuous conveyor for passenger transportation are escalators and conveyor belts.
- Escalators are used to transport people, for example in Department stores, train stations, airports, pedestrian underpasses, the direction of transport for escalators below an angle of inclination to the horizontal, so that with a Escalator a height difference can be easily overcome can, for example, from one floor to the one above or to reach the floor below.
- Show escalators a plurality of step profiles that are movable on endless encircling chains are attached and on both sides with Rolls are guided in slots so that the steps are always horizontal stay.
- the steps arise and disappear as a result of the curvilinear Course of the slots, i.e. before the steps arise or after they disappear, is the tread over the length of two or three step profiles.
- Roller conveyors are used for essentially horizontal conveyance of people.
- Roll tapes usually have a flexible, over the end arranged deflecting rollers guided endless belt.
- washing robots have been developed for cleaning escalators been.
- the washing robots have their own movement mechanism with which they are able to on a stationary escalator climbing the stairs while doing so to clean every single step.
- These washing robots are but very expensive to manufacture and also need their own energy source for their Locomotion mechanism. Since such washing robots only work very well is able to move slowly on the escalator Time spent cleaning the escalator even with these Washing robots very high.
- the further disadvantage is that the escalator during the cleaning process must stand still.
- washing robot is not for cleaning of conveyor belts are suitable because of their locomotion mechanism especially on getting around on an escalator is adjusted.
- Roll tapes are therefore made manually with washing brushes and washing liquid cleaned, which has the further disadvantage that the washing liquid in the drive mechanism of the Roll tape can reach, causing the function of the roll tape can be affected over time. A thorough one However, dry cleaning is hardly possible manually with a brush accomplish.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of a device to provide for cleaning a conveyor surface of a continuous conveyor, which are manufactured with little technical effort and with which the conveying surface of the continuous conveyor can be cleaned efficiently with low costs and time can, and especially for cleaning an escalator and a roller conveyor is equally suitable.
- this task solved in that at least one drive means for the Brush means is provided with a moving Part of the continuous conveyor can be brought into engagement, and the kinetic energy decreases from the current continuous conveyor, and that that Drive means the kinetic energy taken from the continuous conveyor transfers to the brush means, whereby this in Rotation is set.
- the device according to the invention enables automatic Cleaning the conveyor surface of a continuous conveyor, in particular the tread of an escalator or an escalator.
- the invention Concept of this device differs of the known washing robots in that the device cleaning of the conveying surface while the continuous conveyor is running allows while the device during the cleaning process does not have to be moved itself.
- the device according to the invention for driving of the brush means required energy from the one in operation
- Continuous conveyor itself will continue to be derived achieved the advantage that the device according to the invention also for the operation of the brush means no separate energy source needed. This means cleaning with minimal costs possible.
- the further advantage of the device according to the invention is that by means of the kinetic energy of the running continuous conveyor in rotation Brush means enables efficient cleaning of the conveying surface is so that even without using a washing liquid good cleaning results can be achieved.
- the time required to clean the conveying surface is also over the device according to the invention significantly reduced because of On the one hand, the continuous conveyor was not stopped during cleaning must be, but the cleaning is done continuously can, and on the other hand the cleaning time is no longer than the duration of one or more full revolutions of the production area of the continuous conveyor.
- the drive means is as Rotating part trained and takes the kinetic energy from an essentially translationally moving part of the Continuous conveyor.
- the design of the drive means as a rotating part Advantage that there is a structurally simple transmission mechanism provide from the drive means to the brush means leaves because the brush means a rotating part is. There is also a simple weight loss mechanism the kinetic energy from the continuous conveyor.
