- the invention relates to a gold alloy according to the preamble of claim 1. which contains 70 to 80% gold and 15 to 25% copper.
- Gold alloys for jewelry mainly copper, silver and zinc included have been known for a long time.
- Such gold alloys of a certain composition are characterized by the fact that they are curable. These alloys can be cured again after soldering, for example. During the Soldering at a temperature of around 800 degrees Celsius will soften the alloy. To give her the strength necessary for the stress during wearing give, must be cured at a temperature of about 400 degrees Celsius become.
- the alloy For jewelry or medals made by stamping or embossing the alloy should be easily deformable and therefore soft. The later necessary curing will also have an effect here due to the oxide layers that form disadvantageous.
- alloys that after the Soft annealing at high temperature with time even at normal room temperature an increase in their hardness or strength can be seen.
- Alloys contain 70 to 80% gold, 15 to 25% copper, 0 to 15% silver and 0.1 to 5% gallium.
- base metals which consist of aluminum, iron, gallium, indium, silicon, tin and / or zinc additional benefits are achieved.
- the alloys according to the invention are characterized in that they are suitable for Jewelry alloys important properties of workability, e.g. To water, Rolling, drawing, machining and polishing are excellent.
- the reddish-yellow color also fulfills the demands made of jewelry alloys be put.
- Jewelery made from these alloys can therefore be made from soft-annealed primary material Manufactured under easier manufacturing conditions and with the final finish be provided.
- the piece of jewelry achieves its necessary hardness and strength in a period of a few hours or days at room temperature.
- Another advantageous alloy has 70 to 80% gold, 15 to 25% copper, 0.1 up to 5% silver, 0.1 to 3% gallium and / or 0.1 to 3% zinc.

Abstract
