Abstract

The product band enters a further overlapping, double-sieve band (10, 13) region (20), where coating medium is applied through the sieves. An Independent claim is included for the corresponding papermaking machine. Preferably one sieve has a finer structure differing from that of earlier sieves (2, 6). Coating takes place on one or both sides. Following coating, suction is applied by nozzles or rollers, on the opposite side. Further material is applied and similarly extracted.

Description

The invention relates to a method and a Device for applying a liquid or pasty Medium on a running web of paper or paper Carton according to the preamble of the first Process claim, or the first Device claim.

The invention is based on the German patent specification DE 194 23 48 as the closest prior art. There is a headbox Fiber suspension deposited on a fourdrinier sieve. On the the Side of the sieve facing away from the fiber suspension (underside of the sieve) there are first drainage elements. A nonwoven forms here. After a Initial drainage is on the so far not by one Sieve covered side of the nonwoven fabric, a second sieve hung up. On the non-fleece Side of this second sieve are more Drainage elements arranged. Thus in this area a drainage of the nonwoven into the other direction. Opposite are on the Bottom of the first screen order equipment (Applicators) assigned to the screen surface. This Order facilities bring an order medium (Additive) - through the lower sieve - into the Fibrous web into it. The drainage elements (Suction devices) of the second sieve support this Penetration of the application medium into the fibrous web. in the Twin-wire sections are essentially on one They only have drainage elements on the outside other sieve outside only order facilities arranged. The order is only on one side of the Fibrous web.

A disadvantage of this prior art is that the generated papers, due to the relatively coarse Sieve structure as a result of the application of the Application medium also have large screen brands that means they point surveys and on the web Depressions that reduce the quality of the paper.

It is therefore another object of the invention Finding method and another device that results in an improved surface quality.

The object of the invention is characterized by the features of first procedural claim, or the first Device claim solved.

Der Erfinder hat folgendes erkannt:The inventor recognized the following:

A strainer that can be used for both drainage and Support the fibrous web when applying the application medium serves, with regard to its mechanical properties only be optimally designed for one of the two tasks. If the sieve is optimally designed for dewatering, so it has a relatively large mesh size, so one effective and quick drainage in the initial area of the Sieve section is created.

Furthermore, the inventor recognized that screen marks for one arise because the threads of the sieve are part cover the fibrous web and therefore on this Do not sufficiently place the order medium between Fiber web and threads arrives. On the other hand, it happens when applying the application medium in the area of a Mesh to an accumulation of the application medium. At the Detach the screen from the one wetted with the application medium Fiber web surface then arise in the area of Sieve meshes small, disturbing elevations. The bigger the Sieve meshes are the bigger they fall Surveys in their dimensions. These surveys lead to problems in the further processing of the Fibrous web. Otherwise, it can also be advantageous be when the wire is that of the applicator opposite, mechanically for optimally supportive Effect is designed so that there is a possible even application across the entire screen width results.

Due to the previous considerations, the Inventor to the solution described. Accordingly proposed to design the order process so that the first nonwoven fabric in a first twin wire arises, which is optimally designed for drainage is. Then the fibrous web is placed on a second Pass double sieve, which regarding its mechanical properties optimal for application of the application medium is designed in the screen area.

According to a development of the inventive concept the second sieve through which the application medium is placed on the Material web is applied, finely structured be designed, or a porous band than the two first screens used for the drainage of the screen be used.

In the second twin-wire zone you also have that Possibility of using the fibrous web from two sides to provide an order medium. This has that further advantage that the opposite sieve supports the order facility. But there is also Possibility of the order medium only from one side apply. In this case, only that on this page existing sieve can be more finely structured.

The design of the order facility can have all known embodiments. A exemplary embodiment is the use of a Coating unit in the form of a slot nozzle or Doctor device. Furthermore, the application device be a spray application system.

Another embodiment of the second invention Twin-wire zone is the arrangement of others Dewatering elements. Due to the fine mesh of the Sieves lead the drainage elements to an increase the dry content of the fibrous web, without noteworthy To leave sieve marks. An alternating one Arrangement of the drainage elements in the second Twin-wire zone also favors the symmetrical one Sheet structure of the fibrous web.

Placing one directly opposite each other Drainage element and application device in the second twin-wire zone, results in a more precise guidance the sieves and thus improves the order and Dewatering process.

Further refinements of the inventions are in the Subclaims to the first procedural claim, or the first device claim and in shown in the following description of the figures.

It is understood that the above and Features of the invention to be explained below not only in the specified combination, but also in other combinations or in USP can be used without the scope of Leaving invention.

Further features and advantages of the invention result from the following description of a preferred exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawing.
Fig. 1
Screen section of a paper or board machine according to the invention.

In FIG. 1, a stock suspension is shown by means of a Headbox nozzle 1 into a gap between the screens 2, 6 injected. The distance between the wire guide rolls 3, 5 determines the opening width of the gap. In a subsequent twin-wire sheet formation zone 4 of the first Double sieve zone 19, the suspension is dewatered to the extent that a nonwoven P is formed. The sieve separation takes place in the wrapping area of the screen 6 on the Screen guide roller 8. By a in the screen guide roller 8 Existing suction zone 7, the fibrous web P follows Course of the sieve 6. In the area between the Screen guide rollers 8, 18 touch the finer mesh screen 10 the fibrous web P. By means of the take-off suction roll 11 and its suction zone 9, the fibrous web P on the Screen 10 deflected. A second, fine-mesh sieve 13 is - coming from below - from the wire guide roller 14 deflected and from below onto the fibrous web P hung up. This creates a second twin-wire zone 20, the opposite of the first, which forms the nonwoven Double sieve zone 19, fine-mesh sieves 9, 10 has. A first application device 12 carries from above through the screen 10 through an application medium on the Pulp web P on. A subsequent one Drainage element 15 causes drainage after below and removes the fibrous web P further White water and / or water of the application medium. A Application device 16 carries to the other side of the Fibrous web P also has an application medium. The Subsequent drainage element 17 arranged at the top causes an upward drainage. This mutual arrangement of the drainage elements 15, 17 prevents one-sidedness of the fibrous web surfaces in front.

In particular, even in the first Twin wire zone pre-impregnating the web and the finer application in the second twin wire zone with the Means 12, 15, 16, 17 - as described - take place.

With the inventive method described above and the device according to the invention is now possible to apply the application medium in the To perform the wet end of the paper machine optimally, because now apply with the help of particularly suitable ones Sieving takes place during the initial drainage of the Nonwoven continues to be without any restrictions can be operated. This leads to the bottom line a substantial reduction of sieve mark formation and a uniform surface of the emerging Paper web.
