Claims (2)
- Method of encoding a reserve reel of web material (1) provided with a code carrier (12; 18; 21; 23; 26), for example for paper webs (4), the reserve reel of web material (1) having a core or a sleeve (3) and the code carrier (12; 18; 21; 23; 26), which can be activated and has a data store, being provided in the reserve reel of web material (1) or in the sleeve (3), characterized in that after partial consumption of the reserve reel of web material (1), the code carrier (12; 18; 21; 23; 26) has new and/or changed data written on it by means of a read/write head (29) arranged on a support arm of a reel changer.
- Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that the code carrier (12; 18; 21; 23; 26) can be encoded and read inductively.
