Definitions
- the present invention reports on chemical products which are used for cleaning glass surfaces.
- Various products are known for cleaning glass which contain ionic, nonionic or amphoteric surfactants together with alcohol, water and other supplementary substances.
- Such a known solution for cleaning glass surfaces based on surface-active substances with the addition of monohydroxylated alcohol, neutralizing agent and solvent consists of 0.1-1.0% by weight of nonylphenol polyethoxylate, octylphenol polyethoxylate and sodium alkylbenzenesulfonate as nonionic and ionic detergent agents, 10 up to 50 parts of ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol or other monohydroxylated alcohols, 1.25-5% by weight ammonia as neutralizing agent, 0.1-0.3% by weight of lemon oil, apple oil as a fragrance, 0.001-0.1% by weight Methylene blue, sodium cuprate as a dye, and 47-75% by weight of demineralized water as a solvent (patent specification RO 110260).
- Another known liquid for cleaning dishes contains 20-70% by weight of a system of surface-active substances, composed of 4 components, first the magnesium salt of alkylbenzenesulfonic acid, the alkyl chain consisting of 10-18 carbon atoms , 0.5 - 8% by weight of an agent for foaming, up to 10% by weight of an organic solvent, up to 10% by weight of a hydrotrope, up to 10% by weight of one or more selected additives from complexing agent, dye, perfume oil , Bactericide and preservatives as well as others and the rest water (patent document RO 108357).
- a system of surface-active substances composed of 4 components, first the magnesium salt of alkylbenzenesulfonic acid, the alkyl chain consisting of 10-18 carbon atoms , 0.5 - 8% by weight of an agent for foaming, up to 10% by weight of an organic solvent, up to 10% by weight of a hydrotrope, up to 10% by weight of one or more selected additives from complexing agent, dye, perfume oil , Bac
- the known glass cleaning products either have an insufficient cleaning effect, so that the product has to be used several times during cleaning in order to completely remove the remaining residues, or the products have a good cleaning effect, but leave streaks on the glass surface after use which then have to be removed, for example by wiping.
- none of the known products is the use associated with a preventive action against deposits.
- the object of the invention is to achieve a fast and efficient cleaning action without the occurrence of streaks after cleaning and a preventive action against the re-contamination by deposits by a new combination of active ingredients and thus to solve the problem described above.
- the products in accordance with the present invention eliminate the disadvantages of the known glass cleaners by a composition of 10-25% by weight ethanol (min. 85%) or isopropanol (min. 90%), 0.1-0.5% by weight. of an anionic surfactant from alkyl (C12) - benzenesulfonate, sec.
- Alkane sulfonate, fatty alcohol ether sulfate or fatty alcohol sulfate, nonionic surfactants which are composed of 0.1-0.3% by weight of fatty alcohol alkoxylate (C10-C18) and 0.2-0.6% by weight of fatty alcohol ethoxylate, a complexing agent with 0.001-0 , 01% by weight of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid or 0.001-0.02% by weight of the trisodium salt of ⁇ -alanic acid, 0-0.4% by weight of a fragrance or a natural oil, 0-0.3% by weight of an antistatic agent organic phosphoric acid partial ester and a quaternary ammonium compound with four substituents, identical or different alkyl groups or a hydrogen substituent, supplemented to 100% by weight with demineralized water.
- nonionic surfactants which are composed of 0.1-0.3% by weight of fatty alcohol alkoxylate (C10-C18) and 0.2-0.6% by weight of fatty alcohol
- the window cleaning products in accordance with the invention contain 0-0.2% by weight of organic phosphoric acid partial esters or 0-0.03% by weight of a quaternary ammonium compound as an antistatic.
- the products for antistatic glass cleaning or for cleaning eyeglass lenses according to the invention contain 0.005-0.2% by weight of organic phosphoric acid partial esters or 0.001-0.03% by weight of a quaternary ammonium compound as an antistatic.
- Example 1 Depending on their solubility in water, the wash-active substances (anionic surfactant, nonionic surfactants, complexing agents) are dissolved in 5 to a maximum of 20% solution in demineralized water. This aqueous solution is referred to below as "component A”.
- fragrance oil or natural oil as a hydrophobic component in 10 - 25% by weight (concentration based on the end product) ethanol (min. 85%) or Isopropanol (min. 90%) dissolved.
- the alcoholic solution is referred to below as "component B".
- this component can contain an antistatic of a maximum of 0.2% by weight (based on the concentration in the end product) phosphoric acid partial ester or a maximum of 0.3% by weight (based on the concentration in the end product) of a quaternary ammonium salt (preferably as chloride) with 4 of the same or different alkyl groups or three alkyl substituents and one alkyl group replaced by hydrogen
- Component A is then stirred into component B until a clear liquid is formed.
- This liquid represents the concentrate of the respective end product.
- the dilution of this concentrate with demineralized water for the preparation of the respective cleaning solution is generally carried out in a ratio of 1: 3, ie one part of the concentrate diluted with three parts of water. All manufacturing steps are carried out at room temperature and atmospheric pressure.
- the product obtained has a wide range of uses in the cleaning of smooth surfaces such as window glass, mirrors and the like.
- the cleaning solution is either sprayed onto the glass surface to be cleaned using a commercially available pump atomizer or applied to the surface to be cleaned using a cotton cloth which is moistened with the solution. Both methods should cover the area as completely as possible.
- the glass surface is dry-wiped with a dry cotton cloth in the second cleaning step. Re-moistening or re-soiling of the glass surface should be avoided. No further cleaning steps are required.
- the pollution is hydrophilized and in two ten cleaning step together with the aqueous phase and the majority of the alcohol phase completely absorbed by the cotton cloth.
- a thin layer of alcohol and perfume oil remains on the glass surface. Due to the high vapor pressure of the alcohol as a carrier substance, this thin layer evaporates without residue within a few seconds.
- the scent impression of the perfume oil used only remains in the vicinity of the cleaned glass surface. This cleaning mechanism is new in itself.
- Example 2 Component A is prepared as described in Example 1.
- Component B is also produced as in Example 1, in contrast to this the addition of surface-active substances, the antistatic agents, is prescribed.
- Components A and B are then mixed.
- the cleaning solution obtained in this way in Example 2 for the antistatic cleaning of glass surfaces realizes a preventive treatment of glass surfaces such as, for example, computer monitors, television screens, inside of the windshields in automobiles and other surfaces with a high load due to deposits.
- the cleaning solution is either sprayed onto the glass surface to be cleaned using a commercially available pump atomizer or applied to the surface to be cleaned using a cotton cloth which is moistened with the solution. Both methods should cover the area as completely as possible.
- a short exposure time usually 20 seconds with normal soiling
- the glass surface is wiped dry with a dry cotton cloth in the second cleaning step. Re-moistening or re-soiling of the glass surface should be avoided. No further cleaning steps are required.
- the cleaning effect of the antistatic product in Example 2 corresponds to that of the product in Example 1.
- the additionally incorporated antistatic agent influences the glass surface during the exposure time and evaporation phase in such a way that prevention of rapid re-contamination is ensured.
- the antistatic remains in a small amount together with the alcohol and fragrance oil in a thin layer on the surface.
- Example 3 Component A is prepared as described in Example 1.
- Component B is produced by adding the antistatic agents to that in Example 2 specified amount of 10-25% by weight (based on the end product) of alcohol.
- the oily component can optionally be added at a concentration of up to 0.4% by weight (based on the end product). The two components are then mixed together.
- the cleaning solution in Example 3 is used for cleaning and preventive treatment of uncoated and coated lenses.
- the cleaning solution is either sprayed onto the spectacle lens using a commercially available pump atomizer or applied to the spectacle lens using a cotton cloth which is moistened with the solution. Both methods should cover the area as completely as possible.
- the glasses are wiped dry with a dry cotton cloth in the second cleaning step. Re-moistening or re-soiling of the glass surface should be avoided. No further cleaning steps are required.
- the excellent cleaning effect of the cleaning solution is based on the synergistic interaction of the components (surfactants, solvents and complexing agents).
- the intermediate formation of a microemulsion can be dispensed with due to the small surface area to be cleaned.
- the incorporated antistatic agent influences the surface of the lens during the exposure time and evaporation phase (the antistatic agent remains to a small extent together with the alcohol in the thin residual layer) in such a way that prevention of rapid re-contamination is guaranteed (up to 10 days until Occurrence of renewed contamination).
- There is no impairment of visual acuity or an attack on the polymer coating of the spectacle lens e.g. through penetration of the cleaning solution into the pores of the coating or the like).
