Abstract

the vehicle has a passive spring damper system and an active pneumatic system with at least one double-sided piston-cylinder unit with at least one valve (6,7) per cylinder chamber (8,9) for delivering air and at least one for removing air. At least one electronic unit derives the valve pressure values to be regulated from detected cross motions. A bypass line (10) connecting both cylinder chamber outlets is used to remove air from a cylinder chamber. A pressure line or opening with a reduced cross-section branching from the bypass line communicates with the atmosphere, whereby the bypass line is connected to the atmosphere via a non-return valve (35) in a pressure line (34).
