L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant de mettre en relation des abonnés d'un réseau de télécommunications dans un central téléphonique, qui comporte une entrée pour recevoir des données sous forme de signaux, un élément pour former et traiter des données pilotant la communication à partir des données reçues côté entrée et un élément pour assurer la mise en signaux des données traitées à leur sortie, ainsi qu'un élément (DZO A) pour convertir les données pilotant la communication en paramètres neutres à l'aide d'une liste de paramètre prédéterminée, un élément (UMW, MOD) pour traiter ces paramètres neutres indépendamment du format initial des données pilotant la communication et un élément (DZO B) pour reconvertir les paramètres neutres traités en données pilotant la communication à l'aide de la liste de paramètres, afin de pouvoir transmettre ces données reconverties après une évaluation ou une modification à la sortie.
