Abstract

Ein Verfahren zum Betriebs eines Kalanders für ein Bahnmaterial, wie Papier, weist einen Walzenstapel (4) auf, der zwischen zwei Endwalzen (5, 12) mindestens eine Mittelwalze (6 bis 11) aufweist. Die Walzen haben je einen eigenen Antrieb (27) und sind durch einen Hydraulikzylinder (20) in Stapelrichtung belastbar. Zur Beeinflussung des Druckspannungsquerprofils in mindestens einem Arbeitsspalt (21) soll zumindest eine Mittelwalze (6 bis 11) aus der Stapelebene herausgebogen werden. Die hierfür erforderlichen Reaktionskräfte werden durch entsprechende Einstellung der Antriebsmomente erzeugt. Bei einem Kalander (1) der genannten Art hat mindestens eine Mittelwalze (6 bis 11) einen Schlankheitsgrad über 10. Eine Steuervorrichtung (28) ist für die Zufuhr von Antriebsmomenten vorgesehen, welche die Reaktionskräfte an dieser Walze und damit deren Ausbiegung aus der Stapelebene im Zulässigkeitsbereich hält. Dies führt zu einer günstigen Beeinflussung des Druckspannungsquerprofils.
