Definitions
- the present invention relates to a circuit for a vacuum cleaner nozzle and more particularly a vacuum cleaner nozzle with a soleplate, an evacuation pipe connected to a air circulation composed of a suction circuit and a triangular flow vein located on the sole and open to the surface to be cleaned.
- the invention also relates to a vacuum cleaner. comprising such a nozzle.
- Such a nozzle is relatively bulky, especially by its height. Furthermore, the openings have large areas which limit suction performance.
- the object of the invention is to overcome the disadvantages mentioned above.
- Another object of the invention is to avoid collisions between the air flows entering the circuit air circulation. These head-on collisions cause aeraulic stationarity phenomena, cause losses of charges and generate noise.
- the present invention is achieved using a vacuum cleaner nozzle with sole, conduit exhaust connected to an air circulation circuit composed of a suction circuit and a vein triangular flow located on the sole and open towards the surface to be cleaned, characterized in that the vein outlet has four suction openings forming a virtual rectangle, the suction circuit is having the form of an H in the middle of which opens the waste evacuation pipe.
- Such a nozzle thus presents a collection vein triangular, several suction openings connected between them by a structure substantially parallel to the surface to be treated and connected to an evacuation pipe by a T connection, perpendicular to the surface to be treated allowing the nozzle to present a compact structure, and keep good suction efficiency.
- the H-shaped structure symmetrical with respect to the drain connection in T, allows the nozzle to suck identical on each side of the squeegee, while also allowing waste to be collected via the channel posterior.
- said air circulation circuit comprises a plurality of deflectors intended to avoid a frontal collision between incoming air flows through suction nozzle openings.
- deflectors modify the directions flow of air flows so that these no longer meet head-on but tangentially.
- the squeegee vacuum cleaner has a sole 4 for moving on the surface to be cleaned, the edge of said sole has an angular zone 6 provided with an opening front suction 12 and whose end is rounded to avoid damaging the walls and furniture when displacement of the squeegee.
- the upper side of the sole is provided with an air circulation circuit 8 and its face lower is provided with removable pads 10 allowing the nozzle to slide on the surface to be cleaned.
- the sole 4 has a shape substantially triangular with two adjacent sides 24 each have a side channel 26 open towards the surface to be cleaned arranged along the edge of the sole.
- Each of said channels 26 is connected by means of an elbow 28 open to the surface to be cleaned at a posterior canal 27 arranged along the third side 30 forming the face posterior of the sole 4.
- Channels 26 and 27 form thus a planar triangular flow vein and parallel to the surface to be cleaned.
- Elbows 28 are substantially perpendicular to said side 30 and have each at least one lateral suction opening 13.
- the channels 26, 27 have a tubular shape and each of the channels 26 has a lower opening 14 while the posterior channel 27 has two lower openings 14 located symmetrically with respect to the midpoint of said side posterior 30.
- Figure 6 clearly shows that the four openings 14 form a virtual suction rectangle.
- the lower openings 14 are intended for ensure waste suction in one direction perpendicular to the surface to be cleaned.
- a T 11 connection, removably mounted on the upper face of said sole 4 makes it possible to connect, via said air circulation circuit 8, the pluralities of suction openings 12,13,14 to a removable tube 16 evacuation of aspirated waste.
- the air circulation circuit 8 has an H shape having a central groove 40 in which the conduit 42 constituting the horizontal bar of the connection in T 11 and two lateral grooves 44 connecting each of the two lower openings 14 located along the side posterior 30 from sole 4 to one of the two openings lower 14 located along one of the lateral sides 24.
- the T connection is located in the center of the circuit H-shaped air circulation, which ensures a symmetrical suction on either side of the nozzle.
- the configuration of the openings 14, by their size and positioning relative to the duct evacuation is such that the depression created under each opening is substantially identical.
- a nozzle presents another suction symmetry perpendicular to the first symmetry mentioned.
- the four openings have an identical role in their suction power, the so-called "posterior" part being able to also be used as a squeegee front without cause discomfort for the user in terms of surfaces actually cleaned.
- Such a nozzle thus presents a quasi-symmetry of order 4 at the level of the aspiration.
- the lateral grooves 44 of the air circulation circuit 8 are covered at their ends by a first cover 50 of flat shape and their middle by a second cover 52 of semi-cylindrical shape extending the duct 42 of the T-connection 11.
- these covers 50, 52 have been shown only on the lateral groove 44 left.
- the air circulation circuit 8 comprises a plurality of deflectors 20 intended to avoid a frontal collision between the air flows entering through the openings 14.
- each of the lateral grooves 44 of the H-shaped circuit has a side deflector 20 located near the area of encounter air flows entering through the openings lower suction 14 located one opposite the other.
- the connection at T 11 also includes, as can see in Figures 2 and 5, a central deflector 54 intended to avoid a frontal collision between flows of air circulating in the duct 42.
- the sole 4 is connected to the T-connection 11 by a hinge 56 making it possible, hand, a 360 ° rotation of the sole 4 relative to the tube 16.
- the articulation 56 includes a rotation element, not shown, composed of the T-tube which pivots itself by 180 ° in the housing formed by the central groove 40 around of a horizontal axis 58 merged with the axis of symmetry of the conduit 42 forming the horizontal bar of the connection in T 11.
- FIG 6 shows an alternative embodiment of the present invention, where suction holes 81 and / or equi-pressure are located in the center of the squeegee. These holes are arranged so as to form an area additional suction located under the squeegee, internally bounded by the three channels suction 26 and 27, one of these holes being in communication with the air outside the nozzle in order to allow the passage of air.
- This air allows to train the dust located under the squeegee towards the channels 26 and 27 as well as to the suction channels 14. Efficiency dedusting is thus improved. Furthermore this configuration reduces the force exerted by the crevice on the floor.
- the geometric parameters of the holes can be set (number, diameter, profile, location ...) in order to adjust the efficiency of dust removal as well as the displacement of the squeegee. This device is particularly suitable for surfaces of the type carpet.
- the soleplate 4 is covered on its upper side by a removable cover 60 of flexible material also covering the edges sides 24 and 30 as well as the elbows 28 of said sole 4.
- Said flexible cover 60 comprises in its middle a recess allowing the passage of the connection 11 to secure the tube 16.
- the cover 60 basically has an anti-shock function in the measure that the air circulation circuit 8 is completely covered by the covers (50, 52) and thereby the squeegee can suck up the waste even when this cover 60 is took of.
- the pads removable 10 shown schematically in FIG. 7, have a lower face 70, having a leading edge rounded 72, and are provided with a central pad 74 ensuring contact with the surface to be cleaned during moving the device.
- Said central pad 74 can be made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or any other material with good abrasion resistance and low coefficient of friction.
- the upper face of said pads 10 is provided a central crown 78 surrounded by an annular seal 80 intended to absorb vibrations when the nozzle is moves on a rough surface.
- These skates can be fixed on a part 79 linked to the sole 4 by hooks 77.
- Said pads 11 can also be mounted on a vacuum cleaner canister and on a steam cleaner without departing from the scope of the invention.
