Definitions
- the movable horizontal stage In nozzles of known type fitted with at least a load wheel thus facilitating movement on the work surfaces, the movable horizontal stage generally covers the whole of its lower part a friction brush.
- Said platinum can be move with the selector between a lowered position for which the brush projects downward relative to horizontal sole and raised position for which the brush does not protrude from the horizontal sole. In the lowered position, the brush is used for cleaning smooth floors while in the raised position the brush is used for cleaning floors such as rugs or carpets. In either case, when the soils are covered with bulky waste, the user is forced to lift the squeegee to clean the soiled area. Indeed, the sole occupies either a lowered position in which bulky waste cannot be sucked up, i.e.
- the object of the invention is to remedy the drawbacks aforementioned by using a nozzle allowing to vacuum either a surface containing waste bulky, i.e. an ordinary waste area, whatever the nature of the surface to be cleaned.
- the sole is movably mounted in height against a second device elastic return relative to an axis arranged in the middle region of the sole and supporting means on the ground, the height adjustment device of the plate acting on said axis and giving a combined movement acting on the axle and the sole making occupy, on both sides of a position unstable intermediate, two positions for which either the front edge of the sole occupies a raised position and the mud flap plate occupies a lowered position, i.e. the front edge of the sole occupies a lowered position and the bib plate occupies a raised position.
- the nozzle according to the invention cleaning by front and side air intake as well as the capacity absorption of different wastes are increased.
- the user of the vacuum cleaner fitted with the nozzle according to the invention no longer has to worry about nature of the floor to be cleaned. He just has to take into account the condition of the surface to be cleaned which is either a surface bulky waste, i.e. an ordinary waste area. Depending on the state of the surface considered, the user simply acts on the triggering selector depending on its positioning, a “waste” aspiration bulky "or” ordinary waste "suction.
- the design of such a nozzle is simple, ensuring thus an easy and fast assembly during industrialization and therefore making it possible to reduce its cost price.
- a vacuum cleaner nozzle dust 1 has a mounting body 2 which serves as housing cover for squeegee 1, one sole horizontal 3 secured to the mounting body 2, forming the base of said body 2 and comprising a suction nozzle 4, a connection sleeve 5 comprising a conduit internal 6 tightly connected to the nozzle 4 of the sole 3 and in which a tube is rotatably mounted suction 7, and a movable horizontal plate 8 carrying a flap 9 and positioned between the part upper of the sole and the lower part of the suction nozzle 4.
- the suction nozzle 4 includes a channel suction 11 opening onto the front edge 12 and on the lateral sides 18 and 19 of the horizontal sole 3.
- the flap covers for example the border posterior 13 of plate 8 as well as a part posterior to the lateral sides 14 and 15 of said plate 8 adjacent to the rear edge 13.
- the nozzle 1 comprises at least one load-bearing wheel.
- the nozzle has two wheels 16 and 17, rotatably mounted around a movable axis not shown carried by the sole 3 and passing through, for example, two bores, not shown, made at the rear of the said sole 3.
- the horizontal plate 8 is moved by a height adjustment device 20 actuable by a selector 21 movably mounted on the mounting body 2.
- the selector 21 comprises aligned axes, one of which only 22 is shown and, extending outward transversely to the horizontal base 3.
- the mounting body 2 has on its upper part, a hole 23 in which the selector 21 is placed.
- the part upper with hole 23 includes two hollow bores of which only one 24 is shown and receiving the axes aligned to allow the tilting of the selector 21 around said axes.
- the selector 21 includes an actuation means for example a tongue 25 comprising a jaw 26 and extending transversely to the aligned axes.
- Jaw 26 presents, for example, the shape of an inverted V and has two legs 27 and 28 straddling the device height adjustment 20.
- the nozzle 1 has a first elastic device 10 applied to plate 8 which is intended for occupy an intermediate position on both sides unstable two useful positions for which the movable stage occupies a lowered position and a position noted.
- the sole 3 is movably mounted in height against a second return device elastic 29 with respect to an axis 30 arranged in the middle region of the sole and supporting means 31 and 32 on the ground, the adjustment device height 20 of the plate acting on said axis 30 to give a combined movement acting simultaneously on the axis 30 and the sole 3 and defining, on the one hand and other from an unstable intermediate position, two positions for which either the front border 12 of the sole 3 occupies a raised position and plate 8 bib holder 9 occupies a lowered position, i.e. front edge 12 of the sole 3 occupies a position lowered and the plate 8 flap holder 9 occupies a position noted.
- the support means are made up of at least a caster 31 rotatably mounted around the axis 30.
- the support means comprise two supporting rollers 31 and 32 which protrude from the horizontal flange 3 through holes 31 'and 32' made at the back of the canal suction 11 and near the lateral sides 18 and 19 of said sole 3.
- the axis 30 of the rollers 31 and 32 stretches continuously between the sides sides of sole 3 and the central part of said axis 30 is slid under the duct section formed by the sole 3.
- the device height adjustment 20 consists of two corners 33 symmetrical, integral with each other which are positioned on either side of the suction nozzle 4 and one of which 33 is connected to the selector 21.
- Each corner 33 has two different active surfaces 34 and 35 in taken with lifting means to act so separated on the plate 8 and on the axis 30.
- the lifting means consist of two inclined planes 40 formed in the sole 3, positioned on either side of the suction nozzle 4.
- Each inclined planes 40 extends transversely relative to to the horizontal sole 3 and has a lower edge 44 which defines with part of the surface upper of sole 3 a first step 36 on which rests the corner 33 in the low position and a upper edge 37 which defines with another part of the upper surface of the sole 3 a second step 38 on which the corner 33 rests in the high position after sliding on said inclined plane 40.
- Each corner 33 has an anterior region comprising a section carrying the active surface 34 which is slid partly under the axis of the support means 31 and 32; a central region 43 on which one of the corners 33 receives the actuating means 25 from the selector 21; and a posterior region comprising another section bearing the active surface 35 which is slid under the plate 8, the underside of which has a notch 45 having an inclined edge 46.
- the active surface 34 of the anterior region and the active surface 35 of the posterior region are positioned respectively, for the position low, on the one hand, between the first step 36 and the axis 30, and, on the other hand, in the notch 45, and, for the position high, on the one hand, between the second step 38 and the axis 30 and, on the other hand, out of the notch 45 on the underside of plate 8.
- the corner 33 carrying the active surface 34 has a thickness less than the thickness of the corner 33 bearing the active surface 35 so that, during the passage of the low position to the high position, the elevation of the plate 8 is larger than that of sole 3.
- the inclined edge 46 of the notch 45 has a slope oriented opposite to the slope of the inclined plane 40 of sole 3.
- the first elastic device 10 has two rods 47 and 48 which are positioned on either side of the suction nozzle 4 and which include each a lower part secured to the sole, a body passing successively through a plate 49 connecting the two corners 33 and the plate 8, and a part upper limited by a head 50 whose diameter is greater than the diameter of the rod body, and two springs 51 and 52 which are threaded on the rods 47 and 48 and which each have a lower end applied against the upper part of the plate 8 and one end upper applied against the head 50.
- the second elastic device 29 has two other rods 53 and 54 which are positioned on the side and other from the suction nozzle 4, which each include a lower part secured to the sole and having a hole through 53'-54 'from which the axis passes 30 support means 31 and 32 and an upper part limited by another head 55 whose diameter is greater than the diameter of the rod 53, and two springs 56 and 57 which are threaded on the rods 53 and 54 and which comprise each one lower end applied against the axis 30 of the casters 31 and 32 and one end upper applied against the head 55.
- the plate 8 In the position shown in Figure 4 and corresponding to a low position, the plate 8 has a lowered position and the front edge 12 of the sole 3 has a raised position.
- the flap 9 extending over the rear edge 13 of the sole 3 and on the lateral sides 14 and 15 of the plate 8 limit the dispersion of the air suction flow due to elevation of the sole and thus promotes suction front of bulky waste. So he is no longer necessary to have the user perform a movement significant tilting of the sole around the axis carrying wheels 16 and 17 by means of the tube suction connecting the squeegee.
- the plate 8 In the position shown in Figure 5 and corresponding to a high position, the plate 8 has a raised position and the front edge 12 has a position lowered.
- the plate When switching from the low position to the high position, the plate performs a movement of vertical translation and the sole 3 performs a slight pivoting movement around the axis 30 of the rollers 31 and 32.
- the front border 12 of the sole 3 is practically in contact with the ground 60, which thus allows to obtain a frontal aspiration and optimal lateral.
- the floor being smooth or covered with a ordinary carpet or carpet slide easily under the front edge 12 of the sole 3 and are then sucked by the nozzle 4.
- the suction nozzle 4 comprising a channel 11 arranged on the front edge 12 of the sole 3, the waste located for example near a baseboard of a room are sucked in by the suction flow side which is thus also optimized.
