Definitions
- the invention relates to a coaxial cigarette by the preamble of the claim 1 described genus.
- Coaxial cigarettes are designed and manufactured to reinforce the constructive Structure of a cigarette on the smoke and draft properties influence to be able to take. Separate treatment is an option for coaxial cigarettes of the currents from the strand jacket and the core of the coaxial strand the filter jacket and the filter core of the coaxial filter.
- a transverse flow of smoke between the core and the filter jacket is said to be or between strand jacket and filter core can be avoided without Restrictions on the design of cigarettes have to be accepted.
- This object is achieved according to the invention by providing a smoke flow barrier between the strand core and the filter jacket and / or the strand jacket and the filter core in the connection area of the strand core cladding and filter core cladding released.
- a smoke flow barrier according to the invention prevents incorrect flow from the Strand core in the filter jacket or from the strand jacket in the filter core.
- cross currents can occur, namely at the gap which the filter-side end of the strand core sheathing and separates the end of the filter core sheathing from one another.
- the above The mentioned gap is closed, so that it is no longer necessary to special designs of the train resistance on the use of certain tobacco or Tobacco replacement materials and filter materials on flow control To influence. Materials can be used in a wider range as well desired condensate target values can be achieved.
- the filter core cladding and the strand core cladding essentially have the same diameter, there is an advantageous embodiment of the Smoke flow barrier the ability to place the two wrappers at their point of contact to connect seamlessly.
- the strand core sheathing and the filter core sheathing are formed in one piece.
- the filter is advantageously at least partially as a tobacco filter formed, wherein the filter jacket and / or the filter core made of a tobacco material with a different tobacco packaging density compared to the associated strand part be formed.
- the entire cigarette is made coaxial Strand of tobacco manufactured.
- the packing density of a Strand segment or an associated tobacco filter segment increased so that the Filtration coefficient of at least one of the filter segments from the filtration coefficient of the associated tobacco rod segment is different.
- Such Cigarette with tobacco filter is easy to manufacture in quick online operation.
- the inner strand is strung together by Filter cigarettes formed in the diameter of the coaxial cigarette core.
- the filter cigarettes become an endless strand analogous to the filter and strand bonding connected and the strand and filter jacket consist of tobacco.
- Such a cigarette is also available with existing cigarette manufacturing technology establish fast online operation.
- the production of the core segments exists according to a further embodiment the invention in that the strand core and the filter core in the connection area connected to each other by means of a wrapping, preferably made of covering paper become.
- the wrapping covers the gap, i.e. the joint between the two Core envelopes and seals them against false currents.
- the strand casing and the filter casing can also be filled with a tobacco or filter material in the area of the wrapping.
- a tobacco or filter material in the area of the wrapping.
- Another group of embodiments of the coaxial cigarettes according to the present Invention is not based on the complete closing of the connection between Strand core cladding and filter core cladding. Rather, it uses the flow properties of the smoke flow or its predetermined direction from and erected the smoke barrier in that the strand core and the filter core with a different Be provided with diameter and the envelope of the filter core over protrudes a predetermined path into the strand core or the strand jacket.
- the Diameter difference between the outer diameter of the filter core casing and The inner diameter of the strand core covering must be so small that between the Envelopes such a high flow resistance that there is no smoke between the casings can flow. This also creates a smoke flow barrier.
- the filter core has a smaller diameter than the strand core, the protruding part of the filter core cladding is added within the strand core when filter and strand are put together.
- the two core wrappings form an undercut in the overlapping area. In the above mentioned example can then be prevented from smoke from a radial segment got into the other.
- the above-mentioned embodiment therefore works, which is the separate treatment of the Smoke flow affects, in one direction and blocks a cross flow from Strand core in the filter jacket or from the strand jacket in the filter core.
- the invention further relates to a method for producing a coaxial cigarette with the steps described in claim 8.
- the formation of the smoke barrier advantageously a constructive smoke flow barrier, which has already for the advantages described coaxial cigarette.
- the strand core cladding and the filter core cladding are formed in one piece, wherein the filter is at least partially designed as a tobacco filter and the filter jacket and / or the filter core made of a tobacco material with one compared to the associated Strand part changed tobacco packing density are formed.
- the filter is at least partially designed as a tobacco filter and the filter jacket and / or the filter core made of a tobacco material with one compared to the associated Strand part changed tobacco packing density are formed.
- Another embodiment of the method according to the present invention is distinguished characterized in that the strand core and the filter core in the connection area by means of a wrap, preferably made of covering paper, connected to each other without gaps become.
- a wrap preferably made of covering paper
- the strand jacket and the filter jacket in the area of the winding Leave empty or with a tobacco or filter material, for example with Granules or filled with filter fleece tapes.
- An alternative embodiment of the method according to the invention consists in the strand core and the filter core with slightly different diameters to manufacture and the shell of the filter core protrude so that they when connecting the strand and filter in the strand core or in the strand jacket protrudes.
- Fig. 1 shows the simplest version of a cigarette according to the invention with cross flow barrier, namely the version with a tobacco filter.
- the cigarette consists of a strand 10 and a filter 20.
- the strand is composed of a strand core 11, a strand core covering 12, a strand covering 13 and a strand covering covering 14 built.
- the filter accordingly consists of a filter core 21, a filter core cover 22, a filter jacket 23 and a filter jacket cover 24. Cores 11, 21 and shells 13, 23 each have the same diameter so coaxial.
- the coaxial cigarette with tobacco filter 20 according to FIG. 1 is generally considered to be coaxial Strand of tobacco manufactured.
- the dashed line 25 does not designate one here Separation point like an attached filter, but serves to indicate where in this cigarette with tobacco filter 20 different tobacco properties on both sides available. These different tobacco properties on both sides of the dashed Line 25 are the reason for the different properties of strand 10 and Filter 20.
- the coaxial cigarette according to FIG. 1 is provided with the filter jacket covering 24.
- the enclosure 24 may include a ventilation zone.
- the part of the coaxial cigarette beneath the filter jacket 24 acts as a filter 20.
- the filtration coefficient at least one of the two filter segments is from the filtration coefficient of the associated tobacco rod segment (Strand core 11 or strand jacket 13) different. This is achieved through the Use of corresponding bead washers in the production, analogously to that so-called "end reinforcement”.
- either Packing density of one of the strand segments 11, 13 or that of the associated one Tobacco filter segments 21, 23 "reinforced".
- the filter cigarette points out as being coaxial overall
- the tobacco rod is manufactured, there is no gap in the border area of the core wrapping 12 and filter core covering 22, since the covering 12, 22 for both of these Segments 11, 21 is made in one piece. So that the smoke can come out of each String segment are treated separately in the respective filter segment, i.e. Smoke off the strand core 11 only gets into the filter core 21, and smoke from the strand jacket 13 only gets into the filter jacket 23.
- the coaxial cigarette according to FIG. 1 can also be used in the area of the filter 20 be provided with a covering paper.

- step II a part of the filter-side strand jacket 13 with the Cover 14 removed.
- an outer ring on the strand side End of the filter 20 by cutting off the filter jacket 23 with the filter jacket covering 24 removed so that only the cores at the junction 11, 21 with their wrapping 12, 22 remain. There will be a ring of about 2 to 4 mm in length away.
- step III the cores 11, 21 are brought together and in a joint a covering paper 30 wrapped.
- the covering paper 30 is glued; it is impervious to smoke.
- step III the smoke flow barrier according to the invention is created, which at the junction of strand core and filter core a cross flow of Smoke prevented on both sides.
- Cigarette "completed" There are several ways to do this:
- the gap 31 above the covering paper can simply be left empty; it there is a gap width of 4 to 5 mm.
- it becomes relative rigid covering paper 32 is used as the outer wrapping to provide adequate To ensure the shape of the cigarette.
- Another option is to fill the gap 31 over the inner tipping paper 30 tobacco to put an outer covering paper 32 over it.
- the width of the gap 21 is 4 to 8 mm.
- the gap over the connection point of the two cores 11, 21 are filled with granules.
- the granules can be inactive or be selectively filtering, such as one of the known chamber filter materials.
- the outer circumference of the cigarette is wrapped with topping paper 32; the The width of the gap 31 is 4 to 8 mm.
- Another conceivable way of closing the aforementioned gap 31 is to wrap these with filter fleece tapes until the outer diameter of the cigarette is reached. Then a covering paper 32 is again applied over the outer shell. This "filling process” is also carried out with gap widths of 4 to 8 mm.
- the width of the topping paper 32 must be the outside around the cigarette, i.e. is applied over the filter and the gap 31, at least 3 mm longer than the filter length plus the width of the removed filter Strand jacket.
- the material with which the gap 31 in the removed jacket area on the strand and on Filter is filled, can be glued to the wrap 30.
- FIG. 3 again shows an alternative production possibility for an inventive one Coaxial cigarette using process steps I to III.
- a coaxial cigarette with a strand 10 and a filter 20 is formed, in which the sheaths 12, 22 of strand and filter core overlap.
- Step I shows a coaxial line 10 and a coaxial filter 20, which are individually to get prepared.
- the diameter of the strand core 11 is slightly larger than the diameter of the filter core 21.
- step II a strand egg term ring segment of the filter jacket removed, for example cut off. It there is an overhang 40 of the filter core 21 on the side of the strand 10.
- the filter 20 is made to complete the cigarette Strand 10 attached so that the projection 40 penetrates into the strand core region 11.
- the sheath 12 of the strand core and the protrusion 40 overlap over a certain length.
- Fig. 3 The cigarette manufacturing method shown in Fig. 3 is only one of several possible types of processes with which coaxial cigarettes with cross flow barrier can be produced.
- the material-free zone at the end of the filter core on the strand side can be divided into several Types are produced, namely, for example, by pressing the Filter material or by cutting / milling the filter material. Of the Overhang 40 can both in the filter manufacturing machine and when preparing of the filter are formed.
- the supernatant 40 can both on the strand side by the methods described above as well as on the mouth side of the filter 20.
- the material-free zone above the filter core 21 should have a width of 2 to 5 mm.
- the diameter of the strand core 11 must be larger than the diameter of the filter core 21 (Fig. 3) and so small that the filter core just in the Tobacco core can be inserted.
- the protrusion 40 is formed on the strand side is the supernatant 40 when merging strand 10 and filter 20 pressed into the tobacco rod that the filter core covering 22 is below the Sheath 12 of the strand core 11 pushes and the strand-side filter jacket 23 with completes the filter-side strand jacket 13.
