Module according to Claim 3, characterized in that the mask (26) comprises at least one area (33) of transparent material which is superimposed on one of the said orifices (25) and/or at least one area (34) which is elastically deformable to form a keypad element which is superimposed on one of the said operating keys (20), each of the said areas being provided with indications relating to the nature or the indicating or operating element (20) with which it is associated.
  5. Module according to Claim 3, characterized in that the mask (26) comprises a label whose general appearance is identical to that of the peripheral area (29) of the frame (28).
  6. Panel for indicating and/or controlling the operation of a system comprising a set of sensors and/or active elements, characterized in that it comprises a set of modules (10) according to any one of Claims 1 to 5.
  7. Device for controlling the operation of a building surveillance and fire safety system, comprising a central unit for controlling and operating functional elements for carrying out safety functions, and a human/machine interface connected to the central unit for the indication and/or control of the operation of the system, characterized in that the interface comprises an indication and/or control panel according to Claim 6.
