Abstract

Cette invention porte sur un procédé de production d'un dérivé fonctionnalisé de polyisobutylène (PIB) qui consiste à catalyser un PIB en présence d'un bromure d'hydrogène, puis à catalyser le bromure PIB obtenu pour déplacer au moins un atome bromé avec un autre groupe fonctionnel. Ce procédé permet d'obtenir de très faibles niveaux d'halogène résiduel dans le produit final, comparé aux procédés habituels de chloration, en particulier lorsque le PIB a un pourcentage élevé de liaisons C=C vinylidènes.
