Abstract

The deep-freezer (1) includes a deep-freeze container (2) with a reception space (3) for the food, which is accessible through at least one aperture (4) lockable by device of a cover (8), and a deep-freeze element (5) for cooling the reception space. The deep-freeze element is spatially separated from the deep-freeze container and connected with it over flexible coolant conductors (6). The cover (8) is bent in a direction towards an usage side (7) with respect to the horizontal plane, whereby the cover is preferably dimensioned smaller than the surface area of the upper side of the deep-freeze container.
