1 Claim.

This invention appertains to new and useful improvements in display cases and more particularly to a display case for displaying various commodities in a store window.

The principal object of the invention is to provide a show case which is especially designed to be accommodated in store windows where it will not occupy the floor space of a store and V where it will be in the ideal place for display purposes.

Another important object of the invention is to provide a show case especially adapted for installation in store windows which will allow visibility from all angles.

Other objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent to the reader of the following specification.

In the drawings-- Figure 1 represents a rear elevational view of the show case.

Figure 2 is a front elevational view.

Figure 3 is an end elevational view.

Figure 4 is a vertical sectional view on the line 44 of Figure 1.

Referring to the drawings by numerals, my improved show case comprises upright front and rear end frame members 8 forming corner legs. Horizontal lower front, rear, and end frame members 5 connecting said end frame members 8 together form therewith a lower rectangular frame. Similar front, rear, and end frame members 6 connect the end frame members 8 above the members 5 to form with said end frame members 8 a higher, horizontal frame above and spaced from the lower horizontal frame. Front, rear, and end panels I close the space between the lower and higher frames. From a suitable point above the front horizontal frame members 6 of the higher frame, the front end frame members 8 slope upwardly and rearwardly, as at It]. A horizontal front intermediate bar [3 extends between the front upright end frame members 8 at a level corresponding to the beginning of the slope of said front end frame members 8. A lower, similar front bar extends between the upright front end frame members 8 along the front horizontal member 6. Another, similar bar l2 extends between the tops of the upright front end frame members 8. Above each horizontal end frame member 8 a panel of glass is mounted to extend between the upright 'end frame members 8 and a top bar 8" extending between the tops of said end frame members 8. Between the intermediate and lower horizontal bars l3, I4 a vertical glass pane I1 is suitably mounted. Also, between the intermediate and upper horizontal bars l3, I2 is a pair of panels It, IS of glass sloping upwardly and rearwardly and each of which is arranged to form a sliding door, as shown in Figure 2. 22 and 23 are mounted. A suitable refrigerating apparatus 24 can be mounted in the compartment 25 between the bottom I8 and another support 26 which is supported by the lower frame members 5.

A top pane of glass II is fitted between the upper horizontal bar l2, the top of frame 2|, and the bars 8.

While the foregoing specification sets forth the invention in specific terms, it is to be understood that numerous changes in the shape, size and materials may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as claimed hereinafter.

Having described the invention, what is claimed as new is:

A show case having ends each comprising a pair of upright front and rear end frame members forming corner legs, lower horizontal front, rear and end members forming with said upright end frame members a lower rectangular frame, higher horizontal front, rear and end members forming with said upright end frame members a higher rectangular frame spaced above said lower frame, front, rear and end panels closing the space between said lower and higher frames, the upright front frame members sloping upwardly and rearwardly from a point above the horizontal higher frame, a horizontal intermediate front bar extending between the upright front frame members at a level corresponding to the beginning of the slope of said upright front end frame members, a pair of lower and upper front horizontal bars extending between the upright front end frame members, the lower one along the front horizontal bar of the higher frame and the upper one between the tops of the upright front end frame members, a vertical glass panel extending between said lower and intermediate front horizontal bars, sloping sliding glass doors between said intermediate and upper front horizontal bars, a'rectangular rear frame extending from the rear horizontal member of the higher frame to the tops of said upright rear end frame members, spaced apart glass panels in said rear frame forming a double wall therein, and a glass top extending between the upper front horizontal bar and said rear frame andbetween the tops of said upright end frame members, said rear frame projecting rearwardly of the rear horizontal frame member of the higher horizontal frame.
