Definitions
- the invention relates to a vacuum cleaner according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a vacuum cleaner is known from DE-A-3 337 460.
- Another vacuum cleaner is, for example, from WO-A-94/15519 known.
- This essentially consists of from a stationary bottom part and one from the bottom part removable suction device, which after acceptance as Handheld device is used.
- the motor-suction unit is in integrated in the removable handheld device.
- the bottom part has one with a spiral cable for voltage connection provided connector, with the removable Handheld device via another live cable the bottom part connector is connected, this via a cable drum arranged in the bottom part, which automatically, for example via a spring formation, a winding the line length not required between Bottom part and handheld device.
- To use this Vacuum cleaner is the handheld device from the stationary Bottom part removed and then, for example, with a suction pipe and a suction nozzle or the like. At The handset is not used again in the base part inserted, the cable drum winding up the current-carrying line.
- the vacuum cleaner formed in this way can be used both as a conventional floor vacuum device and as a fully self-sufficient handheld vacuum cleaner.
- the hand-held device containing the motor-suction unit is arranged on the bottom part and preferably locked with it.
- the power line connection is formed by a cable provided with a conventional plug, which can be wound up on a cable drum arranged in the base part. From this cable drum another line connection goes out for the connection of the coupled hand-held device part.
- the base part is provided with wheels or rollers, as are also used in known commercial floor suction devices.
- the handheld device is completely uncoupled from the base part, ie also with the line connection disconnected.
- the power supply of the hand-held device can then take place, for example, via a rechargeable battery or the like which is built into the hand-held device and which can be charged via the bottom part in the suction operation.
- a rechargeable battery or the like which is built into the hand-held device and which can be charged via the bottom part in the suction operation.
- an embodiment is preferred in which the handheld device is supplied via a power line to be connected when used as a handheld vacuum cleaner. It is essential, however, that the handheld device is completely decoupled from the base part when used as a handheld vacuum cleaner. It has been shown to be a significant advantage of this embodiment according to the invention that a suction hose which is required for the floor operation and which is to be connected to the motor-suction unit can also be used during operation as a hand-held vacuum cleaner, for example in over-floor work for vacuuming upholstery or the like.
- the handheld device when used as a handheld vacuum cleaner, can be equipped with a handle and an attachment, for example in the form of a suction nozzle.
- the base part has a rigid socket for the line plug connection with the hand-held device, when the hand-held device is coupled to the base part.
- This rigid socket interacts with a plug receptacle arranged on the handheld device to form the line plug connection.
- a cable connector is known from the not previously published patent application by the applicant DE-A-196 08 247.
- this cable plug-in connection there is preferably also a latching between the hand-held device and the base part.
- the hand-held connector which interacts with the socket on the bottom part, is used when used as a handheld vacuum cleaner, ie when the hand-held device is uncoupled from the bottom part, for receiving a socket provided with a conventional mains lead and a plug.
- the bottom part can be designed, for example, in the form of a plate-like chassis, the socket for the line plug connection with the hand-held device being designed in the region of the support base of the bottom part. According to the invention, however, it is proposed that the socket be designed to partially overlap the motor-suction unit.
- the socket is formed on a cantilever arm of the base part.
- this cantilever arm which has the socket, projects freely from a receiving floor, essentially vertically upwards, in a gooseneck-like manner, with respect to a plane extension of the base part.
- the root region of the cantilever arm can also be provided in an end region of the base part, based on the usual direction of travel of the base part.
- the cantilever arm having the socket is formed in a corner region of the aforementioned end region on the base part.
- the hand-held device is coupled to the base part via the line plug connection in an area of the hand-held device in which a swiveling filter cassette can also be formed.
- the cantilever arm In order to enable this cassette to be opened to replace the inserted filter bag even when the position is coupled to the base part, the cantilever arm must be designed so that it does not engage in the opening path of the cassette.
- the mentioned corner arrangement proves to be advantageous.
- the design of the cantilever arm is selected so that it partially overlaps the hand-held device, the coupling of the socket part on the bottom part and the hand-held plug receptacle taking place above the openable filter cassette in the region of a cantilevered cantilever part of the hand-held device housing.
- the design is selected so that the plug connection is made approximately centrally with respect to the width of the base part and the hand-held device, the socket being oriented such that it extends in the longitudinal direction, ie in the direction of the usual direction of travel of the base part.
- the hand-held device To open the filter cassette of the hand-held device, it is preferably pivoted in such a way that the filter cassette plunges under the freely projecting socket.
- the hand-held device can be displaced essentially in a parallel displacement to a receiving base of the base part for locking with the base part. Accordingly, in order to achieve a floor vacuum cleaner, the hand-held device with an integrated motor-suction unit is moved parallel to the receiving base of the base part in the direction of the rigid socket.
- the socket on the bottom part serves not only for the cable plug connection with the hand-held device, but also for the mechanical coupling of the two parts.
- the hand-held device on the base part is preferably displaced parallel to a usual direction of travel of the base part, the receiving base preferably being inclined downward in the usual direction of travel of the base part.
- a slide mount having undercuts is provided on the base part, remote from the socket-side holder.
- the latter can be designed, for example, in the form of a dovetail guide. This provides a two-point coupling, which can only be lifted to remove the hand-held device, for example, by pressing a button in the area of the socket to release a latch there.
- the bottom part has a three-wheel chassis.
- This chassis is preferably formed from two rear wheels and a fully rotatable front roller.
- the two rear wheels are assigned to the area of the rigid socket.
- the bottom part can be set up with respect to one of its narrow sides with an overall essentially elongated plan.
- the footprint thus formed is formed in the end region of the base part which has the rigid socket, that is to say, when operating as a vacuum cleaner, expediently at the end region opposite the accessory connection side of the hand-held device.
- the base part can thus be set up in a space-saving manner when not in use, both when the handheld device is disconnected and when the handheld device is coupled to form a vacuum cleaner.
- two of the wheels are integrated in the footprint.
- These are preferably the aforementioned rear wheels, which are arranged in the corner region between the narrow side on the installation surface side and the longitudinal sides assigned to them.
- the base part is therefore not only placed on the narrow side designed for this purpose, but also on the wheels integrated in the installation surface.
- the two wheels integrated in the installation surface have axially divergent axes. These rear wheels are therefore mounted at an angle in the chassis, so that when the bottom part is set up in the parking situation, the bottom part cannot roll away but rotates over the wheel axis. It proves to be particularly advantageous that the wheels are arranged inclined inwards.
- the rear wheels have a negative camber.
- the bottom part has an essentially triangular plan area.
- the latter is preferably shaped in the form of an elongated triangle, the freely rotatable front roller being arranged on the underside in the tip region of this triangle and the rear wheels which preferably have a negative camber being positioned in the narrow-side end region opposite this tip region.
- the two rear wheels can be covered by wheel fenders formed from the receiving base of the base part, the cantilever arm having the rigid socket growing out of a wheel fender growing out.
- a winder button for automatically winding the electric cable on the cable drum can be formed in the area of the other wheel fender, which is arranged opposite the extension arm.
- the receiving base is shaped like a fillet in a cross section perpendicular to the direction of displacement of the hand-held device on the base part.
- a uniformly rounded configuration of the receiving base transverse to the longitudinal extent of the base part is preferred.
- the cable drum is positioned in a hidden position in a receiving housing-side winder housing and winds up the electrical cable essentially parallel to the plane extension of the receiving base, the free end provided with a commercially available electrical connector emerging from the area of the mounting surface of the base part.
- the end-side plug is received in a recess provided on the installation surface side, so that this plug does not protrude into the installation surface in a disruptive manner when the base part is in the storage position.
- the receiving base has a through opening. The latter serves as a handle for carrying the bottom part in a vertical position, regardless of whether the bottom part is equipped with the handheld device or not.
- the second coupling position already mentioned in the form of a sliding bracket proves to be advantageous, since it tilts the coupled handheld device from the device when the device is carried in a vertical position or when the device is parked on the installation surface Counteracts floor part or from the receiving floor.
- the passage opening of the receiving base can also serve to reach elements arranged on the underside of the handheld device, even when the handheld device is coupled to the base part.
- the hand-held device can have a hinged lid on the underside, which allows a filter or the like to be removed after opening. Such a removal can also take place through the access opening when the handheld device is coupled to the base part.
- the third wheel is arranged at the end of the receiving base in the border of the passage opening.
- This third wheel is the fully rotating front roller already mentioned.
- a vacuum cleaner of the type in question wherein a receptacle is formed on the base part for an additional part, such as an electric carpet brush, in particular for holding the base part in an upright standing state, that the receptacle is in a right-angled projection to the Footprint is offset with respect to a wheel axis to the handheld device.
- This receptacle is used in the parking situation of the vacuum cleaner, in particular in the case of a configuration as a floor vacuum cleaner, as a parking catch for a suction pipe, an electric carpet brush or the like.
- the suction tube or the electric carpet brush has, for example, a hook-like shape, by means of which the additional part can be coupled to the base part in the region of the receptacle.
- the entire device consisting of the base part, hand-held device and connected suction hose, suction pipe and possibly front attachment, can thus be carried by means of the through opening on the receiving floor.
- the base part-side receptacle for holding the additional part is positioned in such a way that, when the device is in the parking position, it is arranged in a right-angled projection to the footprint of the base part, so that the forces introduced into the receptacle via the additional part can be safely derived via the footprint.
- a receptacle is formed in the area of the rigid socket on the installation surface side.
- the latter is preferably designed to be the same as that of the receptacle described above and also serves to hold an additional part, such as, for example, a suction pipe or an electric carpet brush in the operating situation of the device.
- a parking catch is formed, which makes it possible to securely hook the additional part onto the base part if the suction process is briefly interrupted.
- This receptacle is formed in the region of the cantilever arm receiving the rigid socket.

Another vacuum cleaner is, for example, from WO-A-94/15519 known. This essentially consists of from a stationary bottom part and one from the bottom part removable suction device, which after acceptance as Handheld device is used. The motor-suction unit is in integrated in the removable handheld device. The bottom part has one with a spiral cable for voltage connection provided connector, with the removable Handheld device via another live cable the bottom part connector is connected, this via a cable drum arranged in the bottom part, which automatically, for example via a spring formation, a winding the line length not required between Bottom part and handheld device. To use this Vacuum cleaner is the handheld device from the stationary Bottom part removed and then, for example, with a suction pipe and a suction nozzle or the like. At The handset is not used again in the base part inserted, the cable drum winding up the current-carrying line.
In view of the state of the art described above becomes the object of the invention therein seen a vacuum cleaner of the type in question improve its manageability.
Diese Aufgabe ist beim
Gegenstand des Anspruchs 1 gelöst.This task is with
Subject matter of
austritt. In aufgewickeltem Zustand des Elektrokabels
findet der endseitige Stecker Aufnahme in einer
aufstellflächenseitig vorgesehenen Ausnehmung, so daß
dieser Stecker in der Abstellsituation des Bodenteiles
nicht störend in die Aufstellfläche ragt. Weiter wird
vorgeschlagen, daß der Aufnahmeboden eine Durchgriffsöffnung
aufweist.
There is the advantage that the vacuum cleaner formed in this way can be used both as a conventional floor vacuum device and as a fully self-sufficient handheld vacuum cleaner. In the bottom suction mode, the hand-held device containing the motor-suction unit is arranged on the bottom part and preferably locked with it. The power line connection is formed by a cable provided with a conventional plug, which can be wound up on a cable drum arranged in the base part. From this cable drum another line connection goes out for the connection of the coupled hand-held device part. The base part is provided with wheels or rollers, as are also used in known commercial floor suction devices. To use the vacuum cleaner as a handheld vacuum cleaner, the handheld device is completely uncoupled from the base part, ie also with the line connection disconnected. The power supply of the hand-held device can then take place, for example, via a rechargeable battery or the like which is built into the hand-held device and which can be charged via the bottom part in the suction operation. However, an embodiment is preferred in which the handheld device is supplied via a power line to be connected when used as a handheld vacuum cleaner. Furthermore, when used as a handheld vacuum cleaner, the handheld device can be equipped with a handle and an attachment, for example in the form of a suction nozzle. In an advantageous further development of the subject matter of the invention, it is provided that the base part has a rigid socket for the line plug connection with the hand-held device, when the hand-held device is coupled to the base part. This rigid socket interacts with a plug receptacle arranged on the handheld device to form the line plug connection. Such a cable connector is known from the not previously published patent application by the applicant DE-A-196 08 247. In the area of this cable plug-in connection there is preferably also a latching between the hand-held device and the base part. This latching can be canceled in a way that is intentional, for which purpose the socket has a correspondingly designed handle, for example in the form of a pusher part, in the region of the plug connection. The hand-held connector, which interacts with the socket on the bottom part, is used when used as a handheld vacuum cleaner, ie when the hand-held device is uncoupled from the bottom part, for receiving a socket provided with a conventional mains lead and a plug. The bottom part can be designed, for example, in the form of a plate-like chassis, the socket for the line plug connection with the hand-held device being designed in the region of the support base of the bottom part. According to the invention, however, it is proposed that the socket be designed to partially overlap the motor-suction unit. An embodiment is preferred in which the socket is formed on a cantilever arm of the base part. For this purpose, it is proposed that this cantilever arm, which has the socket, projects freely from a receiving floor, essentially vertically upwards, in a gooseneck-like manner, with respect to a plane extension of the base part. The root region of the cantilever arm can also be provided in an end region of the base part, based on the usual direction of travel of the base part. Here it is preferred that the cantilever arm having the socket is formed in a corner region of the aforementioned end region on the base part. The hand-held device is coupled to the base part via the line plug connection in an area of the hand-held device in which a swiveling filter cassette can also be formed. In order to enable this cassette to be opened to replace the inserted filter bag even when the position is coupled to the base part, the cantilever arm must be designed so that it does not engage in the opening path of the cassette. Here the mentioned corner arrangement proves to be advantageous. The design of the cantilever arm is selected so that it partially overlaps the hand-held device, the coupling of the socket part on the bottom part and the hand-held plug receptacle taking place above the openable filter cassette in the region of a cantilevered cantilever part of the hand-held device housing. Furthermore, the design is selected so that the plug connection is made approximately centrally with respect to the width of the base part and the hand-held device, the socket being oriented such that it extends in the longitudinal direction, ie in the direction of the usual direction of travel of the base part. To open the filter cassette of the hand-held device, it is preferably pivoted in such a way that the filter cassette plunges under the freely projecting socket. It is further proposed that the hand-held device can be displaced essentially in a parallel displacement to a receiving base of the base part for locking with the base part. Accordingly, in order to achieve a floor vacuum cleaner, the hand-held device with an integrated motor-suction unit is moved parallel to the receiving base of the base part in the direction of the rigid socket. The socket on the bottom part serves not only for the cable plug connection with the hand-held device, but also for the mechanical coupling of the two parts. The hand-held device on the base part is preferably displaced parallel to a usual direction of travel of the base part, the receiving base preferably being inclined downward in the usual direction of travel of the base part. To hold the handheld device securely on the base part, it is provided that a slide mount having undercuts is provided on the base part, remote from the socket-side holder. The latter can be designed, for example, in the form of a dovetail guide. This provides a two-point coupling, which can only be lifted to remove the hand-held device, for example, by pressing a button in the area of the socket to release a latch there. It is also proposed that the bottom part has a three-wheel chassis. This chassis is preferably formed from two rear wheels and a fully rotatable front roller. The two rear wheels are assigned to the area of the rigid socket. It proves to be particularly advantageous that the bottom part can be set up with respect to one of its narrow sides with an overall essentially elongated plan. The footprint thus formed is formed in the end region of the base part which has the rigid socket, that is to say, when operating as a vacuum cleaner, expediently at the end region opposite the accessory connection side of the hand-held device.
The base part can thus be set up in a space-saving manner when not in use, both when the handheld device is disconnected and when the handheld device is coupled to form a vacuum cleaner. For this purpose, it is further proposed that two of the wheels are integrated in the footprint. These are preferably the aforementioned rear wheels, which are arranged in the corner region between the narrow side on the installation surface side and the longitudinal sides assigned to them. The base part is therefore not only placed on the narrow side designed for this purpose, but also on the wheels integrated in the installation surface. In order to ensure a secure installation of the base part, it is further proposed that the two wheels integrated in the installation surface have axially divergent axes. These rear wheels are therefore mounted at an angle in the chassis, so that when the bottom part is set up in the parking situation, the bottom part cannot roll away but rotates over the wheel axis. It proves to be particularly advantageous that the wheels are arranged inclined inwards. This means that the rear wheels have a negative camber. It is further proposed that the bottom part has an essentially triangular plan area. The latter is preferably shaped in the form of an elongated triangle, the freely rotatable front roller being arranged on the underside in the tip region of this triangle and the rear wheels which preferably have a negative camber being positioned in the narrow-side end region opposite this tip region. The two rear wheels can be covered by wheel fenders formed from the receiving base of the base part, the cantilever arm having the rigid socket growing out of a wheel fender growing out. Furthermore, a winder button for automatically winding the electric cable on the cable drum can be formed in the area of the other wheel fender, which is arranged opposite the extension arm. However, it is also conceivable to arrange this winder button between the two wheel fenders in the area of the narrow-sided installation surface. In an embodiment according to the invention it is provided that the receiving base is shaped like a fillet in a cross section perpendicular to the direction of displacement of the hand-held device on the base part. A uniformly rounded configuration of the receiving base transverse to the longitudinal extent of the base part is preferred. As a result of this configuration, the hand-held device is guided laterally during the insertion, with which the hand-held device aligns itself automatically in the coupling position. In a preferred embodiment of the subject matter of the invention it is provided that the cable drum is arranged with a substantially vertical winding axis. The cable drum is positioned in a hidden position in a receiving housing-side winder housing and winds up the electrical cable essentially parallel to the plane extension of the receiving base, the free end provided with a commercially available electrical connector emerging from the area of the mounting surface of the base part. In the wound-up state of the electrical cable, the end-side plug is received in a recess provided on the installation surface side, so that this plug does not protrude into the installation surface in a disruptive manner when the base part is in the storage position. It is also proposed that the receiving base has a through opening. The latter serves as a handle for carrying the bottom part in a vertical position, regardless of whether the bottom part is equipped with the handheld device or not. With a configuration of the vacuum cleaner as a vacuum cleaner, the second coupling position already mentioned in the form of a sliding bracket proves to be advantageous, since it tilts the coupled handheld device from the device when the device is carried in a vertical position or when the device is parked on the installation surface Counteracts floor part or from the receiving floor. Furthermore, the passage opening of the receiving base can also serve to reach elements arranged on the underside of the handheld device, even when the handheld device is coupled to the base part. E.g. the hand-held device can have a hinged lid on the underside, which allows a filter or the like to be removed after opening. Such a removal can also take place through the access opening when the handheld device is coupled to the base part. It also proves to be advantageous that the third wheel is arranged at the end of the receiving base in the border of the passage opening. This third wheel is the fully rotating front roller already mentioned. It is further proposed in a vacuum cleaner of the type in question, wherein a receptacle is formed on the base part for an additional part, such as an electric carpet brush, in particular for holding the base part in an upright standing state, that the receptacle is in a right-angled projection to the Footprint is offset with respect to a wheel axis to the handheld device. This receptacle is used in the parking situation of the vacuum cleaner, in particular in the case of a configuration as a floor vacuum cleaner, as a parking catch for a suction pipe, an electric carpet brush or the like. For this purpose, the suction tube or the electric carpet brush has, for example, a hook-like shape, by means of which the additional part can be coupled to the base part in the region of the receptacle. The entire device, consisting of the base part, hand-held device and connected suction hose, suction pipe and possibly front attachment, can thus be carried by means of the through opening on the receiving floor. The base part-side receptacle for holding the additional part is positioned in such a way that, when the device is in the parking position, it is arranged in a right-angled projection to the footprint of the base part, so that the forces introduced into the receptacle via the additional part can be safely derived via the footprint. The offset arrangement of the receptacle with respect to a wheel axis in the direction of the coupled hand-held device prevents the entire device from tilting in the parking situation. Finally, it is provided that a receptacle is formed in the area of the rigid socket on the installation surface side. The latter is preferably designed to be the same as that of the receptacle described above and also serves to hold an additional part, such as, for example, a suction pipe or an electric carpet brush in the operating situation of the device. A parking catch is formed, which makes it possible to securely hook the additional part onto the base part if the suction process is briefly interrupted. An embodiment is preferred in which this receptacle is formed in the region of the cantilever arm receiving the rigid socket.

Fig. 1 ein Staubsauger 1, welcher sich im wesentlichen
aus einem Handgerät 2, welches eine nicht dargestellte
Motor-Saug-Einheit beinhaltet, und einem verfahrbaren
Bodenteil 3 zusammensetzt.

Fig. 2 und 3). Hierzu
Auslegers 13 eingesteckt. Diese Steckaufnahme

zur Kopplung mit dem Bodenteil 3.According to the
Der Gerätestiel 10 besitzt an seinem dem Gehäuse 12
abgewandten Endbereich einen Handgriff 14. Der Elektroanschluß
wird hergestellt über eine Anschlußleitung 15,
welche einerends einen üblichen Elektrostecker und
anderenends eine als Kaltgerätestecker ausgebildete
Netzsteckdose 16 aufweist. Letztere ist in eine gerätestielseitige,

Sowohl Gerätestiel 10 als auch Gehäuse 12 weisen jeweils
einen als Potentiometer-/Schaltermodul ausgebildeten
Leistungsschalter 17, 18 auf. Letztere sind als

Das mit einer abschwenkbaren Filterkassette 19 versehene
Handgerät 2 kann auch als Überbodensauger gemäß
Fig. 3 genutzt werden.

Auslegerarm 23 zusammensetzt. The
verlaufende Schmalseite 24.The receiving
Weiter ist der Aufnahmeboden 22 senkrecht zu seiner
Längserstreckung hohlkehlartig, gleichförmig gerundet
ausgeformt.
Furthermore, the receiving
Der Aufnahmeboden 22 besitzt eine Durchgriffsöffnung
25, welche im Grundriß ebenfalls im wesentlichen dreieckförmig
ausgebildet ist, wobei der Spitzenbereich
dieses Dreieckes dem Spitzenbereich 29 des dreieckförmigen
Aufnahmebodengrundrisses zugewandt ist. Die Eckbereiche
der Durchgriffsöffnung 25 sind stark gerundet. The receiving
24 geschlossen ausgebildet. In diesem geschlossenen

Aufnahmebodens 22 in dessen spitzen Endbereich 29 angeordneten,
voll drehbaren Frontrolle 31. Das Frontrad

positioniert ist.As already mentioned, the
ca. 20° bis 30°.The two preferably covered

Heckrad 30 dient. As already mentioned, is to form the

erwähnten Kabeltrommel 28.The
Diese Kabeltrommel 28 ist als bekannter Kabelspuler

45 des dem Auslegerarm 23 gegenüberliegenden Heckrades
30 als Spulertaste auszubilden. The
Der die Steckaufnahme 11 aufweisende Ausleger 13 des
Handgerätes 3 ist entsprechend dem frei auskragenden
Ende 34 im Bereich der Steckdose 35 des Bodenteiles 3
rohrartig ausgebildet.

The
Die Hohlprofilwandung der Steckaufnahme 11 wird im Zuge
des Einschiebens in den Ringraum 39 zwischen Steckerführung

bzw. dessen Schiebe-Betätigungshandhabe in eine Maximalstellung
bewirkt.
