452,211. Suction - cleaner handles. REYROLLE & CO., Ltd., A., Hebburn-on- Tyne, and FUKE, F. C., Fairhaven, The Crescent, Longbenton, Northmnberland. Feb. 18, 1935, No. 5135. [Class 61 (i)] [See also Group XXVIII] In a suction cleaner, a handle bail K, Fig. 7, is pivoted to the cleaner carriage at K<1> and carries a notched quadrant K<2> co-operating with a pin or roller L carried by a spring-pressed pivoted arm L<1>. In the upright storage position of the handle the pin engages a notch K<3>; downward movement of the handle is limited by a stop K<4> engaging the pin, which can be moved out of action by depressing the knob L<4> on the arm L<1>. According to the Provisional Specification the pin or roller is carried by the bail and the notch and stop by the pivoted arm. The upper end of the dust bag is supported by the handle which is provided with hooks around which the flex is wound ; one of these hooks is rotatable through 180‹ so that the coil of flex can be removed without unwinding it.
