Abstract

The spray appliance (40) comprises a storage container (46) whose contents are supplied by a spray nozzle (41). The spray appliance discharges particles forming a space between the stacked sheets (1). The discharge is onto one of the printer cylinders or onto the sheets. The contents of the storage container is an aqueous suspension conveyed to the spray nozzle by a pump (47). Two parallel rollers (42,43) form a gap by which an atomising cone emerging from the nozzle is restricted. The two rollers have a cleaner (44,45) by which residues from the suspension are removed from the rollers and returned to the container.

Description

The invention relates to a printing machine for printing sheets, in particular with an inking unit, as well as with printing unit cylinders in the form a plate cylinder, a blanket cylinder and an impression cylinder, with one a storage container and one operationally with its contents supplyable spray nozzle comprising spray device for the discharge of Spacer particles that form a mutual distance are provided between sheets in a stacked state thereof, the discharge on one of the printing unit cylinders or on the sheets he follows.

Such a printing press is, for example, from the publication DE 43 41 566 A1 known. In the spray device disclosed herein, the Storage container of the same filled with the spacer particles. These will operationally via a nozzle to either on a bend or on blown out a target area provided where the Spacer particles then form a release agent layer.

In one of the variants disclosed, in addition to one Spacer particles on a target blowing nozzle another nozzle provided the same target area with a humidifier sprayed. It is with regard to the spacer particles and Humidifier made such a selection of materials that the Biologically degrades the release agent layer applied to the target surface.

The latter is not important for the present invention, but it is by dispensing a humidifier on the with the Target area sprayed with spacer particles is found to be desirable Side effect is a reduction in the number of strolling Spacer particles.

From JP Hei 5-85074 A it is known to have a printed sheet with an aqueous emulsion of wax and an alcohol-fatty acid ester to cover. This emulsion becomes even and flat on the whole Surface of the previously printed sheet applied. The disadvantage here is that especially in the case of large-format printed sheets, considerable amounts of mentioned emulsion are needed and that when stacking such flat printed sheets no air cushions between the individual Can form arches. This complicates in particular an edge-precise Stacking.

The invention has for its object the aforementioned To design printing press so that when removing spacer particles dust formation is avoided by means of a spray device.

To solve this problem, the printing press is equipped with a storage container, the content of which is a spray liquid in the form of a Aqueous suspension containing spacer particles, which the Spray nozzle can be fed by means of a pump, with two parallel to each other arranged, forming a gap, by means of which one of the Spray nozzle emerging spray cone can be limited and with one of the two Cleaning device associated with rollers, by means of which on the rollers adhering residues of the suspension removable from the rollers and in the Storage containers are recyclable. This solution also has over the known from the document JP Hei 5-85074 A known the Advantage of a selective distribution of spacer particles on the sheet, so that when they are stacked, air cushions form between the sheets can.

Furthermore, it is preferred to provide that the spray nozzle is pivotable, by applying the spray liquid by swiveling the spray nozzle can be interrupted.

In a further embodiment it is provided that the rollers are parallel to one another are slidably arranged around the gap between them to be able to close and thus the application of the spray liquid interrupt.

The invention is hereinafter with reference to the accompanying Drawings explained in more detail.

A working according to the functional principle shown in Fig. 1 Spraying device 40 or 40 'is used in a printing press for Printing sheets, in particular according to Figures 3a and 3b is formed, which schematically in each case that part of the printing press reproduce in which a delivery unit 21 is connected to a printing unit 25. The printing unit 25 comprises a printing cylinder 12, a blanket cylinder 15 and a plate cylinder 16 around which an inking unit 18 and in the case of a Operation of the printing press in the wet offset process a dampening unit 17th are grouped. A respective sheet 1 is the printing cylinder 12 by means of a Sheet guide cylinder 19 supplied.

For the arrangement of the spray device 40 or 40 'in the printing press there are a number of options. Two of these are shown in FIGS. 3a and 3b shown. In Fig. 3a an arrangement is provided in which the discharged spray liquid directly onto the freshly printed side of the of the respective bow. 3b is an Spray device 40 ′ according to the functional principle of the spray device 40 1 arranged so that the spray liquid discharged onto a Area of the pressure cylinder 12 strikes, which in the course of the rotation the same passed to this on the part of the sheet guiding cylinder 19 Place sheet 1. Here, the spray liquid is applied to the Sheet 1 indirectly via the printing cylinder 12 on the freshly printed side opposite side of sheet 1.

As shown schematically in Fig. 1, the spray device 40 in the individual nozzles 41, on the one hand compressed air via a corresponding Compressed air line 48 and on the other hand the spray liquid via a Spray line 49 are supplied. The spray liquid is an aqueous one Suspension, the spacer particles and in a further embodiment an in Contains water-soluble adhesive, the spacer particles further are preferably formed by means of a wax. The over the Spray line 49 is supplied from a spray liquid Sucked off reservoir 46 by means of a pump 47. To limit one a spray cone formed at a respective nozzle 41 is preferably off two rollers 42 and 43 formed limiting device are provided. The The two rollers 42 and 43 are arranged in such a way that there is a gap between them, through which part of the spray cone passes can. To prevent the outer surfaces of the rollers 42 and 43 deposited residues of the spray liquid clog the gap, the two rollers 42 and 43 rotated and doctored. The direction of rotation chosen so that the two lateral surfaces in the area of the gap turn counter to the spray direction.

A cleaning device for the rollers 42 and 43, which is shown in FIG arrangement shown consists of doctor blades 44 and 45, cleans the rollers 42 and 43 of adhering residues of the spray liquid and leads this into the Reservoir 46 back.

The amount of the passing through the gap between the two rollers 42 and 43 Spray liquid can in addition to setting spray parameters, such as Amount of compressed air or amount of spray liquid supplied to the spray nozzles, can be controlled by the width of the said gap. For this are the Rollers 42 and 43 are arranged to be adjustable relative to one another. In addition to a parallel Shift of the two rollers 42 and 43 to each other, which is a constant Width of the gap over the entire length of the rollers 42 and 43 results also conceivable by a corresponding displacement of one of the rollers 42 and 43 a different gap width across the press width adjust. To switch off or interrupt the There is spray cone in addition to switching off the pump 47 or the compressed air 48 the possibility shown in FIG. 2a to close the spray nozzles swing that spray cones emitted by them do not onto the gap to meet. However, it is expediently ensured that the Spray liquid gets into the reservoir 46. In the present example this is achieved in that the spray nozzles 41 within the Storage container 46 are located and after pivoting, for example a side wall of the same are directed. Another option is there in closing the gap formed by the two rollers 42 and 43, by moving them towards each other, as schematically shown in Figure 2b is shown.

By appropriately interrupting the spray cone is particularly achievable that, for example, spraying gripper devices is prevented by means of which the sheets 1 are transported.
