  • the cam surfaces 18 provided on the outer sidewalls of the engagement arms 10 engage the inwardly sloping cam surfaces 78 of side wall 74 while sloped recesses 19 on the inner sidewalls of the engagement arms permit the engagement arms to move inwardly when moved sufficiently forward to align with the abutments 77. Therefore, when engagement arms 10 are advanced forwardly relative to cover 70 to a point where cam surfaces 78 engage cam surfaces 18 of attachment arms 10, the attachments arms pivot inwardly reducing the space between opposing pins 12 to facilitate loading/unloading of a razor head.
  • the advancement of the engagement arms 10 is selectively performed by simply advancing an actuator button (shown in phantom in Fig. 1) provided on the top of the razor.
  • the actuator button securely engages a recess 51 of actuator 50 which, in turn, engages the cross beam 90 which, in turn, engages the engagement arms 10.
  • a pin 55 of actuator 50 passes through a torsion spring 65 and into a pivot recess 91 in cross beam 90.
  • the bottom of cross beam 90 is provided with a pair of laterally spaced pins 93 which are received within elongated pivoting recesses 13 of the engagement arms 10.
  • actuator 50 will cause the advancement of cross beam 90 and the advancement of the engagement arms 10 to a point where they will be moved together by cam surfaces 78.
  • the engagement arms 10 are returned to the retracted, spread-apart position by the cooperation of two biasing members in this illustrated embodiment.
  • Coil spring 60 positioned between plunger 30 and actuator 50 urges the actuator 50 rearwardly.
  • torsion spring 65 which is positioned over actuator pin 55 and engages the rearward ends of sidewall 74 supplies additional rearwardly directed biasing force on actuator 50 in order to return the engagement arms to the "at rest" position.
  • torsion spring 65 As shown in Figs. 1, 2A and 2B the linear segments of torsion spring 65 are also positioned in contact with or very close proximity to pins 93 of cross beam 90. Therefore, when one of the engagement arms is urged rearwardly during shaving causing the cross beam 90 to pivot about pivot recess 91, the pin 93 on that side of the cross beam 90 which moves rearwardly will engage the corresponding linear segment of torsion spring 65. When the shaving force is removed, torsion spring 65 will return cross beam 90 to its equilibrium position, thereby restoring engagement arms 10 to their "at rest" position.
  • Figure 5 illustrates the razor with both engagement arms positioned forwardly, having been advanced by advancing the actuator button thereby drawing the engagement portions of the engagement arms inwardly for loading or unloading a razor head

Claims (14)

  1. Rasoir comportant une base (80) et préparé pour supporter une tête de rasoir connectée de manière pivotante audit rasoir :
    au moins deux bras de mise en prise (10a, 10b) supportés de manière mobile par rapport à ladite base (80), chacun desdits bras de mise en prise (10a, 10b) comportant une partie de mise en prise (12) pour supporter de manière pivotante ladite tête de rasoir sur le rasoir,
       caractérisé en ce que :
    la tête de rasoir est, en utilisation, mobile autour d'un axe imaginaire normal à l'axe défini par la partie de mise en prise (12) de chaque bras de mise en prise, et également normal à un axe central longitudinal L du rasoir,
    le rasoir comporte de plus une poutre transversale (90) connectée à chacun desdits bras de mise en prise (10a, 10b), et supportée pour un déplacement de pivotement et de coulissement par rapport à ladite base (80), de sorte que les bras de mise en prise sont supportés de manière coulissante par rapport à la base pour un déplacement le long de trajets sensiblement parallèles.
  2. Rasoir selon la revendication 1, dans lequel lesdits bras de mise en prise (10a, 10b) se déplacent le long de trajets sensiblement parallèles en réponse à des forces de rasage exercées sur une tête de rasoir.
  3. Rasoir selon la revendication 1 ou 2, dans lequel lesdits bras de mise en prise (10a, 10b) restent dans un plan unique lors d'un déplacement en réponse à des forces de rasage exercées sur une tête de rasoir.
  4. Rasoir selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel lesdits bras de mise en prise (10a, 10b) sont maintenus dans une première position en l'absence de forces extérieures, et ledit rasoir comporte de plus des moyens (65) pour rétablir lesdits bras de mise en prise dans ladite première position après que des forces de rasage extérieures aient été supprimées.
  5. Rasoir selon la revendication 4, dans lequel lesdits moyens de rétablissement comprennent un ressort de torsion (65).
  6. Rasoir selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comportant de plus :
    un piston mobile sollicité vers l'avant (30) pour rétablir une tête de rasoir à partir d'une position pivotée vers une position non-pivotée.
  7. Rasoir selon la revendication 6, comportant de plus des moyens pour solliciter ledit piston vers l'avant.
  8. Rasoir selon la revendication 7, comportant de plus un actionneur (50) connecté auxdits bras de mise en prise pour déplacer lesdites parties de mise en prise plus proches l'une de l'autre.
  9. Rasoir selon la revendication 7, dans lequel lesdits moyens de sollicitation et lesdits moyens de rétablissement (65) rappellent ledit actionneur vers l'arrière.
  10. Rasoir selon la revendication 9, dans lequel les moyens de sollicitation comprennent un ressort hélicoïdal (60).
  11. Rasoir selon la revendication 10, dans lequel ledit premier axe est sensiblement parallèle audit deuxième axe.
  12. Rasoir selon la revendication 10, dans lequel le troisième axe est sensiblement parallèle à au moins un axe parmi ledit premier axe et ledit deuxième axe.
  13. Rasoir selon la revendication 12, dans lequel lesdits bras de mise en prise restent dans un plan unique lors d'un déplacement en réponse à des forces de rasage exercées sur une tête de rasoir.
  14. Rasoir selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel :
    lesdits bras de mise en prise (10a, 10b) sont mobiles sensiblement parallèlement à un premier axe, et sont sollicités par des moyens de sollicitation,
    ledit piston (30) est mobile le long d'un second axe qui est sensiblement parallèle audit premier axe, et est sollicité par des moyens de retour, et
    ledit actionneur (50) est mobile le long d'un troisième axe, et sollicité par lesdits moyens de sollicitation et lesdits moyens de retour.
