Abstract

The ball collector consists of a vertical cylinder (1) of a moulded synthetic material, long enough to hold a number of balls (11), an open lower end with a shutter (4) which allows balls to pass in but not out, and a side aperture (5) with flexible edges through which the balls can be removed. The upper end of the cylinder is equipped with a handle which, in a variant, can be of adjustable length. The balls are picked up by pressing the open lower end of the cylinder down on top of them, with each ball pushing up those above it. When required for use the balls are taken one at a time through the side aperture, or they can be tipped out by inverting the cylinder.
