Description
The present invention relates to a golf accessory that retrieves golf balls dropped in a water hazard, or in an obstacle where the ball can not be naturally recovered by hand. It is just as well intended, depending on the choice of versions, to players to recover a lost ball during the course of the game than to people performing a routine collection of bullets, such as a periodic collection of bullets fallen in the bottom of a water hazard.
It is known that the recovery of the balls lost by a player at the edge of a water hazard or more generally in a natural obstacle, is made today by accessories most often called "dip nets", having the shape of cone overturned or U, which are fixed at the end of a handle, telescopic or not, which have a length substantially equal to that of a club and which comprise a receptacle whose conformation only allows to recover a single ball to the times. In order to prevent the recovered ball from being able to escape itself during the ascent of said accessory, some models are equipped with an oscillating latch located across the opening which allows, by folding back after the ball has penetrated into the receptacle, to prevent it from coming out, only a manual recovery of the bullet allowing the extraction of the latter.
However, during attempts to recover a ball that has been misplaced during the course of the game in an obstacle, these devices do not probe the surface on which the ball rests, this being particularly valid for a water hazard. Therefore, it is imperative, before each recovery operation, to have perfectly located the ball to hope to penetrate into the receptacle of one of said devices, however, the opacity of most water obstacles along a route of golf make this operation of localization and therefore of recovery particularly difficult.
The invention therefore more particularly aims to eliminate these disadvantages by providing a maneuverable device, light and space-saving constituting a golf accessory, this device which includes a collector receptacle makes it easy to recover golf balls fallen into obstacles where they can not be naturally recovered by hand, by conducting a raking movement.
For this purpose, it proposes a golf accessory with the features of
Advantageously, these fastening means may cooperate with a joint allowing said structure to fold parallel to the handle, this joint being able to be assisted by spring.
The perforated structure of the golf accessory comprises at least one orifice whose surface is smaller than the projected surface of a golf ball on the plane where the orifice is disposed so that it can be housed in the body. orifice and be held there by gravity during the ascent of the golf accessory.
Thus, the golf balls placed in the axis of the raking movement can be introduced into the receptacle of the golf accessory and be housed in one of the orifices of said structure, therefore, the possibility of proceeding to the search golf balls by systematic raking of the surface on which they fell, facilitates this research and optimizes its chances of success.
- des moyens de fixation du type susdit d'un manche situés au niveau de l'une des extrémités de la bordure longitudinale de telle manière que ce manche s'étende perpendiculairement à ladite bordure;
- fixing means of the aforesaid type of a handle located at one of the ends of the longitudinal edge so that the handle extends perpendicular to said edge;
- articulation means arranged between the two structures so as to articulate the two structures and thus to fold them against each other.
Advantageously, each structure of the golf accessory according to the invention may be constituted by a preferably rectangular frame, the maximum distance separating the two longitudinal edges of this frame being then slightly less than the diameter of a golf ball so that it can be housed in the space defined by this frame while being maintained by gravity during the ascent of the golf accessory.
Advantageously, said handle may be constituted by a golf club whose head is engaged in retention means integral with one of the structures, these retention means constituting said fixing means.

- Golf accessory according to claim 1, characterised in that the articulation means (12) consist of at least one hinge (12) aligned substantially parallel to the aforementioned edges (4, 4') and able to be provided with a spring so as to facilitate the moving together of said structures (2, 2').
- Golf accessory according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the fixing means (7) comprise an articulation (9) enabling said structure (2) to fold parallel to the handle (8).
- Golf accessory according to claim 3, characterised in that the articulation (9) is spring-assisted.
- Golf accessory according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the structure (2) of the golf accessory (1) comprises a substantially tubular element (10) fixed at one of the ends of said edges (4, 4') so that it extends substantially perpendicular to said edges (4, 4'), this element having a diameter substantially equal to that of the handle (8).
- Golf accessory according to claim 5, characterised in that the bottom end of the handle (8) and the top end of the tubular element (10) are bevelled at the same angle â and are connected together by a fixing means (7) that may be a screw, and the handle (8) being able to adopt two positions:- a deployed position in which the bottom end of the handle (8) and the top end of the tubular element (10) are placed in the same axis, which is substantially perpendicular to that of said edges (4, 4');- a folded position obtained by imparting a rotation movement to the handle (8) or to the tubular element (10).
- Golf accessory according to claim 6, characterised in that the angle â is equal to 45°, which makes it possible to place the handle (8) in the folded position perpendicular to the tubular element.
- Golf accessory according to claim 5, characterised in that the bottom end of the handle (8) is introduced into the top end of a connecting piece (14) that comprises, on one of its lateral faces, a recess (15) into which one end of one of said structures (2, 2') is introduced so that this structure (2, 2') is perpendicular to the handle (8), and in that the connecting piece (14) and the structure (2, 2') are connected by means of a semi-rigid link (16), one of the ends of which is connected to the structure (2, 2') whereas the other end engages in a slot (17) formed on said lateral face of the connecting piece (14), so that, when the structure (2, 2) is folded towards the connecting piece (14), the link is introduced through said slot (17) into the body of the connecting piece (14), thus making it possible to place said structure (2, 2') parallel to the handle (8).
- Golf accessory according to claim 5, characterised in that it comprises a connecting piece (15) comprising a top end in which the bottom end of the handle (8) is introduced slidably, and a bottom end into which the top end of the tubular element (10) is introduced, also slidably, so that the structure (2, 2') is perpendicular to the handle (8), and in that a junction piece joins the end of this structure (2, 2') to the connecting piece (15) so that a traction exerted on the handle or on the structure (2, 2') causes a pivoting of the latter, thus making it possible to place said structure (2, 2') parallel to the handle (8).
- Golf accessory according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the structure (2) comprises pairs of orifices (6), each of these orifices (6) having a surface area less than the projected surface area of a golf ball on the plane where said orifice (6) is placed; the pairs of orifices (6) are arranged at regular intervals so that the orifices (6) constituting a pair are placed on either side of the median axis of said structure (2), or on either side of the longitudinal rim (11) on an axis substantially perpendicular to that of said edges (4, 4') so that two opposite ends of a golf ball that has entered said receptacle (3) can be inserted in the orifices (6) constituting the same pair, thus making it possible to hold this ball by gravity inside the receptacle (3) when the golf accessory (1) is raised.
- Golf accessory according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that each structure (2) consists of a frame, the maximum distance separating the two longitudinal edges of this frame being slightly less than the diameter of a golf ball so that the latter can be housed in the space delimited by this frame while being held therein by gravity when the golf accessory (1) is raised.
- Golf accessory according to claim 11, characterised in that the frame is rectangular.
- Golf accessory according to one of claims 11 and 12, characterised in that the frame is produced from metal wire.
- Golf accessory according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the handle (8) is telescopic and/or foldable.
- Golf accessory according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the head (22) of the handle (8) engages in holding means (20) secured to one of the structures (2, 2'), these holding means constituting said fixing means (7).
- Golf accessory according to claim 15, characterised in that the structure (2) comprises an orifice (23) constituting the holding means (20) and conformed so that the head (22) of the handle (8) can engage partially therein so as to remain in engagement therein.
- Golf accessory according to claim 16, characterised in that the orifice (23) comprises a narrowing (24) emerging at one end of the structure (2), said narrowing (24) having a width slightly greater than that of the handle to enable the head (22) of the handle (8) to be extracted easily from said orifice (23) by imparting to the handle, the head (23) of which has been partially introduced into the orifice (23), a thrust enabling the bottom end of the handle (8) to be opposite said narrowing (24), followed by a lateral traction allowing the sliding of this end in the narrowing (24) and extraction thereof.
- Golf accessory according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the handle (8) is formed by a golf club the head (22) of which comes to be engaged in holding means (20) secured to one of the structures (2, 2').
- Golf accessory according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that at least one net is arranged on the external surface of one of said structures (2, 2') so that it is placed opposite said orifices (6).
- Golf accessory according to one of claims 2 to 19, characterised in that it constitutes a storage device, the two structures (2, 2') being folded against each other by means of the articulation means (12), and in this way the structures (2, 2') exert a pressure on the golf balls, thus holding them in the receptacle (3).
- Golf accessory according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that it consists of materials having a low density and being non-oxidisable.
