The devices have two leno reel spools, from which the leno threads are pulled off to form the edge on the fabric.
Except that the devices are rotatably driven synchronously with the weaving machine, or preferably combined with the loom drive, concrete features about their drive and control are not disclosed.
In order to maintain the thread tension at a change of subject, the devices are equipped with clamping means, eg with tension springs.
The type of drive the Edge forming device is when the device is a leno or a for Turner disc equivalent means is not disclosed.
Finally, US Pat. No. 2,399,880 discloses an apparatus for forming a leno selvage on tissue to be produced on weaving machines. The device consists of a rotationally driven leno disk whose drive is derived from the weaving machine drive.
How the leno threads are kept curious when changing the leno compartment is not disclosed. The leno reel spools are equipped only with a braking means to maintain the tension of the leno thread on the way from the leno spool to the leno wheel.
All the aforementioned devices for forming a fabric edge is in common that the fabric edge is not formed by leno threads leading means is reversibly driven in their direction of rotation.
vom eigentlichen Geweberand entfernt liegt.
Eine solche Dreherkante macht anwendungstechnisch keinen Sinn.A leno device referred to in the preamble of
In a first arrangement version of the leno selvedge device, the axis of rotation of the rotor is arranged parallel to the warp threads and outside the heddle shafts. Due to the space occupied by the guide element for rotation in addition to the outer warp a leno edge is generated, which is located at a distance from the actual fabric edge.
Such a leno selvedge makes no sense in terms of application technology.
Around the leno selvedge, in terms of application, makes sense directly next to the outer one Warp thread of a fabric is in a second arrangement version of the Turning device, the axis of rotation of the rotor at an angle of preferably 45 ° arranged to the warp threads and in connection therewith a deflection roller for the Leno threads required.
The patent does not disclose whether this is a rotationally mounted or is a rotatably mounted or a rotationally driven pulley. In this respect, it is also not revealed how a by the rotation of the Guide element of the leno selector device accumulating congestion trimmed leno threads is avoided on the pulley, as further in this Context is avoided that disrupted the leno thread shedding and how further leno thread breaks based on threading be avoided.
Experiments conducted by the applicant of Dreherkantenvorrichtungen with rotating thread guide element and with a deflecting leadership of the leno threads have shown that in a rotatably mounted pulley and using a low-stretch, tear-resistant leno thread of quality Nm200 / 1, a leno thread tray because of the cabling on the Deflection shaft is not synchronous to the shed and the weft insertion builds up and consequently the weft thread is tied either incorrectly or not at the fabric edge.
If the deflection roller as such, for example, mounted rotatably, unintentional reverse rotation of the role, caused by machine vibrations, can not be excluded.
Even in such a case, the leno thread tray opening is blocked and therefore the weft insertion as well as the formation of the leno selvedge are disturbed.
betreffenden zugspannungslosen Dreherfaden kollidiert. In another disclosed in the above-mentioned DE 195 48 955 C1 leno device is the axis of rotation of the rotating body, which is designed as a hollow shaft, aligned at right angles to the warp threads. Here, at least two guide elements are spaced from each other on the hollow shaft.
Disadvantage here is that due to the frequent leno thread deflections on the way from the coils to the fabric a tension compensation in the leno threads at each subject change does not occur and therefore no correct technical training is given.
This disadvantage means that the weft insertion can not be done correctly, for example on an air jet loom, because the weft thread collides with the respective tensionless leno thread.
A functional solution can be that if, for example, the leno threads are in the tray change, a clamping force is applied to the leno threads.
The aforesaid adverse effects inherent in the last-mentioned device equally occur in the aforesaid leno device, the axis of rotation of which is at an angle of approximately 45 ° to the warp yarns.
According to the invention, the objects are characterized by the technical features of
in Wirkverbindung steht.Thereafter, according to
If the body is forcibly driven by an electric motor drive, which is controlled by the machine control system in synchronism with the shed formation, it is advantageous to preclude a cabling of the leno threads on the deflection body.
Thus, a leno thread shed formation is achieved synchronous to the shed formation, ensures a correct entry of the weft and secured a Randabbindung the weft threads through the leno threads.
Instead of an electromotive drive, e.g. a pneumatic drive in Be considered.
With regard to the surface design of the deflection body has proved to be advantageous if this is formed profiled. It is advantageous if the body is designed as a polygonal cross-section and has a surface which, for example, has a high frictional resistance.
The surface can be gummed, for example. But even a smooth surface in conjunction with the polygonal cross-section has proven to be advantageous in cooperation with the leno threads.
According to

In the

The operation of the
Optionally, by a corresponding phase offset in the synchronization between the rotational movement of the rotor and the heald movement and a staggered setting of the weft threads can be achieved. That is, such a device operates independently of the shaft as opposed to leno edging devices which are arranged in the heald frames and moved with them.
rotationssymmetrischer Körper 23 vorgesehen.FIG. 2 shows a

In the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2, a leno thread tensioning device is placed between the
This ensures that the leno threads are streamlined when changing subjects and subsequently a correct Dreherfachbildung is achieved.
As a result, erroneous weft entries, faulty weft thread bindings and possibly leno thread and weft yarn breaks are avoided.
This leads to the reduction of machine shutdowns, the reduction of machine downtime and consequently the productivity of the loom.
The leno

For deflecting the
