Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for recycling and recycling of heavy metal organic macromolecular Products such as plastics, especially those that contain heavy metals Contain pigments, additives, stabilizers, fillers, etc., one Separation into a heavy metal fraction and an organic fraction takes place.
- the plastics to be disposed of in the Switzerland burned in a waste incineration plant and get there the heavy metals in the slag or in the filter dust, i.e. it finds one undesirable dilution instead and volatile heavy metals such as cadmium and zinc, are washed out or reach the flue gas scrubber in the air. It is also possible that plastics are still with the garbage today to be deposited. What the long-term behavior of deposited plastics is little clarified yet. In Switzerland in particular, landfilling is expected in the near future be prohibited.
- the present invention is therefore the subject of the claim described method.
- red Plastics is one of the most important problems to be solved.
- a typical representatives of the plastics mentioned above are red Bottle crates that one day require disposal. Plastic can not be melted arbitrarily and processed again to new boxes as the strength of old melted several times Plastic no longer meets the requirements.
- the plastic 3 to be recycled is placed in the melting vessel 1 given that is provided with heat exchangers 2.
- the plastic 3 is here in Batch process melted, the temperature being at least 200 ° C is raised.
- the melted plastic is passed through a heater 4 heated or heat-insulated line 5 to the reaction vessel 7 headed.
- the line 5 has at least one valve 6 through which can interrupt the plastic supply.
- the melt is heated to 8 by the heating elements 8
- Decomposition temperature 400-500 ° C heated, causing thermal decomposition takes place.
- the volatile decomposition products pass through the line 10 off and are condensed in the cooler 11.
- the plastic can achieve a breakdown of the molecular chains Catalyst are added. The same goal is achieved by blowing through of nitrogen with a low oxygen content, so that a controlled Oxidation combined with chain scission takes place.
- the cooler 11 where the condensation of the decomposition products of the Plastic takes place, can be used for the absorption of volatile metals, such as Cd or in special cases mercury, with activated carbon granules in pure form or coated (J or Ag). There are other absorption or Reagent possible (e.g. for amalgam formation).
- the condensate collected. It’s a mixture of hydrocarbons, the composition of which has not yet been determined. Of the Heavy metal content in this condensate is below the content of the corresponding one Metals in hard coal so that the condensate as Fuel substitute for coal can be used.
- the condensate is in weight approx. 80% of the decomposed plastic, the calorific value is more than 40 MJ / Kg.
- the non-condensable gas which is about 5 -10 Percent weight, is through line 17 into the reactor 18th transferred to where it is still being cleaned. Then the resulting gaseous product can be thermally recycled.
- the line 10 is through the line 13 provided with a valve 14 and with the melting vessels 1 connected so that a return of the products is possible in the event of a malfunction.
- the heavy metal compounds sediment in the reaction vessel 7 and settle on floor 19.
- the sedimented heavy metal compound 9 is replaced by a Valve 21 provided line 20 together with molten plastic passed into the extraction vessel 22 provided with the heat exchangers 23 and mixed with condensate 16 from the vessel 15 there.
- the melted one Plastic dissolves relatively easily in the condensate and a suspension is formed 25 of heavy metal compound and condensate.
- the viscosity of this Suspension 25 can vary within a wide range due to the amount of condensate become.
- the extraction vessel 22 is equipped with an agitator 24 equipped.
- the suspension 25 is then provided with a valve 27 Line 26 led into the separator 28 where the heavy metal compound from the condensate by filtration through the filter 29, centrifugation or other separation methods is separated. It must be done in this way that the heavy metal content of the filtrate does not meet the permitted limit values exceeds.
- the filtrate is then through the valve 31 provided Line 30 passed into a reserve container 32 for further use.
- the reserve tank 32 is through the line 33 with the condensate tank 15 connected so that the condensate 16 is controlled by the valves 34, can be transferred directly to the reservoir 32 as required.
- the Filter residue consisting of a heavy metal compound, can now be disposed of will.
- the filtrate is a safe, storable fuel that is suitable for Heating purposes and possibly also for motor purposes.
