Description

The invention relates to a flat knitting machine according to the preamble of claim 1.

Flat knitting machines with sinkers are for example from the DE-PS 36 09 539, DE-PS 39 35 763 and DE-OS 41 28 016 already known to the applicant. The boards of these flat knitting machines hold the old stitches hanging in the needles during the expulsion movement of the needles by two opposite boards of the two needle beds in the closed position next to the needle the comb gap spanning bridge. For this purpose, the boards have projections on those bridges in the closed position of the circuit boards Form over the comb gap. When the needles come out, they come Mesh in contact with the contact area of these projections. It is only then that the old meshes can be held back safely given when the two projections abut each other.

EP 0 578 458 A is a flat knitting machine known with boards from an open position by spring force to the comb gap and by means of a Lock curve can be moved back again. The closed position is undefined and depends on the stitch length.

In the flat knitting machine according to EP 0 567 282 A the boards by friction with the associated needle adjusted between an opening and a closed position.

The present invention is based on the object Form sinkers in such a way that, depending on the type of yarn and knitted fabric are optimally and defined adjustable.

The task is done with a flat knitting machine with the features of claim 1 solved. The enclosed mesh leg is not clamped, but has only one possibility of movement downward. A mutual touch of the hook-shaped projections of the two boards in their closed position is not necessary here, but can also be provided become. The boards are between an open position and a standard closed position adjustable. In this Standard closed position, the stitches are reliably held back, when the needle is driven forward. ever Depending on the type of yarn and knitted fabric, the boards are also available Limitation of the mesh storage space from the standard closed position with its hook-shaped projections Comb gap of the machine until an end position is reached movable into it, which makes the new stitch formation process even more becomes safer. After the needles have been driven out into their end position the boards will return to the standard closed position brought, causing the tension on the old stitches diminished, and the knitted fabric is still Mesh storage space is kept. Reaching the standard closed position from the open position by a rotational movement and reaching the end position by a Superimposition of a translation and a rotary movement can be achieved, the hook-shaped projections of the boards make an almost vertical movement. To carry out the adjustment in the different positions can Boards have at least one slot with which they are attached a pivot axis of the needle beds rotatable and displaceable are stored. Two elongated holes are preferably provided, with which the boards on different swivel axes are stored. In a first preferred embodiment can stare the boards with Interlocking stitch patterns of the needle beds. In another The breast area of the sinkers can be configured as stitch patterns be trained.

  • The method according to the invention for producing a knitted fabric on a flat knitting machine according to the invention is characterized by the steps:
  • a) in the rest position of the needles, closing the sinkers, which thereby enclose the stitches hanging in the needles in the thigh region from above, and, if appropriate, narrowing the mesh storage space by moving the sinkers in the direction of their end position (S2),
  • b) expelling the needles to their end position while the sinkers remain closed,
  • c) then, if necessary, releasing the mesh space limitation by moving the boards into their standard closed position,
  • d) shortly before the retraction movement of the needles and the insertion of the thread, pivoting of the sinkers into their open position,
  • e) then closing the sinkers shortly before the needles are driven from the depth of cut to comb level,
  • f) depending on the type of knitted fabric, then opening the boards or holding them in the closed position.
The following are the essential features of three exemplary embodiments a flat knitting machine according to the invention described in more detail with reference to the drawing.

1 shows a lock channel 10 for controlling the needles 11 and 12 of the front needle bed V and the rear needle bed H (Fig. 2), formed by the lock parts, not shown becomes. In addition, fixed lock parts 14, 15 and hatched movable lock parts 16 for control shown by boards 17, 18. Limit these lock parts another channel 20 for the sinkers 17, 18. The knitting direction is indicated by the arrow 19. Fig. 1 shows that Knitting lock for knitting stitches. The resting position of the needles in comb match is designated KG, while NV1 indicates the needle advance for stitch formation. The largest possible Needle output position when knitting is designated R-R. KT is the depth of the crop from which the needles are drawn second drive NV2 be brought back to Kammgleiche KG. The exact position of the needles 11, 12 and the sinkers 17, 18 of the front and rear needle bed V, H during the stitch formation process is in the sectional views of Figures 2 to 8 explained.

Die Nadeln 11 und 12 befinden sich in der in Fig. 2 dargestellten Position auf Kammgleiche.2 shows, the boards 17 and 18 with an elongated hole 21 and 22 and with this on pivot axes 23 and 24 of the two needle beds V, H stored. In Fig. 2 are the boards 17 and 18 in the fully open position S0 shown. The boards 17 and 18 each have hook-shaped Projections 25 and 26, the tips of which is shown Version of boards 17 and 18 the top of the Cover the leading edge of a rigid stitch former 27, 28. This ensures that the hanging in the needle 12 Stitch 30 not over the top of the stitch former 27, 28 can slide and then during the closing movement of the Boards 17 and 18 between boards 17 and 18 and the Mesh patterns 27, 28 is pinched. The needles 11 and 12 are in the position shown in Fig. 2 Comb level.

In Fig. 3, the needles 11 and 12 are still at rest. The boards 17 and 18 have a rotary movement about the pivot axes 23, 24 exercised. In this way, the boards reach 17th and 18 their standard closing position S1. The rotation of the Boards 17, 18 are initiated by a force K1. there the boards 17, 18 are supported at position A1 of the elongated hole 21, 22 from. The rotary movement is limited by one stop A2 formed by lock parts. The nose-shaped Projections 25, 26 of the boards 17, 18 are on the level the bottom of the needle. They are also in the middle of the Needle beds closely adjacent, so that both boards 17 and 18th together the mesh storage area to an area below the Limit the needle base.

By the further action of the force K1 and support of the boards 17, 18 on A2, the boards 17 and 18 now perform a rotational movement around the axes 23, 24, which translates superimposed along the axis of the elongated holes 21, 22 is, whereby the projections 25, 26 of the boards is almost perform vertical downward movement. The boards 17 and 18 have now reached their end position S2 and touch almost in the middle plane of the two needle beds V, H. As a result, the stitches 30 hanging in the needles 12 are enclosed, but not held. Through the vertical Movement of the hook-shaped projections 25 and 26 of the boards 17 and 18, the mesh storage space is further down relocated, thereby increasing the security of the further stitch formation process is increased.

The boards 17 and 18 remain in their end position S2. An automatic opening of the boards 17, 18 is not possible because the lock parts 16 opposing forces Exercise K1 and K1 'on the boards 17, 18. Through the advance the needles 12, the stitches 30 from the shaft of the needles 12 carried in the direction of movement. The projection 26 of the Inclusion boards 18 limit the path of the stitch 30, by the geometry and position of the hook-shaped projection 26 this retaining force is exactly opposite to the direction of advance the needle 12 acts.

6, the needles 12 are still in their end position R-R, but the boards 17 and 18 are again through Action of a force exerted by the lock parts K2 in moves back to its standard closed position S1. The movement the boards 17 and 18 are made up of a rotational movement around point A4 and translational movement the longitudinal axis of the elongated hole 22 together. Through this Partial opening of the boards 17 and 18 reduces the voltage in the sinker meshes 30 Needles 12 held in the mesh storage space.

In Fig. 7 the boards 17 and 18 are again in their open position S0 brought, and the needles 12 begin their retraction. The opening movement of the boards 17 and 18 will initiated by the force K2. Since the projection 26 of the board 18 covers the top and front of the stitch former 28, is the security of inserting a thread 31 into the Needle 12 very high. The protrusions 25, 26 of the containment boards 17, 18 do not come in any phase of the board movement sequence over the level of the needle base of the opposite one Needle bed, which allows full board mobility even with expelled needles 11, 12 is guaranteed.

In Fig. 8 the needles 12 are of the respective crop depth KT driven on comb match KG (Fig. 1). In doing so the boards 17 and 18 moved to their end position S2. This prevents the needles 12 from being driven forward just pulled thread 31 can slide over the needle hook. Since the closed sinkers 17, 18 feed the thread 31 always keep at a level where it is easily removed from the needles 11, 12 can be detected, large thread floats can be achieved.

Figures 10 and 11 show in section through the comb gap area of the flat knitting machine along the lines X and XI the positions of the needles 11, 12 and the boards 17, 18.

In Fig. 10, the needles 12 are advanced to the R-R position Service. The boards 17 and 18 are in their end position (S2). The stitches 30 are retained in an analogous manner Way as shown in Figures 2 to 5. Subsequently 11, the needles 12 up to the transfer position propelled. In parallel, the containment boards 17, 18 to a maximum of position S0. The degree of opening depends on the type of knitted fabric and is used on the movable lock parts 16 set. This will make the Reduced tensile load on the loops 30 to be transferred, which counteracts a burst of stitches. The This makes the transfer process much safer. After this The needles are reassigned to either comb-like KG withdrawn or to KT depth (Fig. 9), if form the needles using a split technique. In the latter In this case, the needles are advanced again on Kammgleiche KG and opening the boards 17, 18.

Die Pfeile 45 und 46 geben jeweils die Strickrichtung an.In Figures 12 and 13, the adjacent arrangement is the Boards 17 and 18 of the two needle beds V and H can be seen. The boards 17 and 18 are in their end position S2. In addition to the boards 17, 18 there are rigid meshes 27, 28 arranged. In the single-surface shown in Fig. 12 Knitted fabric 43 overlaps the projections 25, 26 of the legs Stitch the adjacent needles of the same needle bed as well as in the two-face knitted fabric 44 according to FIG. 13. The arrows 45 and 46 each indicate the direction of knitting.

A second exemplary embodiment is shown in FIGS. 14 and 15 represented by boards 17 'and 18', which have a projecting Have breast area 17.1 ', 18.1', the function of Mesh patterns 27 and 28 in those in FIGS. 2 to 8 and 10 and 11 shown boards 17, 18 takes over. Fig. 14 shows the boards 17 'and 18' in the fully open position S0, while FIG. 15 shows the end position S2 of the board 17 ' and 18 'shows.

The boards 17 ', 18' are more offset opposite as the boards 17, 18. Nevertheless in the in 16 and 17 end position S2 of the boards shown 17 'and 18' also the comb gap from the plate projections 25 ', 26' bridges. The enclosing effect of the stitches of the one-face knitted fabric 47 or the two-face Knitted fabric 48 through the projections 25 'and 26' in the thigh area corresponds to being enclosed by the protrusions 25 and 26 of the boards 17, 18.

Figures 18 to 22 show a third embodiment of boards 17 '' and 18 ''. Unlike the other two Embodiments are the boards 17 "and 18" each with provided two elongated holes 40, 41 and 42, 43 and with these two different pivot axes 44, 45 and 46, 47 on the Needle beds V, H stored. 18 shows the boards 17 '' and 18 '' in their open position S0. 19 are the Boards 17 '', 18 '' shown in their standard closed position S1. This position is triggered by a force K1 Rotational movement about the pivot axes 44 and 46 reached, the boards 17 '', 18 '' in the area A1 support. The movement stops when the boards 17 '', 18 '' come to A2. Fig. 20 shows the Boards 17 "and 18" in their end position S2, in which the Boards 17 "and 18" still further into the comb gap 50 of the Machine are moved into it. The movement from the closed position S1 in the end position S2 is initiated by the force K1. The boards 17 "and 18" now lead through here Support on A2 a rotational movement around the swivel axes 45 or 47. The boards 17 "and 18" can be used steplessly in any position between the closed position S1 and the end position S2 are brought. Fig. 21 shows the expulsion of a needle 12, the sinkers by action the force K2 are brought into a closed position S1 '. The boards 17 ″ and 18 ″ describe a rotational movement about axes 44 and 46 until they are on surface A3 Plant come. When opening the boards shown in Fig. 22 to allow the retraction of the needle 12 acts again the force K2 on the boards 17 '' and 18 '', causing them perform a rotary movement around point A3.
