Claims (20)

  1. Valve (1, 101) for dispensing a product in the form of a liquid, a mousse or foam, or a gel, comprising:
    a) a valve body (2, 102) of longitudinal axis (A) defining an internal chamber (4, 104) in communication with the product, the said valve body having an inlet orifice (5, 105) and an outlet duct (10, 110) ;
    b) an operating stem (3, 103) through which there passes a dispensing duct (12, 112) open at both its ends (3a, 103a; 3b, 103b), the operating stem being mounted in a sealed manner in the outlet duct, one of the ends (3a, 103a) of the dispensing duct having at least one supply passage (15), the other end (3b, 103b) opening to the outside of the valve body;
    c) means (M) for selectively placing the supply passage (15) in communication with the internal chamber (4, 104) either by tilting the stem (3, 103) sideways or by axially depressing the stem (3, 103), so as to allow product to be dispensed via the said dispensing duct (12, 112) ;
    characterized in that the valve body (2, 102) is made of elastomeric material, in that the stem (3, 103) has, inside the outlet duct (10, 110), a profile (14, 114) able to collaborate with a complementary profile (8, 108) of the outlet duct to define an articulation roughly about a point (P) and so that, whatever the angular position of the stem with respect to the axis (A), the said stem (3, 103) is in sealed annular contact with the duct (10, 110).
  2. Dispensing valve according to Claim 1, characterized in that the stem (3) exhibits, inside the outlet duct (10), an annular portion forming a projection (14) with respect to the rest of the stem, of spherical shape, having a geometric centre (P), the outlet duct (10) having a portion forming an indentation (8) of a shape that complements that of the portion forming a projection (14) and capable of receiving, in a sealed manner, the said projection-forming portion, the point of articulation of the stem more or less coinciding with the geometric centre (P).
  3. Dispensing valve according to Claim 2, characterized in that the annular projection-forming portion (14) has an outside diameter of between 5 and 7 mm inclusive, the rest of the stem (3) having a diameter of between 3 and 4 mm.
  4. Dispensing valve according to either one of Claims 2 and 3, characterized in that, when the said complementary indentation (8) is not subjected to any elastic stress, it has a radius of curvature 10% to 30% smaller than the radius of curvature of the projection-forming portion (14).
  5. Dispensing valve according to Claim 1, characterized in that the stem (103) exhibits, inside the outlet duct (110), a portion forming a recess (114) in the shape of an annular groove in the shape of a portion of a torus, exhibiting a geometric centre (P), the outlet duct (110) having a portion forming a projection (108) of a shape that complements that of the recess (114) and capable of receiving, in a sealed manner, the said annular groove (114), the point of articulation of the stem coinciding with the geometric centre (P) of the torus.
  6. Dispensing valve according to Claim 5, characterized in that, when the said projection-forming portion (108) is not subjected to any elastic stress, this portion has a radius of curvature 10% to 30% smaller than the radius of curvature of the recess-forming portion (114).
  7. Dispensing valve according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the means (M) for selectively placing the supply passage (15) in communication with the internal chamber (4, 104) comprise a sealing ring (9, 119) urged by elastic return means (20, 120) to bear in sealed fashion against an annular seat (4c, 104c) formed by the said body.
  8. Dispensing valve according to Claim 7, characterized in that the distance, along the axis X of the stem, between the point of articulation (P) and the annular seat (4c, 104c) is between 3 mm and 4 mm.
  9. Dispensing valve according to Claim 7 or 8, characterized in that the valve body (2, 102) exhibits, between the point of articulation (P) and the seat (4c, 104c), a frustoconical portion (4d, 104d) a smaller diameter of which faces towards the point of articulation.
  10. Dispensing valve according to any one of Claims 7 to 9, characterized in that the internal chamber (4, 104) exhibits, between the seat. (4c, 104c) and the inlet orifice (5, 105), a frustoconical portion (4b, 104b) a smaller diameter of which faces towards the inlet orifice.
  11. Dispensing valve according to any one of Claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the dispensing duct (12, 112) opens into the valve chamber (4, 104) via a passage (15, 115) that passes radially through the stem.
  12. Valve according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the valve body comprises external clip-fastening means (7) capable of cooperating with an orifice (208) of a container (202) of liquid product on which the said valve (1) is mounted so that the said product can be dispensed.
  13. Valve according to Claim 12, characterized in that the clip-fastening means (7, 107) consist of an annular groove.
  14. Valve according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the elastomeric material has a Shore A hardness in the range from 30 to 70.
  15. Valve according to any one of Claims 7 to 14, characterized in that the stem (3, 103) and the ring (19, 119) are made of a rigid thermoplastic.
  16. Valve according to one of Claims 7 to 15, characterized in that the elastic return means (20, 120) consist of at least one elastomeric block borne by a wall (4b, 104b) of the chamber (4, 104) and secured thereto, this (or these) block(s) bearing elastically against a part (18, 118) bearing the ring (19, 119).
  17. Valve according to one of Claims 1 to 15, characterized in that the elastic return means consist of at least one block produced on a part (18, 118) bearing the ring, on the opposite side to the sealing region, bearing elastically against a wall of the chamber.
  18. Dispenser comprising a container (202) filled with a liquid product placed under pressure using a propellant gas and a valve (1, 101) for dispensing the said product, characterized in that the valve is in accordance with any one of the preceding claims.
  19. Dispenser according to Claim 18, characterized in that the container (202) has a neck (204) able to collaborate with the clip-fastening means (7) of the valve (1).
  20. Dispenser according to Claim 19, characterized in that the valve (1) is mounted directly on the neck (204) of the container (202).
