Abstract

PCT No. PCT/EP96/03517 Sec. 371 Date Jun. 9, 1998 Sec. 102(e) Date Jun. 9, 1998 PCT Filed Aug. 9, 1996 PCT Pub. No. WO97/07285 PCT Pub. Date Feb. 27, 1997The invention relates to a ground covering of pentagonal shaped concrete slabs (F1) placed against another with joints. The shaped slabs are simple to produce and simple to lay and in order to give such a covering an appearance similar to a ground covering of irregular quarry slabs each shaped slab has two adjacent straight sides of equal length disposed at an obtuse angle, two adjoining concave sides of equal length and equal curvature, and a convex side disposed therebetween which is twice the length of the concave sides and has a curvature corresponding to the curvature of the concave sides. Together the three shaped slabs form a group of three, the straight sides abutting one another with the formation of a star-shaped joint. The outer convex sides of one group of three abut the concave sides of the adjacent group of three and vice versa.

Description

Bodenbelag aus fünfeckigen, mit Fugen aneinanderliegenden Formsteinen aus BetonFlooring made of pentagonal concrete blocks placed next to each other with joints
Various types of floor coverings made of polygonal concrete blocks lying next to one another with joints are known. These shaped stones usually have a regular shape, which allows the individual shaped stones to be placed against one another as desired. Such a floor covering is often required to allow surface water to seep through the joints into the subsoil. In order to facilitate this drainage of surface water, the shaped stones should not collide on their sides, but should be spaced apart with the formation of joints. A disadvantage of such shaped stones is that they have a regular shape, which leads to the fact that the appearance of a floor covering, in contrast to a floor covering made from irregular broken stones, is boring.
The invention has for its object to provide a flooring made of polygonal concrete blocks, which on the one hand can be easily installed, on the other hand, has a lively, irregular broken plate-like appearance. This task is solved with a flooring made of pentagonal concrete blocks that lie next to each other with joints, the two straight sides of equal length, the same length, arranged at an obtuse angle, two adjoining same length, concave sides with the same curvature and an intermediate convex side with one opposite concave side of double length and with a curvature which corresponds to the curvature of the concave sides, and form the groups of three with star-shaped joints formed between the abutting straight sides, the outer convex sides of one group of three abutting the concave sides of the neighboring groups of three and vice versa .
Although the shaped stones of such a floor covering all have the same shape, which simplifies their manufacture and installation, the appearance of the floor covering results from the different shapes and lengths of the sides, which at first glance appears to be completely irregular and the appearance of a floor covering from irregular quarry stones ( Fracture plates) is similar.
A floor covering with these shaped stones is also suitable for effectively removing surface water, in particular if, according to one embodiment of the invention, the sides of each shaped stone have cams as part of their length and height as gap-forming spacers. In this embodiment of the invention, each side need not have spacers; it is sufficient if one of the adjoining sides of two shaped stones has a spacer. For production and laying, however, it is easier if all sides have spacers that then work together in pairs. In any case, these spacers make them sufficiently wide Joint reached when laying. These spacers, which are only at a part of the height of the shaped blocks, should be completely missing in the upper area in order to form a continuous joint here.
Im einzelnen zeigen:The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to a drawing which represents an exemplary embodiment. In detail show:
Figur 1 einen aus fünfeckigen mit Fugen aneinanderliegenden Formsteinen gebildeten Bodenbelag in Aufsicht,FIG. 1 shows a top view of a pentagonal floor covering formed with joints lying against one another,

Figur 3 einen Querschnitt durch zwei benachbarteFigure 3 shows a cross section through two adjacent
Formsteine nach der Linie I-I der Figur 2.Shaped stones along the line I-I of Figure 2.
The shaped brick made of concrete shown in FIG. 1 has a symmetrical shape with respect to the line M. It has two straight sides 1, 2 which form an obtuse angle, two concave sides 3, 4 adjoining these straight sides 1, 2 and an intermediate convex side 5, the length of which is equal to half the length of each of the concave sides 3, 4 and whose curvature corresponds to the curvature of the concave sides 3, 4. Cams la, lb, 2a, 2b, 3a, 4a, 5a, 5b formed as gap-forming spacers are formed on each of the sides 1-5, which are only part of the length of the corresponding sides 1-5 and practically over the entire height of pages 1-5 extend. They jump back only at the upper edge 4b. These spacers la, lb, 2a, 2b, 3a, 4a, 5a, 5b determine the width of the joints 6 between the shaped blocks with a corresponding spacer of adjacent shaped blocks. These joints 6 serve to take up sand or other granular material and to drain surface water into the subsurface.
As Figure 1 shows, the laying of the shaped blocks is carried out in such a way that three shaped blocks F 1 , F 2 , F 3 lie against each other with their straight sides 1 , 2 and form a group of three to form star-shaped joints. The outer sides of this group of three are alternately convex and concave, with all sides having the same length. Around such a group of three are six identical groups of three, with convex and concave sides interlocking. With such a laying it is ensured that only three joints meet at each interface. This benefits the permanent positioning of the shaped stones in the company.
