Abstract

The cover has an insert (4) with a top flange for a lid (1), and a ring-shaped part (6), fastened to elements (5) on the lid. The flange has the same shape as the top shaft end. The tubular insert projects into the shaft (2). For height-adjustment, the cover part is fastened to the elements on the lid at the correct height, and is then placed on the top shaft end. The elements on the lid are formed by mainly horizontal ribs, and correspondingly shaped grooves (7) on the ring-shaped part engage over the ribs.

Description

The invention relates to a height-adjustable shaft closure. in particular Sewer shaft termination, according to the preamble of claim 1.

Usually, shafts that provide access to the underlying channels or. offer similar facilities, formed by concrete rings, the top ring one Offers support for the manhole cover or manhole cover. The height of the lid is determined by Intermediate rings made of concrete adapted to the road surface level. The intermediate rings are only in Coarse heights are available, which is why only a rough adjustment is possible. Resulting too high or too low manhole covers are on roads for Drivers are annoying and can e.g. even an obstacle for single-track vehicles and thus being dangerous. If the road surface is renewed, it must be readjusted the height of the manhole cover is required. This is a relatively labor intensive process.

For example, CH 627 505 A5 describes a height-adjustable shaft end, whose mechanism consists of two concentric rings, the inner ring of which Duct cover picks up and rests on the outer ring. Between the outside and inner ring is helically arranged a toothing, which is a gradual Permits height adjustment of the manhole cover. This construction can be used in existing Manhole closures can only be used with great effort. Beyond that is only a relatively small adjustment range possible. US 3,629,981 A describes one height-adjustable manhole cover, consisting of a cylindrical element attached to the has a thread-like groove on the inside and a cylindrical sleeve with a thread-like structure on the outside complementary to the groove. At the top the sleeve has a flange for receiving the manhole cover. By rotating the The height of the shaft end can be varied. Sealing rings prevent this Penetration of dirt into the thread causes the arrangement to be elastically supported and prevent unwanted twisting. The handling for height adjustment is relatively difficult since the sleeve, which can have a relatively large mass, twists must become. Other height-adjustable shaft closures are known from US 1 712 267 A AT 380 044 B and FR 2 523 615 A are known. These constructions are also not simply attachable to existing shaft systems.

A height-adjustable manhole cover of the kind is known for example from US 4,325,405 A, in which the Height adjustment a component is provided by twisting causes a height adjustment. The disadvantage here is that at Contamination of the external thread of the insert a twist of the Component and thus a height adjustment of the shaft end is difficult.

The object of the invention is to create measures which od or a height adjustment of a manhole cover. The like. Steplessly or cheaply in a simple and inexpensive manner Allow step height while avoiding the disadvantages mentioned above. The measures according to the invention are intended both for existing as well as applicable for new manhole covers.

The object of the invention is achieved by the features of characterizing part of claim 1. The fact that the flange-like extension of the insert same shape as that has upper shaft end, the construction can be used on existing Manhole closures using the original manhole or manhole cover can be used. You just have to use it and the or each component between the manhole cover and the Shaft "interposed". Thus an application of the present invention for existing shaft systems in simple Way possible. By protruding the insert into the Compared to known systems, the shaft has a higher adjustment range achievable. The or everyone at the structures on the job Attachable component facilitates handling when adjusting the height the shaft end. The structures at use as well the corresponding shapes on the or each component can have different shapes. So can use sawtooth-shaped bulges and corresponding on the or each component Grooves can be provided. Holes are also used as well as bolt-shaped extensions on the or each component, with the help of which the or each component in use in the desired Height can be fixed. The height is adjusted by lifting the insert out of the shaft, the or each component is attached to the insert at an appropriate height and then use it with the or each component again the shaft is lowered. There is usually one at the top of the shaft Recess on which the or each component is secure and is non-slip. The fact that the or each component by two ring halves with formations on the inside in Form a groove corresponding to the structures of the insert the component can be placed on the insert be relieved as this is not from below on the insert must be screwed on, but at the right height can be put on from the outside. If the one provided with the component Use in the shaft is due to the existing Recess at the top of the shaft of the component or are Components fix and keep the insert in the right position. The stake is thus held at a height which is determined by the Attachment of the or each component to the structures on the insert is defined. The step height is due to the spacing of the structures set in the vertical direction. In contrast to known ones Systems for height adjustment of manhole covers is that system according to the invention also on shaft closures with e.g. rectangular or square cross section applicable. For one production and use are as cheap as possible each component is preferably made of cast iron, but it is the use of other suitable materials is also possible.

Advantageously, the insert according to the invention is essentially tubular, so that a Access to the shaft or a free drain of e.g. Allow sewage in the sewer becomes.

Existing shafts are usually cylindrical, which is why the use according to the invention ideally is also essentially cylindrical. Furthermore, result from the cylindrical shape further advantages in use. which mentioned below become.

In the case of a cylindrical insert, according to a further feature, the Invention of the or each component designed in a ring. In the case of a one-piece component this completely encloses the insert and therefore offers optimal support. A ring-shaped Component can with appropriate design of the structures in use and the corresponding shapes on the component can be adjusted by rotation.

The structures are advantageously composed of a plurality of ones which run essentially horizontally Bulges and the formations on the or each component by a corresponding shaped groove formed. This construction variant is light and therefore inexpensive to manufacture.

To adjust the height of the manhole or manhole cover in very fine increments enable, the vertical distances of the essentially horizontal Structures between 1 mm and 10 mm, preferably 5 mm. This can be a legal Regulation, which provides an adjustability of less than 5 mm, must be met.

A stepless height adjustment can be achieved in that the structures on one cylindrical insert are formed by an external thread. Thus, by twisting of or each component can be adjusted in height.

Accordingly, the or each component is through a ring with an external thread appropriate internal thread. So the ring can be on the desired height on the insert rotated and this is inserted into the shaft. By Rotation of the ring relative to the insert can change the height of the manhole cover can be varied.

According to a further feature of the invention, means are, for example Plug pins or wedges are provided, which the or each ring-shaped component in relation to the insert before twisting to back up. These offer certainty that the height of the shaft or Manhole cover or the like due to unwanted rotation of the insert is not changed.

By arranging a sealing element, preferably one Sealing ring, made of elastic material between the or each Component and the upper end of the shaft, noise and vibrations, such as occur when a vehicle over the shaft or Manhole cover moves, be damped.

With newly constructed manhole covers, it is advantageous if the manhole cover and duct cover are made in one piece become. The production can e.g. done in one casting.

Advantageously, around the top of the insert Support ring or the like. And between the insert and the support ring or. At most, a wedge ring or the like is arranged. The support ring prevents bulk goods or asphalt from being used on the structures stick or damage and thus prevent height adjustment. The wedge ring can be used with the support ring be wedged and twisting prevented. Naturally the shape of the support and wedge ring is not limited to the ring shape but can also be connected to another form of the shaft cross-section be adjusted.

The invention is based on a preferred embodiment explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawing.

Bei neuen Schachtabschlüssen kann der erfindungsgemäße Einsatz 4 mit dem Kanaldeckel 1 einstückig hergestellt sein.1 includes a manhole cover 1 or the like, which is normally on a shaft 2 forming tube or the like. is placed. The pipe that the Shaft wall 3 is usually made of concrete. At the The upper end of the tube is usually a slightly conical one Recess 9 into which the correspondingly shaped manhole cover 1 or the like. Can be used. Over the shaft 2 is e.g. access to the sewer below or Cable duct or the like. Enables or flows the rainwater in the Channel down. For height adjustment of the manhole cover 1 or the like. An insert 4 projecting into the shaft 2 is provided. In the example shown, this insert 4 corresponds to the cylindrical shaft 2 is also cylindrical. However, other shapes are also possible, the insert 4 is advantageously tubular, so that access to the shaft 2 or an outflow of waste water into the channel this is made possible. According to the invention, the insert 4 instructs its structures 5 facing the shaft wall 3. In principle, these structures 5 can have any shape. They have the task of using one or more components 6 4 to fix, thereby adjusting the height of the manhole cover 1 becomes. The formation of the Structures 5 in the form of an external thread on the insert 4. This permitted in combination with an annular component 6 an internal thread 7, corresponding to the external thread 5 on the Insert 4 a continuous adjustment of the height of the shaft or manhole cover 1. There are also other designs of the structures 5, such as sawtooth-shaped bulges or the like, or Holes conceivable. To dampen noise and vibrations between the component 6 and the upper end of the shaft 2 forming Pipe or the like. A sealing element, preferably a Sealing ring 8 made of elastic material. The Component 6 is screwed onto insert 4 and then this insert with the screwed-on annular component 6 in inserted the shaft until the component 6 at the top of the Pipe or a possible recess rests. By simple Rotation of the annular component 6 with respect to the cylindrical Insert 4, the manhole cover 1 can be continuously lowered or raised become. After reaching the desired height, the Insert 4 secured with the annular component 6 against rotation become. In the case of a recess at the top of the shaft this is not necessary since the component 6 is pressed in the wall of the tube is prevented from twisting. With new ones Shaft endings, the insert 4 according to the invention with the Manhole cover 1 be made in one piece.

According to the invention, the ring-shaped component 6 is in two halves divided. This allows the two parts laterally in the desired Height to the external thread 5 of the cylindrical insert 4 are attached and do not have to be turned from below be brought to the appropriate height. This makes the application easier and thus saves time and money. Naturally can in the case of a split ring 6 instead of the external thread 5 also annular bulges arranged one above the other, such as. sawtooth-shaped rings can be provided. In one The case is not the height adjustment of the manhole cover 1 or the like stepless but with a minimum step height corresponding to the vertical distance between the bulges or sawtooth-shaped rings possible. In such a case, the insert 4 does not have to must be cylindrical, because a height adjustment in this Not by twisting the insert 4 relative to the component 6 takes place, but by vertically displacing the component 6 the outer wall of the insert 4.

Der Unterschied zu der in Fig. 1 gezeigten Fig. 2 shows a side view of a slightly modified performance variant in cross section. The shaft 2 is replaced by a Tube formed. The insert 4 protrudes into the shaft Ring 6 is held at the appropriate height. In a recess the manhole cover is inserted at the upper end of the insert 4. The difference to that shown in Fig. 1

Construction is that above the, the shaft 2 forming tube or the like. Around the Insert a support ring 10 is arranged, which the insert 4 or on the insert 4th structures 5 in front of bulk material, e.g. Protect sand, earth or asphalt and one guaranteed safe function.

Naturally is also one for manhole covers and manhole covers with a different cross-section correspondingly different shape of the support element is conceivable. The wedge ring 11, which between the support ring 10 and the insert 4 can be pressed in, serves to insert the 4 in front to protect against unwanted twisting. Here too there are variants in the form of individual ones Wedge pieces or other means that prevent twisting are of course conceivable.

Kanaldeckels möglich, da sonst der Einsatz die Schachtwand berühren würde.4a and 4b schematically illustrate a construction variant for setting the Inclination of the manhole and manhole cover in two different positions. Here is the Component 6 in a manner known per se by one inclined to the horizontal Formed in the direction of the divided ring, the ring parts 6 ', 6 "being rotatable relative to one another. In Fig. 4a, the two ring parts 6 ', 6 "are in a position in which the upper End face of the upper ring 6 'forms a horizontal surface. 4b shows the maximum Inclination caused by a rotation of the ring part 6 'with respect to the ring part 6 "of 180 ° is achieved. The formations (7, not shown) for attaching the insert are included to be provided on the upper ring part 6 '. So that the use due to the inclined position does not match the lower ring part 6 "collides. At best, a corresponding design of this lower Ring part 6 '' necessary. This can compensate for uneven floors or slopes. which occur in particular in channels serving as drains. Of course, there are only slight inclinations of the insert and thus the shaft or Manhole cover possible, otherwise the insert would touch the shaft wall.

The illustrations essentially show only one possible variant of the Invention. Changes are possible within the scope of the claims. So it can Invention also for manhole covers with a different cross-section, e.g. rectangular or square cross section. It could be a stake accordingly the cross section of the shaft with structures in the form of bulges or holes, so that a correspondingly shaped component can be placed. But it is also that Use of a cylindrical insert with an external thread as a conceivable structure which is a component with an outside rectangular or square shape corresponding to the Shaft and round shape on the inside with an internal thread or a groove or the like. according to the external thread of the insert. This means that even with a shaft rectangular or square cross section of the manhole cover by turning the The height of the insert can be adjusted continuously.
