Definitions
- the present invention relates to an alternative pump vertical for the dewatering of liquids present in the soil, according to the preamble of the first claim.
- Known vertical reciprocating pumps intended to pump water, are moved manually. They consist, depending on the depth of the layers, either of stem, either of a drill string, vertical, carrying one or several valve pistons.
- Known pistons generally consist of a cylinder of a certain length provided at its periphery along one of its edges, notably the edge upper, with a sliding joint in the dewatering tube.
- This cylinder part is engaged so sliding on a body, for example formed of fins and terminated at its base by a valve.
- a body for example formed of fins
- the piston is tight. In otherwise, the liquid can pass through the piston.
- a device multiple piston pumping in which the piston consists of a cylinder whose bottom has a so-called alveolar structure. This cylinder is fitted on the back and forth motion control rod. Above honeycomb bottom there is a maintained discharge valve bearing against the honeycomb structure by an element tubular. This tubular element passes through the interior of the cylinder and bears against a stop integral with the rod. Below the piston, i.e. the honeycomb bottom of the cylinder, a nut and lock nut is provided for block the assembly.
- the valve being a wearing part, it gets tired and may require replacement. In this case, it must dismantle the entire piston to access the valve, remove the valve to be changed and install the new one valve. To do this, remove the piston completely of the rod to be able to thread the new valve.
- the object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks and proposes to create an alternative pump, simple and reliable construction, allowing to pump efficiently liquids even in slicks with very great depth, with a very regular flow even after extended usage time, and who can maintain or replace in a simple way or which avoids that the valve of the piston or pistons which are above water level when the pump is stopped, do not clog with particles in suspension in water.
- the invention relates to an alternative pump vertical corresponding to the type defined above, according to the main claim.
- the pistons are easily mounted / dismounted on the rod or the meeting of the elements constituting a train stem of a pump for a significant depth.
- the piston structure practically avoids any deposit of solid particles and any clogging the piston valve or the piston itself in its tube, by flushing the piston during operation and the end of a pumping phase.
- the particular shape of the piston has the advantage of minimize contact with the interior surface of the dewatering tube.
- valve is made up by a lifting membrane which rests on the support to support the water column, following a interesting feature for operation.
- valve membrane is cut between its outer edge to the opening for the passage of the rod so as to be able to engage the membrane on the rod without having to put it on it.
- the diaphragm in the form of a split disc is placed very easily over the support, by simply loosening one of the two nuts holding the support. This operation is done very quickly and there is no need for it remove the support from the rod, i.e. tedious unscrewing.
- the membrane can also be formed by several partially overlapping sectors.
- a such an embodiment offers the advantage of simplicity of assembly and disassembly; it constitutes a flexible form, allowing different sectors to partially lift or relative to each other.
- the piston will have dimensions more or less close to the inner section of the tube dewatering.
- the vertical reciprocating pump of the invention consists of a base 1 resting on the floor 2.
- a vertical fountain 3 is integral with the base 1; it has a liquid outlet spout 4 which for example flows into a reservoir 5.
- This fountain tube 3 is extended at its lower end by a tube dewatering 6.
- This tube 6 receives a control rod 7 equipped one or more pistons 8 which will be described later.
- the lower end of the dewatering tube 6 is fitted with a foot valve 9.
- Rod 7 which can also be a train of rods, i.e. an assembly of fixed rods following the others, depending on the depth of the water table in which one pumps, is controlled in reciprocating motion by a mechanism 10 which is only shown very schematically.
- This mechanism 10 is carried by an easel 11.
- the mechanism 10 can be driven either manually or by an animal, either by a heat or electric motor and in the latter case, we can consider a unit autonomous power supply, e.g. batteries charged by solar cells.
- the reciprocating vertical movement of the rod 7 and pistons 8 first ensures the rise of the column liquid supported by the pistons 8 and the spill a certain amount of liquid in the reservoir 5; then the rod 7 lowers the pistons 8 inside of the liquid column contained in the dewatering tube 6 and retained by the bottom valve 9. Arrived at the end of low stroke, the pistons 8 are raised by the rod 7 and thus raise the column of liquid above each piston. At the same time, the piston above the check valve bottom 9 creates a depression below it. This depression draws liquid through the bottom valve 9 into tube 6. The cycle continues thus.
- Figures 2 and 3 show the structure of a first example of embodiment of a piston 8, first in Figure 2 the descent position of a piston 8 driven by its rod 7 then in FIG. 3, its ascent.
- Figure 2 is a partial axial section of the dewatering tube 6 showing the rod 7 or drill string formed a part of rod 71 connected to a part of rod 72 by through a threaded sleeve 74; the lower end 73 of rod 71 is threaded beyond what is necessary for the simple screwing of the sleeve 74 so as to receive the piston 8.
- This piston 8 fixed between a lower nut 12 and an upper nut 13 consists of a support disc-shaped including an outer ring 81 connected by spokes 82 to an upper hub 83 passed through by rod 71 (or its threaded part 73) and a lower hub 84 also crossed by the rod 71; this lower hub 84 supports the support by legs 85 connected to crown 81.
- the piston 8 has a valve formed here by a flexible membrane 87.
- the radial shape of the support allows the passage of liquid (up) in the direction of the arrows A, B, when the piston descends into the liquid column in the dewatering tube 6 as indicated by arrow C.
- Figure 3 shows the upward movement of the rod 7 (or rod elements 71, 72 in the case of a drill string) identical to that of figure 2, following an upward movement indicated by arrow D.
- the legs 85 transmit part of the forces applied to the part outside of the support towards the lower hub 84.
- the outer crown 81 of the support has a beveled edge or a rounded edge, minimizing contact between piston 8 and the inner surface of the dewatering tube 6.
- This linear contact in a circle and not in a cylindrical surface allows to absorb all deviations or differences alignment for example in curve between the rod 7 and the dewatering tube 6, minimizing friction forces which oppose upward movements.
- valve 87 lifts so flexible support 81, 82, 83 and allows the liquid to rinse the support, thus avoiding any deposit of particles solids which would affect the tightness of the piston for movement ascent.
- the section of the dewatering tube 6 and that of the piston 8 is circular without this form being limiting and does not exclude a polygonal shape: hexagonal or square, etc.
- Figures 4, 5, 6 show more detailed the structure of a piston as described above.
- Figure 4 shows in section the support with its crown outside 81, a cut branch 82, the collar of the upper hub 83, one cut leg 85 and the other not cut, the intermediate crowns 86 as well as the collar of the lower hub 84.
- Half of the diaphragm 87 is also shown cut, the other half is not represented.
- Figure 5 which is a top view corresponding in figure 4, shows half of the membrane 87 and the different parts of the support and in particular the spokes 82 crowns 81, 86 and upper hub 83 leaving between them the intervals for the passage of the liquid to pump.
- FIG. 6 The exploded view of Figure 6 shows these different parts, namely the diaphragm-shaped valve 87, the support and its constituent parts 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86.
- the piston support is a part made by example in a single part for example plastic molded.
- the valve 87 is preferably made of a material flexible such as synthetic rubber or material plastic.
- valve The dimensions of the valve are such that it covers the support holes and comes close to the surface interior of the dewatering tube with at least an interval sufficient to leave a film of liquid along the wall of the tube.
- valve 87 can be a piece in disc shape which fits on the rod 7, according to the figure 6 it is advantageously split, that is to say that the disc forming the valve 87 is cut along a line 88.
- This cut line can be the junction line of the two edges of the disc cut.
- This cut line 88 goes from the outer edge 89 to the hole 90 in the middle of the valve 87 receiving the rod 71 (7).
- edges of the cut line 88 can also overlap as indicated by the dotted line 91.
- This line is actually the edge of part of disc coming under the top edge so that both edges of the disc overlap on the corner sector included between lines 88 and 91.
- This embodiment of the valve makes it possible to replace simply a worn or damaged valve without having to dismantle the medium itself.
- Figure 7 is an exploded view of a variant piston construction which differs from previous pistons by the particular shape of the valve and the mode of fixing it.
- This piston variant is distinguished by the shape of the valve made up of four sectors 92, 93, 94, 95.
- Sector 92 is shown separated from the other sectors represented them, in the assembled position. These sectors can have the same shapes and dimensions and overlap in fish scales. It is also possible, as shown in the variant of figure 7, to place two sectors 93 and 95 first in a diametrically opposite position, on support 81-86 then place the two sectors 92 and 94 over sectors 93 and 95 thus achieving slight overlap represented by dashed lines interrupted. In the case of such a valve, when the piston descends into the water, sectors 92 and 94 above rise before sectors 93 and 95. Sectors 92 cover the angle greater than 1/4 disc so that overlap as shown.
- the legs 96, 97 and the slot 98 allow place each sector, for example sector 92, on horseback on a radial branch 82 and between the inner crown 83 and the intermediate crown, directly adjacent 86.
- the first intermediate crown 86 is very close to the upper hub 83, the distance separating these two crowns leaving room for the legs 96, 97.
- the upper fixing member is installed formed of two halves 99A, 99B each terminated by assembly tabs 100, 101. These two parts 99A, 99B have an inner surface 102, 103 threaded, so that the two pieces come together making up the same continuous thread. These parts are assembled for example by screws not shown as indicated by the broken lines 104.
- parts 99A, 99B continue by a half-collar 105, 106; these complement each other, when the part is assembled, to form a flange pressing the segments 92-95 against the support of the piston 8 previously placed on the rod.
- the valve is tulip-shaped, attached near the outer edge of the outer ring 81; the valve opening is then around the stem possibly provided with a lining form a seat for the edge of the valve.
- the edges of the "petals" of the valve on the side of the opening can be joined by a ring engaged on the rod.
- the valve in the form of tulip is made up of a single frustoconical membrane fixed by its outer edge, the inner edge bordering the orifice, possibly provided with a ring, surrounding the stem; it can also be fitted with a part forming the shutter seat against which comes lean against the edge of the valve opening.
- Figures 8 to 10 show another mode of realization of a piston support according to the invention.
- This support is formed by two parts 200, 201, for example exactly identical, i.e. corresponding substantially to the support of Figure 1, cut by a diametrical plane (passing through the axis of the rod). These two halves will be thus made from the same mold.
- These two parts 200, 201 are assembled on the rod 7 by an assembly of necklace type. For this, in the upper zone and in the lower area of each part 200, 201, legs complete the pieces to form necklaces.
- part 200 left consists of an outer crown 81A connected by spokes 82A to a hub 83A or crown interior. It is in fact both for the crown 81A and of crown 83A of a half-crown. It is the same half-crowns 86A intermediate.
- the “straight” part 201 comprises the same elements as the "left” part 200, with the same references in which the suffix A is replaced by the suffix B.
- the half-crown 83A is also longer that the thickness of the spokes 82A or of the outer crown 81A so that the legs 108A, 109A are accessible for the assembly of the two parts 200, 201.
- the lower hub 84A also corresponds to a half-hub extended on each side by lugs 110A, 111A intended to be assembled, always in the manner a collar, with the homologous legs 110B, 111B of the lower hub 84B of the other part 201 (FIG. 10).
- This figure 10 also shows the primers branches 85A and 85B of the two parts 200, 201.
- the two parts 200, 201 are arranged on either side of the rod 7. It suffices to assemble them by the legs of the upper collars (these are also partially hidden by the departments 82A, 82B).
- This embodiment of the support offers double advantage of simpler manufacturing since the mold only corresponds to half the shape of the support. Being given the symmetry, we can use the same mold to perform parts 200, 201.
- Figure 11 shows the support consisting of two parts 200, 201 similar to the support shown in Figure 9.
- the legs 85A ... have not been shown.
- These legs are preferably located in planes other than the junction plane of the two halves 200, 201.
- the two parts 200, 201 comprise, along the junction plane, ribs 112A, 113B on which pliers are engaged 113, 114.
- This mode assembly can in some cases be more interesting to join the upper part of the support, preferably to a less accessible screw connection.
- the parts 200, 201 can be connected by a screw connection or also a clamp connection like that described here.
- the ribs can be parallel to the axis of the support and slide vertically. To prevent the clamps do not come off under the effect of vibrations they can be locked with a small screw.
- Figure 12 shows an alternative embodiment support for example like that of Figure 4.
- This support is completed at its periphery, by a skirt 115 leaving an interval 116 sufficient relative to the wall of the dewatering tube to avoid friction, while creating nevertheless a pressure drop zone to slow down the water flow during pumping.
- this skirt 115 is located under the support and not on the side of the valve 87.
