    Claims (11)

    1. A high pressure fan for conveying a gaseous medium, wherein in a tube-shaped case a fan wheel is arranged which essentially takes in axially, accelerates radially and blows out axially the medium and wherein a fixed guiding device is arranged in the tube-shaped case downstream of the fan wheel, the following parts being arranged in the tube-shaped case (1):
      a) an electric motor (2) attached to the tube-shaped case (1) and having a motor shaft,
      b) an inflow nozzle (3)
      c) a closed fan wheel with a rear disc (10) and a front cover disc (11) having a smaller diameter than that of the rear disc and a plurality of blades (12) arranged between the disc (10),
      characterized by
      d) a baffle disc (13) having a smaller diameter than that of the disc (10) and forming an annular gap (14) narrowing the flow path at the inside of the tube-shaped case (1).
    2. A high pressure fan as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the electric motor (2) is arranged upstream of the parts a) to d).
    3. A high pressure fan as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the electric motor (2) is arranged downstream of the parts a) to d).
    4. A high pressure fan as claimed in claims 1 to 3, characterized by the following features:
      a) the inflow nozzle (3) has in the area of the circular opening (5) an annular channel (6) which has a circular annular gap (7) facing the opening (5),
      b) the annular channel (6) is in communication with the outside of the tube-shaped case (1) through an opening (8),
      c) the interior of the tube-shaped case above the inflow nozzle (3) is in communication with the outside of the tube-shaped case through another opening (B).
    5. A high pressure fan as claimed in claims 1 to 4, characterized in that an axially adjustable conical throttle device is provided in the area of the opening (5) of the inflow nozzle (3).
    6. A high pressure fan as claimed in claims 1 to 5, characterized in that between a wall (15) present at the drive side of the motor and the inflow nozzle (3) a flow space (18) is formed, wherein a supply duct (A 2) is present in the wall (15) and the flow space has supply flow openings (19).
    7. A high pressure fan as claimed in claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the blades (12) are curved backward.
    8. A high pressure fan as claimed in claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the blades (12) are formed ending radially.
    9. A high pressure fan as claimed in claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the blades (12) are curved forward.
    10. A high pressure fan as claimed in one of the preceding claims 1 to 9, characterized in that at increasing pressure a portion of the medium to be conveyed leaving the blades of the fan wheel is redirected onto the blades and accelerated again.
    11. A high pressure fan as claimed in one of the preceding claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the diameter of the front cover disc (11) is smaller than that of the baffle disc (13).
