Definitions

  • the invention relates to a reclining furniture, in particular hospital or nursing bed, with on one or at least one side part of the bed that can be lowered on at least one long side of the reclining furniture from an upper position to a lower position that gives free access to the lying surface and, if appropriate, also in intermediate positions on one Lockable end or at both ends.
  • bed side parts are also known which only extend over a part, preferably the head-side end part of the bed in question, while the other part is open without protection.
  • a section of the relevant bed side part is cranked at right angles to the outside and is rigid, so that particularly disabled people can use this part as a handle when getting up and can lift themselves up from the bed when getting up.
  • the bed side part which can be pivoted up and down in a scissor-like manner consists of several length sections which leave a freely accessible space on the foot and head side for the lying surface.
  • a space is provided between the different bed side sections, the spaces being larger on the head and foot sides.
  • a bed in particular a hospital and / or nursing bed, is already known, consisting of a bed frame in which a preferably adjustable bed insert or bed frame is arranged, and a frame supporting the bed frame, the bed frame being at least one Has integrated safety side part, which can be brought into a raised and a lowered position.
  • the safety side part has a plurality of cross struts which are each pivotably mounted on the bed frame at one end and the other end of which is connected to a longitudinal strut in an articulated manner.
  • the bed side part can be swiveled up and down in the vertical plane, as in the above-described bed parts, that is to say in an upper, locked position which blocks free access to the bed and a swiveled down position which enables free access to the lying surface.
  • DE-GM 90 16 422.9 shows a bed, in particular a hospital and / or nursing bed with laterally arranged, board-like profiles, which leave a gap between them and which form the bed side part.
  • the bed side part is also arranged lockable in an upper and lower position.
  • the side part has a foldable wall, which is arranged between an upper and a lower tube or corresponding cross bars.
  • the cross bars are slidably guided in side guides of the corner bars so that the upper cross bar can be pulled up over the total height of the guide or length of the guide and the lower cross bar can only be moved in a partial section of this guide, with the movement of the lower cross bar each in this guide limiting stop or locking is arranged and the upper cross member are coupled in motion with the lower cross member via the foldable wall.
  • DE-GM 85 32 458 and DE-PS 35 40 723 also show a patient and / or nursing bed, the side parts being attached to the bed surround in such a way that the movable side part is arranged in a vertical plane through the longitudinal beam of the Lying surface frame runs and therefore there should be no protruding parts on the side.
  • There are guide means for the movable side parts which are formed by the four corner posts themselves, the guide slots pointing towards the inner surface of the bed, such that the movable and height-adjustable side part is part of the bed frame itself and is integrated into it.
  • DE-GM 84 12 948.4 also shows a hospital and / or nursing bed with a side part, which is designed as a wooden grille and is provided on both sides with a short guide on the upper spar and with longer guides on the side edges of the wooden grille body.
  • a hospital bed in the form of a sectional frame bed with several side-by-side pivotable connected to parallel axes lying surface parts are known, which carry the bedding, at least on one side of the bed having movable parts, movable bed side part is arranged.
  • the bed side part is designed to be articulated in predetermined length ranges such that pivoting and / or lifting movements of the lying surface parts, the respectively assigned sections of the side part also carry out these movements.
  • the bed side part consists of several sections which, like the lying surface parts, can be moved in an articulated manner are interconnected.
  • the bed side part extends over the entire length of the bed.
  • Foldable side rails are from the brochure sheet Trevillton - New lateral and longitudinal patient transfer system "from Trevillton Ltd., Caerphilly, Great Britain, which also extend over the entire length of the lying surface.
  • a side grille made of tubes is also shown in a brochure from Stryker Medical. Some constructions only extend over part of the length, others over a complete length.
  • Intensive care beds the lying surfaces of which are each assigned several, relatively short bed side parts, consisting of tubes arranged parallel to one another.
  • Bed side parts which consist of a rigid grille and are guided by pipe sleeves on the vertical columns for the bed heads, are also previously known from a brochure from Hoskins & Sewell Ltd., for example model number Y 2872.
  • the lowered side panel In the lower position, the lowered side panel completely obstructs the free space under the mattress area and the floor, so that nothing can be set up, X-rayed or arranged below.
  • the European patent application 95 119 930.6-2315 which has not been previously published and also belongs to the applicant, relates to a bed side part for reclining furniture, in particular for hospital beds or nursing beds, which can be lowered on one long side of the bed from its uppermost to its lowest position, which gives free access to the lying surface and, if necessary, can also be locked in intermediate positions at one end or at both ends, the top of the bed side being assigned a protective side part which extends over part of its length and which, for example, is in the inactive position in the uppermost position of the bed side part and in the intermediate position of the bed side part, preferably in its lowermost position, protects the patient on the head side.
  • each Bed side is protected by a bed side part that can be fully lowered, as usual, but can also be locked in an upper locking position and in an intermediate position.
  • This bed side part is usually used at night, or for example when the patient is freshly operated.
  • the additional, considerably smaller, in particular shorter sized protective side panel has the advantage that, for example, the large and long bed side panel can be lowered during the day, so that not only the nursing staff have good access from the side to the patient to carry out treatments, but also there is also the possibility that when the bed side parts are completely lowered, the patient continues to be protected against inadvertent falling out during the day, for example during sleep.
  • the patient can use it as a handle, for example when raising and leaving the bed, but also when getting back in.
  • he can also completely stow this protective side part after erecting like the other bed side part, so that the lying surface is fully accessible over the entire length.
  • a conventional bed side part with a protective side part is useful combined ".
  • This protective side part only needs to extend over a certain length, for example only over a third of the length of the lying surface.
  • This protective side part does not normally bother the nursing staff or the doctor either, since it only extends over part of the length of the bed, so that treatments on the legs or lower abdomen, possibly also in the abdominal area, can be carried out without further ado. If the entire length and completely free access to the lying surface are required, the protective side panel can be stowed away quickly and conveniently, practically with one hand, for example by swiveling it downwards.
  • the bed side part can basically have any construction, for example consist of tubes running parallel to one another, of a grid, of scissor-like moving elements, of fabric webs or the like.
  • a bed side part for a bed, in particular for a sick bed, known there as a protective grille is known with two arms which are pivotally articulated on the protective grille at one end and on the other End are pivotally mounted on a support section and for adjusting the protective grille in a raised or lowered position, with the support rods assigned to the support section for displacing the protective grille relative to the bed and with a releasable locking mechanism which prevents the protective grille from being displaced, the support section is slidably mounted on the support rods, a stop pin is attached to the bed, which cooperates with a locking member movably mounted on the support section, a control member connected to both arms, coupled via crank arms, moves together with the arms and has a web, which locks the locking member into one Unlocked position adjusted when the arms are in the lower position for the purpose of adjusting the support member in relation to the stop pin in the direction under the bed.
  • the bed disclosed by this publication has in the area of the backrest and in the area of the foot part on each side, foldable, arranged in a vertical plane, consisting of profile tubes bed side parts. If the person wants to leave the bed, the bed side parts can be folded down into a vertical position on one or both sides at the foot end, the patient sliding down between the bed side parts onto the middle part and then standing sideways on the feet. Climbing the bed may be done in the same way. If the bed side parts in the area of the backrest are also folded into the inactive position, the patient no longer has anything to lean on.
  • the handle or the like extends over more than the center of the bed, seen transversely to the longitudinal axis of the bed, it takes up a lot of space next to or between the head of the bed and the wall possibly provided here when it is pivoted into the inactive position. This space is not always available, quite apart from the fact that this post-like structure is structurally complex and heavy.
  • the invention has for its object to give disabled and / or sick people the opportunity to sit up on the couch to sit on the edge of the bed and gradually stand on their feet and lie back alone on the couch. Therefore, specifically, a piece of reclining furniture or a nursing or nursing bed should be created, in which the sick or nursing person is offered an aid that makes it much easier for them to leave the reclining furniture, but also to get back into bed or the like.
  • a conventional up and down adjustable bed side part is assigned a support and auxiliary handle which is arranged independently of the bed side part in question on one or both long sides of the reclining furniture in question.
  • This can be a part that remains connected to the reclining furniture even if the otherwise customary bed side part is adjusted in height, for example moved into its lowered position or completely removed from the reclining furniture.
  • the sick or dependent person In the lowered position of the bed side part, the sick or dependent person normally leaves the sick bed or the like. Then this person can pull himself up on the support and auxiliary handle, support himself and gradually also on his feet slide. She can also hold on to this support and auxiliary handle, standing next to the bed, and later climb the reclining furniture to a certain extent in reverse order.
  • This support and auxiliary handle can, for example, also provide some protection for the sick or needy person against rolling out of bed during the day, while the bed side parts are in a lowered position on one side or on both sides, for example. Then access to the lying surface and thus also to the patient in bed by the nursing staff or the like, for example for carrying out washing or treatments, is easily possible, since the support and auxiliary handle only insignificantly hinders access to the patient.
  • the support and auxiliary handle can thus be handled independently of the height-adjustable bed side part, which can consist, for example, of a foldable wall, of parallel, spaced tubes, rods, hollow bodies, of foldable or foldable elements or the like.
  • the support and auxiliary handle can be used in practically all constructions, since it is advantageously coupled to the reclining furniture independently of the bed side part.
  • the support and auxiliary handle is arranged in a variable position on the reclining furniture, in particular on the mattress frame. It is then in your hand to adjust the support and auxiliary handle on the long side of the reclining furniture depending on the patient's needs, once to take into account the physical conditions of the patient, but also to be able to move the support and auxiliary handle in the treatment, for example, to a different position, for example, to remove it and put it on the bedside cabinet or the like during the treatment To discontinue treatment. All of this can be done in a single step, i.e. in a matter of seconds. No special training for nursing staff is required.
  • the support and auxiliary handle is located on the inside of the bed side part. This has the advantage that the bed side part can be easily unlocked from the outside, for example to adjust the height or to lower it completely. Then the protection of the person in bed by the support and auxiliary handle is still somewhat preserved, in any case, the person in bed can then grip the support and auxiliary handle to straighten himself up.
  • Claim 3 describes a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention.
  • the support and auxiliary handle is to be arranged in the mattress frame, that is to say in the longitudinal spars arranged holes, in particular inserted.
  • a conical seat provides a secure fit tapered holes.
  • Suitable snaps, threads, projections in the manner of bayonet catches or the like can also be assigned to the section of the support and auxiliary handle to be inserted into the bore, on the one hand to achieve a firm connection of the support and auxiliary handle to the mattress frame, and on the other hand also one enable quick handling.
  • this solution is relatively inexpensive.
  • the support and auxiliary handle is arranged in slots, elongated holes, guides or the like of the longitudinal spar of the mattress frame in an adjustable and lockable manner. This can be done by means of screws, catches or shapes in the mattress frame, for example also with a positive fit.
  • the support and auxiliary handle can optionally be adjusted continuously in the longitudinal direction of the reclining furniture, while only an intermittent adjustment of the support and auxiliary handle is possible when bores are arranged.
  • the support and auxiliary handle according to claim 5 is advantageously approximately in the side view P "-shaped, the web is to be connected to the mattress frame against rotation.
  • Constructions are also conceivable in which the support and auxiliary handle L "-shaped.
  • the vertical web of the L "with the mattress frame, for example in a hole in the mattress frame, are secured against rotation ( claim 6 ).
  • T "-shaped support and auxiliary handles are conceivable.
  • the vertical web is also connected to the mattress frame, for example with a hole ( claim 7 ).
  • Claims 11 to 14 describe preferred embodiments of the support and auxiliary handle with bed side parts known per se.
  • Reference number 1 overall designates a reclining furniture designed as a sick bed and / or nursing bed, which in principle can have a conventional construction.
  • the lying furniture 1 has a foot-side bed head 2 and a head-side bed head 3, while 4 denotes a longitudinal spar of a bed surface frame (not shown) (FIG. 1) on which bedding 5 is located.
  • the lying surface frame can - which cannot be seen from the drawing and is also not a condition - can be raised and lowered and tilted at the head or foot end in different angular positions and can also be locked in the desired tilt and / or height position. It is also possible to design the bed as a sectional frame bed, in which the lying surface parts are pivotally connected by axes. Motor drives for this, including the handlebar linkage, have not been illustrated in detail. Instead, a base 6 was only shown schematically. This base frame 6 is rigid in the present case, so that the reclining furniture 1 cannot be moved.
  • the reclining furniture 1 can, however, also be provided with castors, at least one of which can be braked (not shown). With 7 an inclinable backrest is called.
  • the base frame 6 With wood and / or plastic and / or sheet metal and to connect them to one another, so that there is an approximately double-T-shaped configuration in plan view results.
  • the base frames usually used for hospital and / or nursing beds are used, for example with a foot pump, pumps for driving linear motors, electric motors, hydraulic or screw-spindle motors, for lifting and lowering the lying surface frame, for the inclination adjustment, gas springs for supporting the adjustment of lying surface parts, for example during the adjustment movement of the backrest 7, which is illustrated in FIG. 1 in its inclined position.
  • the underframes 6 can also consist of telescopically and, for example, vertically adjustable parts (not shown) which accommodate the motor drives, gas springs, the linkage or the like encapsulated.
  • Bed side parts are illustrated on both long sides of the reclining furniture 1, one of these bed side parts being designated by the reference number 8.
  • a bed side part 9 of the same type can be arranged on the other long side of the reclining furniture.
  • Both bed side parts 8, 9 consist of up or down slidable, rod-shaped or rod-shaped elements 10 in guides (not shown). Instead of — as shown — two such elements 10, it is of course also possible to use considerably more of these elements.
  • the elements 10 can also be height-adjustable on one side, for example also lying on one side on the other, so that they no longer assume their parallel position to one another. This also makes it possible, for example, for the bed side part 8, 9 on one or both sides of the foot or lower on the head side.
  • these bed side parts 8, 9 can lie on one another without a gap or at a small distance from one another, so that the free space under the bed surface frame is not hindered by the bed side part in question. It is also possible to produce the bed side parts from foldable grids, from fabric sheets, nets, flexible sheets which are transparent or non-transparent, from tubes, profiled iron, or the like. From Fig. 5, the bed side part 9 can be seen once in its upper and in its lowered lower position, in which the individual elements 10 do not hinder access to the bed on the bedding 5 and thus to the mattress, so that on the bedding lying person can be treated and / or cared for unhindered.
  • each longitudinal spar that is to say both the front and the rear longitudinal spar of the lying surface frame in the direction of view, has a plurality of bores or openings which are parallel to one another with their longitudinal axes and are arranged orthogonally to the longitudinal axis of the longitudinal spar 4, of which only the Bore or opening 11 is provided with a reference numeral (Fig. 4).
  • a bearing bush 12 is arranged, which has a flange 13 at its upper end, with which it rests on the top of the longitudinal spar 4 in question and, for example, is threaded at its lower end section protruding from the opening or bore 11 and is secured by a nut 14 or the like.
  • a tapered web 15 of a support or auxiliary handle 16 or 17 is arranged, for example inserted, which is arranged in a suitable manner against rotation in the bearing bush 12.
  • this can be done by means of a snap, by a positive connection, toothing, locking, pinning, by stops, transverse tiller, which reach through corresponding openings or the like.
  • FIG. 2 shows different positions of the support and auxiliary handle 16.
  • the position shown with dash-dotted lines shows the support and auxiliary handle 16 in the area on the foot side.
  • the support and auxiliary handle 16, but also the support and auxiliary handle 17, can be arranged here if access to the patient is desired in the fuselage and / or head area, or if the reclining furniture 1 in question is to the disinfection center or in one Stacking or storage space is brought, or for other reasons.
  • intermediate positions are also possible, viewed over the length of the reclining furniture.
  • the web of the support and auxiliary handle 16, 17 runs parallel to the lying surface frame and is not specially marked, but can be designed and arranged in the same way as the web 15. Instead of only two holes, several holes can also be assigned to each of the longitudinal bars 4 of the mattress frame , so that each support and auxiliary handle 16 and 17 can be adjusted and locked in fine stages over the length of the reclining furniture 1. As you can see, the support and auxiliary handle 16 protrudes, 17 by a certain amount A above the top of the bedding 5, to the extent that a person resting on the bedding can easily reach the horizontally extending section of the approximately P-shaped support and auxiliary handle 16 and 17, respectively .
  • the support and auxiliary handle 16 or 17 will always be arranged in relation to the length of the reclining furniture 1 so that the patient can reach it easily and safely.
  • a secure grip also enables the P-shaped design of the support and auxiliary handle 16 or 17, since the patient also grasp by hand through the openings 18 and 19 formed thereby and the upper section of the support and auxiliary handle 16 or 17 can enclose. Slipping is prevented by the closed opening 18 and 19 when gripping.
  • the upper horizontal section enables the patient to be supported safely after the patient has been pulled up, even if he, sitting on the bedding 5, wants to hold on gradually to the feet.
  • a sick or disabled person can hold on to the support and auxiliary handles 16 and 17 in order to gradually sit on the bed and slide into the bed.
  • a rotation of the support and auxiliary handle 16, 17 can be prevented by suitable stops.
  • the length L of the support and auxiliary handle 16, 17, measured in the axial longitudinal direction of each longitudinal spar 4, is only a fraction of the total length of the longitudinal spar 4, for example only 1/5 to 1/10.
  • FIG. 5 shows that when the bed side part 8 is pulled up - the same applies to the bed side part 9 - the lying surface is not reduced in any way.
  • the upper edge of the support and auxiliary handle 16, 17 when the bed side part 8 is pulled up is at a distance below the upper edge of the bed side part 8 in question, which also applies to the other bed side part 9.
  • the support and auxiliary handles 16 and 17 are dimensioned such that the distance A above the bedding 5 allows the handle area of the support and auxiliary handles 16 and 17 to be comfortably reached by the person resting on the lying surface. It is also advantageous that vibrations or considerable bending, particularly in the case of heavy people, are not transmitted to the handle parts in question, as in the case of a gallows on a headboard 3, but rather that the construction of the support and auxiliary handles 16 and 17 proposed according to the invention is rather enable a very firm and rigid connection to the mattress frame. Even heavy people can therefore be easily supported on the relevant support and auxiliary handle 16, 17, for example also lean against it, without bending, deflection or undesirable deflections of the support and auxiliary handles 16 and 17 being possible.
