  • the present invention relates to a cross-cutting apparatus for a web of paper sheets, especially for trimming the edge of bundles of paper sheets formed by printed matter, said apparatus comprising a cutting roll and a counter roll between which the web of paper sheets runs and which are driven at a peripheral speed slightly higher than the running speed of the web of paper sheets, a crosswise cutting blade associated with the cutting roll and fastened to a blade carrier which is mounted on the cutting roll to rotate therewith and which is movable relative to the cutting roll during the course of cutting action, as well as a counter blade associated with the counter roll and the cutting blade placing itself alongside it during said cutting action, a pivotable mounting axle whereby the blade carrier is mounted on the cutting blade, and a follower wheel eccentrically connected to the end of the mounting axle and forced to follow a fixed guide surface, having a curvature which forces the mounting axle and, respectively, the blade carrier together with its blade to pivot in the direction opposite to the rotating direction of the cutting roll.

  • This prior known device suffers from exactly the same blade attitude defects as the above-described devices, in which the blades are fixedly mounted on cylinders. In other words, the impairment of cutting result caused by the change of attitude between blade and web has not been eliminated.
  • Patent application FI-932623 discloses a device of the above-described type, whereby cross-cutting is effected to the length of a certain format, yet in such a manner that the change of attitude between blade and web is avoided during cutting.

Claims (4)

  1. Querschneidevorrichtung für eine Papierbogenbahn, insbesondere zum Trimmen der Kante von Bündeln aus Papierbogen von Drucksachen, wobei die Vorrichtung eine Schneidwalze (1) und eine Gegenwalze (2) umfasst, zwischen denen die Papierbogenbahn läuft und die mit einer Umfangsgeschwindigkeit angetrieben werden, die etwas höher ist als die Laufgeschwindigkeit der Papierbogenbahn, eine querschneidende Klinge (3), die der Schneidwalze (1) zugeordnet und an einem Klingenträger (4) angebracht ist, der auf der Schneidwalze (1) befestigt ist und mit dieser rotiert und der relativ zur Schneidwalze (1) während des Verlaufs des Schneidevorganges beweglich ist sowie eine Gegenklinge (9) umfaßt, die der Gegenwalze (2) zugeordnet ist, wobei sich die Schneidklinge (3) selbsttätig längsseits während des Schneidevorganges positioniert und wobei der Klingenträger (4) um eine drehbare Befestigungsachse (5) auf der Schneidwalze (1) befestigt ist, und ein getriebenes Rad (7), das exzentrisch mit dem Ende der Befestigungsachse (5) verbunden ist, gezwungen wird, einer fixierten Führungsoberfläche (8) zu folgen, welche einen gekrümmten Abschnitt (II) aufweist, der die Bewegungsachse (5) beziehungsweise den Klingenträger (4) gemeinsam mit seiner Klinge (3) dazu zwingt, sich in die Richtung zu drehen, die der Drehrichtung der Schneidwalze (1) entgegengesetzt ist,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    dass der gekrümmte Abschnitt (II) der Führungsoberfläche (8), dem das Rad (7) während des Schneidevorganges folgt, so gestaltet ist, dass sie die Bewegung der Klinge (3) zur Schneidwalze (1) hin bewirkt, während sich die Klinge gleichzeitig gegen die Drehrichtung der Schneidwalze in einer Geschwindigkeit bewegt, die in bezug zur Drehgeschwindigkeit der Schneidwalze (1) so ist, dass die Klinge während der gesamten Schneidebewegung ihre senkrechte Position relativ zur Ebene eines Blattes oder eines Bündels von Blättern, die zu schneiden sind, behält.
  2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    dass die Führungsoberfläche (8) vier unterschiedliche gekrümmte Abschnitte einschließt, nämlich
    einen ersten gekrümmten Abschnitt (I), der eine Bewegung der Klinge (3) und des Klingenträgers (4) in die Drehrichtung der Schneidwalze (1) und weg von der Schneidwalze (1) erzeugt, bevor die Klinge (1) in die Schneideposition kommt,
    einen zweiten gekrümmten Abschnitt (II), dem das Rad (7) während der Schneidebewegung folgt und welcher eine Bewegung der Klinge (3) gegen die Drehrichtung der Schneidwalze (1) und zur Schneidwalze (1) erzeugt,
    einen dritten gekrümmten Abschnitt (III), dem das Rad (7) nach dem Schneiden folgt und welcher die Bewegung der Klinge (3) und des Klingenträgers (4) zur Schneidwalze (1) hin beschleunigt, und
    einen vierten gekrümmten Abschnitt (IV), dem das Rad (7) folgt, um zum Beginn des ersten gekrümmten Abschnitts mit minimalen Beschleunigungs- und Verzögerungskräften zurückzukehren.
  3. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    dass die Gegenklinge (9) mit einer Befestigungsachse (10) ausgestattet ist, die so angepaßt ist, dass sie eine Drehbewegung ausführt, die im wesentlichen mit jener der Befestigungsachse (5) der Schneideklinge (3) übereinstimmt.
  4. Vorrichtung nach den Ansprüchen 1 - 3,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    dass die Befestigungsachsen (5, 10) der Schneidklinge (3) beziehungsweise und der Gegenklinge (9) an deren Enden mit exzentrischen Stiften (6) versehen sind und die getriebenen Räder (7,11) darauf gelagert sind.
