Abstract

The present invention relates to packaging for a solid or pasty product. The invention relates in particular to a packaging intended to allow the distribution of a product sample for advertising purposes, for example by insertion in a publication.

The invention relates more particularly to packaging for a cosmetic product and in particular a makeup powder or a perfume fixed on a dry support.

The distribution of samples, and in particular of advertising samples, makes it possible to publicize a new product by distributing it free of charge in the form of small quantities of the product.

The distribution of advertising samples is a sales method particularly used in the field of beauty products, that is to say essentially perfumes and cosmetic products. The invention aims to propose a new packaging for the distribution of samples of solid or pasty beauty products.

The term “solid products” means in particular the compacted powders, whether directly from the cosmetic product such as a makeup powder or from a compacted powder serving as a dry support for a perfume.

Solid or pasty products also include all the products obtained by pouring and then cooling such as, in the field of cosmetics, foundations, lipsticks and solidified pastes serving, for example, as a support for deodorant products.

REPLACEMENT FBftiE (RULE 26) One of the most widely used methods for distributing free samples of beauty products is to insert the advertising sample in a publication, and in particular in a magazine intended for the public likely to buy the product, for example in the women's press. the case of perfumes and make-up products.

Various methods of packaging samples are known, in particular allowing their distribution by insertion in publications. In the case of perfumes, the sample may be in the form of dry paper, for example an insert sheet, coated with an ink-paste serving as a support for the fragrance which is deposited on the support sheet. publication and covered by a fold of this sheet, or by a complementary sheet, in order to maintain it in a sealed area which the reader accesses after opening. This mode of packaging is particularly complex and generally requires the creation of an insert which is inserted in the publication. In addition, the reader can simply smell the fragrance, but they are practically unable to actually try it, that is, to put the perfume on their skin.

In addition, this process can partially denature the original fragrance.

Finally, the sample in this form is physically linked to the publication and cannot be detached from it in a simple and practical manner except by tearing the insert or the support sheet of the publication. Another known method consists in sticking on a page of the publication, by means of a point of dry glue, a waterproof sachet which contains a wet towel or wipe impregnated with the perfume.

This method requires making waterproof bags containing the impregnated towels. The user can apply the perfume to her skin with the towel, but she can hardly keep it and reuse it several times because the waterproof bag that originally contains the towel must be torn to access the towel. and can only rarely be closed effectively, that is to say tightly.

According to this method, the fragrance of the perfume is also slightly modified due to the impregnation of the napkin and its method of packaging in a sealed bag with an internal plasticized wall. Another more recent method, which allows the user to effectively dispose of the perfume in liquid form, in particular in the form of a drop of essential oil of this perfume, consists in depositing the drop on a sealed area of an insert. , for example a varnished area, then cover it with a waterproof membrane sealed at the periphery. In addition to the economic problems linked to the creation of the insert, this type of distribution has the disadvantage of presenting risks, in the event of accidental destruction of the membrane or at the time of its opening, of trying to publish and / or the buyer. of the publication. It is also impossible to detach the sample from the publication and reuse it.

These various known advertising packages do not allow samples of other cosmetic products to be distributed, such as in particular make-up powders or thick creams, if not in the form of airtight sachets with the drawbacks mentioned above.

It has already been proposed, for example in documents US-A-2,615,754 and US-A-2,557,141, to distribute cosmetic products, such as powders or lipstick, in the form of a flat package. consisting essentially of a plate-shaped support comprising at least one blind housing which contains the product and which is closed by a cover.

The designs proposed in these documents are not entirely satisfactory because they do not make it possible to produce a packaging of small thickness which can be inserted into a publication and they do not allow easy industrial implementation because they require the introduction of the powder. or the product paste directly in the blind housing.

The object of the invention is therefore to propose a new packaging for a solid or pasty product which overcomes the drawbacks which have just been mentioned.

To this end, the invention proposes a packaging characterized in that it comprises:

a support in the general form of a plate comprising at least one central cavity open in the upper face of the support;

- a cup with a shape complementary to that of the cavity and which contains the solid or pasty product;

- means for fixing the cup to the support;

- And a cover affixed on the upper face of the support and which closes the cavity containing the cup.

Such packaging solves the problems mentioned above and allows, in the field of beauty products, to distribute very easily samples of pasty products or solid products produced in the form of compacted powder, the compacted powder being able in particular to serve as a support for the fragrance of a perfume, also called dry perfume. According to other characteristics of the invention:

- The cavity is a central hole opening into the underside of the support, and the bottom of the cup is fixed to an adhesive face of a fixing sheet bonded to the underside of the support opposite the central opening hole; - The support is produced by simultaneous cutting in a plate of its outline and the central hole with the punch;

- According to a variant, the cavity is a central blind hole and the cup is fixed in the hole by gluing; - the cup is a metal cup, especially made of aluminum;

- the support is made of cardboard;

- The cover is a flexible membrane comprising an adhesive face bonded to the upper face of the support and comprising a gripping part which projects transversely beyond the contour of the support;

- the membrane is made of transparent material;

- the membrane allows repeated opening and closing to access the product several times, guaranteeing good preservation of the latter;

- The cavity receives several products contained in adjacent cups or in a cup divided into compartments;

- It has several independent cavities, each of which receives a product and which are closed by a common seal; - The upper face of the support plate has areas visible in the closed position of the cover and which carry alphanumeric indications, pictograms and / or decorations; - the upper face of the cover comprises zones which bear alphanumeric indications, pictograms and / or decorations;

The packaging 10 illustrated in Figures 1 to 3 is, in this example, intended to allow the distribution of a perfume sample.

The packaging 10 is essentially constituted by a support plate of laminated cardboard about two millimeters thick, the general shape of which is obtained by cutout, has a fancy outline 12 which can for example recall the shape of a perfume bottle with its cap at its upper part.

The support plate 1 1 is delimited by an upper face 14 and by an opposite lower face 15 parallel and flat.

The central part of the support plate 11 has a central hole 16 which is here a cylindrical hole with a circular outline produced in the form of a hole opening into the upper 14 and lower 15 faces.

The hole 16 receives an aluminum cup 18 of shape and dimensions complementary to those of the hole 16 in order to be able to introduce it into the hole in particular from the upper face 14 into which the hole 16 opens. The cup 18 is for example a cup made of aluminum by stamping an aluminum sheet of reduced thickness.

The height of the cup 18 is less than or equal to the thickness of the cardboard support plate 11 so that, in position in the cavity formed by the hole 16, the cup

18 is entirely housed in the hole 16 and has no projecting part beyond the upper face 14.

The cup 18 serves as a container for the actual sample which is produced in the form of a compacted powder 20 so as to constitute a solid sample.

According to a known technique, the compacted powder 20 serves as a support for the fragrance of the perfume to constitute a sample of perfume called "dry perfume".

The open upper face of the cup 18 which contains the compacted powder 20 therefore allows access to the sample, the user having to simply rub her finger on the compacted powder tablet 20 contained in the cup 18 to deposit on the end of her finger a thin layer of perfumed powder which she can then apply to her skin. The fixing of the cup 18 in the hole 16 can be ensured in different ways.

A first technique consists, for example, of forcing the cup 18 into the hole 16.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the fixing is ensured by means of a fixing sheet 22 which is a sheet having an adhesive face 24 which is glued to the underside 16 of the cardboard support plate 1 1 .

The entire face 24 is adhesive and the fixing sheet 22 is glued to the underside 15, facing the hole 16.

The part of the adhesive face 24 located opposite the hole 16 thus makes it possible to ensure the bonding and the fixing of the cup 18, the bottom 23 of which is bonded, by simple pressure, to the adhesive face 24. The user of a adhesive fixing sheet 22 also makes it possible to ensure perfect sealing of the cavity formed by the hole 16 at the level of the lower face 15.

In order to provide additional sealing on the face 14, in particular to preserve the sample 20 (whatever its nature) all its properties and its freshness, the packaging 10 according to the invention comprises a closure cap 26.

The cover 26 is preferably made in the form of a sheet or membrane of transparent material whose lower face 28 is adhesive to allow it to be bonded to the upper face 14 of the support plate 1 1 opposite the open end of the hole 16 which opens into the upper face 14 and therefore facing the cup 18 and the sample 20 contained in the cup.

The arrangement of the cover 26 is such that it has a gripping part 29 which projects transversely beyond a part of the contour 12 to facilitate its gripping by the user with a view to detaching it.

The material constituting the cover 16 and the choice of the adhesive of the face 28 are preferably such that they allow the cover 26 to be opened and closed several times in order to access the sample several times while protecting this after each use, that is to say, retaining all of its properties.

When the cover 26 is made of transparent material, it allows the user to see the sample 20 and in particular to see its color when it is a makeup powder, a foundation or lipstick.

The use of a transparent cover 26 also makes it possible to see through the cover indications carried on the upper face 14 such as a trade mark 30 or pictograms and / or decorations of the upper face 14.

It is thus possible to give the packaging 10 an appearance making it for example very precisely resemble a perfume bottle, its appearance possibly being particularly attractive insofar as the upper face 14 of the support plate 11 can be decorated by various known means and in particular by the various printing and painting techniques. The production of the support plate 1 1 in the form of a cardboard plate is particularly economical because it is possible to simultaneously cut the contour 12 and the central hole 16 according to the cookie cutter technique.

The cutting operation can also be associated with a simultaneous operation of marking raised areas on the upper face 14 and / or of engraving these.

The invention is of course not limited to the production of the support plate 1 1 in cardboard.

The support plate 1 1 can for example be made of plastic, wood, metal, etc. However, whatever the material used, the design according to the invention of the support in the general form of a plate allows its insertion in a particularly easy manner in a publication insofar as it suffices to paste the packaging 10, according to the known technique affixing a point of dry glue, directly on a page of the publication, the point of glue being applied to the underside 15 of the support plate 11 or to the underside of the fixing sheet 22.

The user can very easily detach the packaging 10 which then constitutes a removable, perfectly sealed sub-assembly which can be used repeatedly and which can also constitute a decorative object.

In the second embodiment illustrated in FIG. 4, in which elements identical or similar to those of the preceding figures are designated by the same reference numbers, the packaging 10 is provided for two pellets 20 of makeup powder, for example of different shades, each of which has a rectangular outline and is produced in the form of a cup containing the compacted powder which is received in a hole or cavity 16 of complementary rectangular shape. In the case of makeup powders, it is possible, without departing from the scope of the invention, to provide an additional cavity in the upper face 14 intended to receive a small brush facilitating the effect of the makeup powder. The cavity or housing of the brush may be a blind cavity in which the brush is held by the cover 26 or, as in the case of the hole 16 in FIG. 1, a through hole, the brush thus being held by slightly adhering to the upper adhesive face of a lower sheet 22 for fixing the pellets 20 (not shown in FIG. 4).

The invention is not limited to the embodiments which have just been described nor to the applications mentioned.

As has already been indicated, the support of generally flat shape or in the form of a plate 11 can be produced in different types of material and according to different manufacturing techniques.

However, the production in the form of a cut cardboard plate is particularly easy to implement in so far as it is possible to carry out the decorative prints beforehand and then to cut the support plates with a specific shape of contour 12, the final assembly operations consisting in affixing the lower sheet 22, then in placing the cup 18 containing the solid or pasty product 20 and finally in affixing the adhesive cover 26.

The invention is not limited to the distribution of samples of beauty and cosmetic products.

It is of course applicable to the distribution of solid or pasty type samples, for example in the field of food products and / or products of maintenance such as for example condiments and spices, shoe polish, etc.

In order to further improve the aesthetic appearance, the cup 18 and its complementary cavity can also have a fancy profile.

Claims

1. Packaging (10) for a product (20) of a solid or pasty product, intended in particular to allow the distribution of a product sample for advertising purposes, for example by insertion in a publication, characterized in that it comprises :

- A support (1 1) generally in the form of a plate comprising at least one central cavity (16) open in the upper face (14) of the support (1 1);

- A cup (18) of shape complementary to that of the cavity (16) and which contains the solid or pasty product (20);

- Means (22) for fixing the cup (18) on the support (1 1);

- And a cover (26) affixed to the upper face of the support (1 1) and which closes the cavity (16) containing the cup (18).
