Abstract

The corner connection's outside parts (21,31) together form a butt joint (4) and its inner parts (22,23,24;32,33,34) a mitre joint (5). The outside part (21) of one profiled section (2) projects on the end side opposite the ends (25,26,27) of the associated inner parts defining a common mitre plane (E). The inner parts (32,33,34) of the other profile section (3) project at their ends (35,36,37) opposite the associated outer part (31) up to the mitre plane (E). At least one connecting angle (9,10) can be provided which engages with its arms between the inner parts of the profiled sections. The outer parts of the profiles have along their joining face inclined overlapping end edges.

Description

The invention relates to a corner connection for profiles, in particular cover profiles, which have plate-shaped outer parts and web-shaped inner parts.

Such profiles are mostly used as frame legs for the production of door and window frames, whereby they have proven particularly useful as cover profiles made of aluminum or the like for cladding wooden frames. The plate-shaped outer parts form the outer visible surface, the web-shaped inner parts, on the other hand, serve as invisible support and fastening means, which also have crests or grooves between them for receiving seals, insulating material and the like. Offer. For the corner connection of such profiles, the profile pieces to be butted are previously miter or butt cut and result in a uniform miter joint or a butt joint. In the event of a blunt impact, the outer parts directly adjoin one another, but the inner parts are not properly connected to one another, which also interrupts the sealing grooves or insulating combs or the like formed by the inner parts and hinders the circumferential insertion of insulating material or seals. The miter joint, in turn, can only be used with profiles of the same width, and it cannot match the visual impression of the usually butt-jointed wooden frame legs.

The invention is therefore based on the object to eliminate these deficiencies and to provide a corner connection of the type described, which allows a clean, functional corner connection of different widths with a pleasing outer shape.

The invention solves this problem in that the outer parts form a butt joint with one another and the inner parts form a miter joint, the outer part of one profile protruding on the end face against the ends of the associated inner parts defining a common miter plane and the inner parts of the other profile on the end face with their ends protrude from the associated outer part to the miter level. The combination of butt joint and miter joint makes it possible to design the outer visible side as desired and, for example, to adapt it to the appearance of a wooden frame. In addition, profiles of different widths can be butted without difficulty. The mitred butted inner parts in turn lead to a perfect transition of the inner parts in the corner area from one to the other profile with preservation of the existing grooves or combs between the inner parts, so that despite the butt-jointed profiles on the inside a circumferential laying of seals and. Like. is guaranteed. When preparing the profile end faces, it is only necessary to ensure that the inner parts actually extend to the common miter plane and that the outer part of one profile, which covers the corner area, projects with its leading edge to the extension of the outer longitudinal edge of the outer part of the other profile, which inevitably the outer part of the other profile with its leading edge can only extend to the extension of the inner longitudinal edge of the outer part covering the corner area. This corner connection is ideally suited for corner cornering of cover profiles made of aluminum, but can of course also be used for profiles made of other materials and also for profiles used differently, also for profiles of metal frames.

In order to increase the strength of the corner connection, at least one connecting angle is provided which engages with its legs between the inner parts of the profiles. Such a clamped or glued or otherwise fixed connecting angle creates a heavy-duty reinforcement for the corner region of a frame or the like, so that welding with the necessary cleaning and grinding work can even be dispensed with. In wooden frames with butt-jointed legs, there is usually a cross-sectionally V-shaped notch along the butt joint. In order to understand such a notch, the outer parts of the profiles can have bevelled, overlapping end or longitudinal edges along their abutting surface, so that a notch similar to the wooden frame notches is formed along the butt. The overlapping of the butted edges ensures a clean, joint-free notch design.

With a corner connection 1 for profiles, for example cover profiles 2, 3 made of aluminum, each with a plate-shaped outer part 21; 31 and web-shaped inner parts 22, 23, 24; 32, 33, 34, the outer parts 21, 31 form a butt joint 4 and the inner parts 22, 32; 23, 33; 24, 34; a miter joint 5, so that the visible surface formed by the outer parts 21, 31 can get a desired design image and also differently wide outer parts can be connected, which serve for fastening and for sealing and insulation material or the like Form corner connection of circumferential grooves and hollow chambers 6, 7 for inserting seals or insulating materials (not shown). In order to achieve this, the outer part 21 of the profile 2 protrudes on the end face opposite the ends 25, 26, 27 of the associated inner parts 22, 23, 24, which define a common miter plane E, and the inner parts 32, 33, 34 of the profile 3 are in turn with theirs Ends 35, 36, 37 in front of the associated outer part 31 up to the miter plane E. To form a V-notch 8 along the blunt joint 4 in the visible area, the end edge 38 of the profile 3 and the part of the joint-forming longitudinal edge 28 of the outer part 21 protruding beyond the miter plane E are chamfered to one another and the end edge 38 overlaps the longitudinal edge 28.

In order to achieve an easy-to-produce and firm corner connection, two connecting brackets 9, 10 are provided, which have their legs between the inner parts 22, 23; 32, 33, 24, 34 intervene, with which profiles 2, 3 can be simply and correctly plugged together.
