Abstract

The road vehicle is fitted with a global positioning system that uses satellite signals to define the precise position of the vehicle. At the start of the journey the position is logged and the position of all relevant traffic monitoring devices , eg cameras, radar is provided , eg CD-ROM, radio link. The vehicle position is compared with the location of such devices. As the vehicle approaches the monitoring devices an optical or acoustic indicator is activated.
