Zweckmäßigerweise umfaßt die den Zuschnitt überführende vertikale Hubbewegung eine sich in die Form der Aufnahmetasche einfügende Vorfaltung des Zuschnitts, wodurch sich zusätzliche, der Faltung dienende Handhabungen des Zuschnitts erübrigen.

Gemäß einer vorteilhaften Weiterbildung kann ohne zusätzliche Fördermittel eine multifunktionale Wirkung dadurch erzielt werden, daß in den Färderweg des Hubfordermittels zwischen dem Messerträger und der Aufnahmetasche ein den Zuschnitt vorfaltendes Mundstück integriert ist.
Zweckmäßigerweise sind das Mundstück und die Aufnahmetasche über dem Messerträger positioniert.
Eine beispielshafte konkrete Ausgestaltung besteht darin, daß das Hubfördermittel als den Zuschnitt vom Messerträger durch das Mundstück in die Aufnahmetasche überführender Saugheber ausgebildet ist.
Besonders vorteilhafte Wirkungen werden mit einer Weiterbildung erzielt, gemäß welcher der Saugheber als in die Auflagefläche des Messerträgers versenkbarer Hubstößel ausgebildet ist. Auf diese Weise wird der durch den Abtrennvorgang des Messerträgers erzeugte Zuschnitt in einer vorbestimmten Lage festgehalten und damit für die nachfolgende Überführung in die Aufnahmetasche exakt ausgerichtet.
