    Claims (10)

    1. A connector for an electric cable (11) to be connected to a conductor element (10), of the kind comprising a cable connection block (21) which, for engagement of the electric cable (11), has at least one opening (22) belonging to a connection terminal (23), this opening (22) being cut through by a threaded hole (32) with which a clamping screw (33) which is associated with said connection terminal engages, the entry face (26) of the cable connection block (21) onto which the opening (22) opens extending generally inclinedly with respect to the axis of the opening (22), characterised in that it comprises a fixing base (25) which is adapted to permit the assembly to be fastened to the conductor element (10) to which said electric cable (11) is to be connected, in that the entry face (26) of the cable connection block (21) forms generally an acute dihedral with a substantially flat support face (28) by means of which the fixing base (25) is adapted to be applied to the conductor element (10), and in that the threaded hole (32) which cuts through the opening (22) opens onto the face of the cable connection block (21) which is oppositely disposed to the fixing base (25).
    2. A connector according to claim 1 characterised in that the angle (A) of the dihedral that the entry face (26) of the cable connection block (21) forms with the support face (28) of the fixing base (25) is between 30° and 60°.
    3. A connector according to any one of claims 1 and 2 characterised in that the fixing base (25) is reduced to a plate portion, in relation to which the cable connection block (21) projects.
    4. A connector according to claim 3 characterised in that the plate portion forming the fixing base (25) extends entirely on the side of the cable connection block (21) that is opposite to its entry face (26).
    5. A connector according to either one of claims 3 and 4 characterised in that, on the side of the support face (28) of the fixing base (25), the plate portion forming said fixing base (25) is level with the cable connection block (21).
    6. A connector according to any one of claims 3 to 5 characterised in that the opening (22) that the cable connection block (21) comprises passes right through the cable connection block (21).
    7. A connector according to claim 6 characterised in that the opening (22) that the cable connection block (21) comprises is extended therebeyond and at least partially encroaches upon the thickness of the plate portion forming the fixing base (25).
    8. A connector according to any one of claims 3 to 7 characterised in that, for fastening the assembly to the conductor element (10) to which the electric cable (11) is to be connected, the plate portion forming the fixing base (25) comprises at least one notch (38) which opens at the side opposite to the entry face (26) of the cable connection block (21).
    9. A connector according to claim 8 characterised in that the plate portion forming the fixing base (25) comprises at least two notches (38) in mutually parallel relationship.
    10. A connector according to any one of claims 3 to 9 characterised in that, the cable connection block (21) comprising a plurality of openings (22) in mutually parallel relationship, the plate portion forming the fixing base (25) extends generally in parallel relationship with the plane containing the axes of said openings (22).
