Definitions
- the invention relates to a toe for a safety ski binding with a a ski attachable housing and with two two-armed angle levers, which on one in the Housing restricts the movably mounted bearing part around an essentially vertical axis are pivotable, the outer, longer arms of both angle levers as Sole holders are formed and the inner, shorter arms of both angle levers attack a trigger plate, which on a substantially transverse axis Housing pivotally mounted and by one housed in the housing with her front end supported on a spring holder, surrounding a central bolt Release spring via a connecting element with a forward pull is acted upon.
- a toe of this type which has become known from EP-A-365 861 has one Tripping plate, which runs around a transverse axis in the upper or lower housing area is pivotable.
- the release spring surrounds the central bolt, which acts as a pull rod for the Release plate works.
- the front end of the bolt is in an adjusting nut screwed, against which the front end of the release spring is supported. This front one The end of the spring can thus be moved together with the adjusting nut with respect to the housing, whereas the rear end of the release spring is supported on a wall fixed to the housing.
- the adjusting screw and the one with the release plate connected bolts are screwed together by means of a thread, whereby the desired bias of the trigger spring is generated. Furthermore, is on the spring mount Pointer attached, which the default setting of the trigger spring on a window visible display.
- a disadvantage of the front jaws known from the two documents mentioned above is therein to see that the binding setting display changes when the release spring is loaded becomes. This means that the display changes in an undesirable manner when the Skier climbs into the binding with his ski boot. Furthermore, the housing is due to the Storage of the trigger spring is not completed at the front and it can happen that the Effect of the release spring, for example, is impaired by dirt, snow or ice.
- DE-A 39 00 217 shows a very complicated construction, in which the angle levers are in turn mounted on lateral, two-armed levers.
- This side Levers are pressurized by a piston loaded by the release spring.
- this piston is also extended backwards, with one on Arms of the extension of the seated cross bolt is guided along a ski-fixed control curve
- An axial rod passing through the release spring is fixed to the housing with its rear end stored, the front end of the rod, however, is not on the front face of the housing supported.
- a pointer is connected to the spring support plate.
- the connecting element is a pull piece, which with its front Engages the end of the spring seat, which is displaceable along the central pin, the central bolt by means of a bolt head on the front face of the housing supported and via a thread with one acted upon by the release spring Spring support plate is connected.
- the trigger spring and the effect of this trigger spring on the trigger plate mechanically separated, which the Display of the binding setting is not changed even when the release spring is loaded. Furthermore, the housing of the toe piece can be made closed, as a result of which the Probability of the toe function due to snow, ice, or dirt is impaired, is significantly reduced.
- the lever system which by the pivotable trigger plate is generated, is a particularly good trigger behavior Reverse or reverse turning falls can be achieved because of the friction losses that occur be kept extremely low.
- the release plate is in the lower part of the Housing mounted and it extends substantially vertically upwards, the inside Anne the angle lever lies in the upper area of this release plate on the front attack. Furthermore, the tension piece, which is guided to the spring mount above the release spring, engages at the top of this trip plate.
- this particular arrangement of the release plate allows a simple one Reverse trip construction. Another advantage of this embodiment is that the Freedom of movement of the tension member due to contamination, such as snow, ice or dirt, is not affected, which collect in the lower part of the toe piece.
- a simple mechanical construction is made possible by the fact that the pull piece is plate-shaped and bent at both ends, the front bent End is stored between the spring holder and the housing and the rear bent End is hooked into a recess provided at the upper end of the release plate.
- a pointer is expediently connected to the spring support plate, which pointer set preload of the release spring on a housing-fixed display. As before was mentioned earlier, the position of this pointer with respect to the housing or housing-fixed display in an advantageous manner only by the default setting Trigger spring determined.
- a stop in the form of a substantially vertical can behind the release plate
- Transverse wall can be arranged, a between the release plate and this transverse wall elastic filler, for example made of foam rubber, is inserted.
- the cross wall also prevents any contamination, especially snow or Ice in the inside of the toe. If contamination of any kind in the Toes reach, the elastic filler prevents the Trigger mechanism is impaired or even blocked by such contaminants.
- the release plate has a transversely arranged cam, on which one on the bearing part trained lever extension when pivoting this bearing part against the force the trigger spring works.
- a preferred embodiment of a toe piece according to the invention corresponded to the fact that the bearing part consists of an upper part element and a lower part element exists, and the sub-elements are positively connected to each other in the state of use, wherein the angle levers are mounted on the lower part and the upper part on its front side has a support surface, by means of which the bearing part on the housing is supported.
- the part of the bearing part on which the Angle levers are mounted, and the part that has a support surface for the Reverse release bears separate in terms of manufacture, so this manufacture can be done particularly inexpensively.
- a single lower sub-element for all types of binding are produced in a larger series.
- the upper part can be made of a cheaper material that is easy to work with, especially in terms of color are manufactured.
- An advantageous embodiment of the support surface results in the above Embodiment from a first, substantially vertical section, a overlying second, slightly backward sloping section and a overlying third, more backward sloping section, the first of these Sections over an edge in the second section and this over another edge passes into the third section of the support surface.
