Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an automatic fire detector with one Terminal block with detector base, a detector hood and with one in the Detector insert that can be used, which contains a printed circuit board with evaluation electronics, has a sensor system and a connector assigned to the connection block.
  • Such a fire detector is e.g. known from DE-C-44 00915.
  • a fire detector of this type in DE-U-92 10 858.3, it contains, for example Detector base consisting of a simple molded part and a multipole Terminal block with the required sockets, and the detector insert has one Pin header with the corresponding pins on the connector block assigned when inserting the detector (detector insert plus detector hood) become.
  • the detector insert is rotatably arranged in the rotating detector hood and lockable in its end position.
  • the detector insert has a rotating one Sidewall that acts as a centering ring.
  • the detector hood is on the Detector base can be locked mechanically, one at the end when the detector is inserted Detector hood integrally formed locking cam in a sloping link guide a locking link is guided. The latter is like this on the detector hood arranged that when the detector is inserted and screwed in, a vertical stroke for the Contacting is achieved.
  • both the locking mechanism carries with it Locking link and locking cam as well as the contact between the connection block and contact pins by a vertical stroke movement to an increase the manufacturing costs, which is undoubtedly the case with a large-scale product such as a fire alarm is disadvantageous.
  • the invention is intended to improve the detector mentioned at the outset in such a way that a noticeable reduction in manufacturing costs can be achieved without the robustness or the manageability of the detector is impaired.
  • the printed circuit board as a plug-in card is formed and has a contact strip, and that the insertion of the detector insert into the detector base by a vertical movement and a subsequent one Horizontal movement of the detector insert takes place, the horizontal displacement between the Terminal block and the contact strip an electrically conductive connection becomes.
  • the design of the circuit board as a plug-in card has the advantage that on the circuit board no separate connector needs to be installed, reducing the cost of this and of its assembly can be saved.
  • the insertion process by means of a vertical lifting movement and a subsequent horizontal shift means that the detector is not more screwed in, but inserted, which on the one hand is the handling of the detector facilitated and, on the other hand, less complicated setting guides required makes. And this increases the robustness of the detector against any faults increased during its assembly.
  • the detector insert through the said guide means both during the vertical movement and also performed during the horizontal shift.
  • a fourth preferred embodiment is characterized in that the detector insert is provided on the said contour with nose-like projections, and that the holding means have guide links for these projections.
  • Another preferred embodiment of the fire detector according to the invention is characterized in that the installation of the detector hood after manufacture of the electrical connection between the terminal block and the contact strip and thus after inserting the detector insert.
  • the detector hood is preferably as Means for locking the detector insert in the detector base are formed and embraced with its jacket the detector insert in such a way that it prevents horizontal displacement is secured.
  • the detector insert is without a detector hood inserted into the detector base at a stop and then across the detector base emotional. Because during this movement the circuit board is inserted into the connection block the direction of movement is clearly visible to the operator. Furthermore the entire process is good because of the not yet attached detector hood clear and can be checked constantly. The detector hood is only at the end put on.
  • Figure 1 shows in the upper half a detector base 1, either on a ceiling directly on a flush-mounted box or together with a corresponding base add-on surface mounted.
  • the detector base 1 consists of a base in the form of a round one Plate 2, the upper side facing the ceiling with fastening rails 3 and an edge cover 4 is provided, and on it for receiving the in the lower Half of Fig. 1 detector insert 5 provided the lower side substantially a guide for inserting the detector insert 5 and a connection block 6 having.
  • the guide consists of two opposite, two-part Guide blocks 7, each having a guide link 8 on its inner wall, and from a bracket 9 to facilitate the insertion of the insert 5 into the base 1.
  • connection block 6, which is perpendicular to the guide blocks 7 and opposite is arranged to the bracket 9, has a power strip 10, which for inserting a Contact strip 11 of the detector insert 5 oriented parallel to the plane of the pane 2 is provided.
  • Limit the guide blocks 7, the bracket 9 and the connection block 6 the four sides of a rectangular socket, in which the detector insert 5 in the direction arrow A can be inserted.
  • the distance between the power strip 10 and the bracket 9 larger than the corresponding dimension of the detector insert 5.
  • the detector insert 5 shown essentially comprises a rectangular base body 12, on the side facing away from the detector base 1, a sensor system and on its a circuit board with the evaluation electronics on the side facing the detector base is provided.
  • the circuit card is arranged parallel to the plane of the base body 12. It is designed as a plug-in card and contains contact lamellae integrated in the printed circuit, which take over the function of the contact strip 11.
  • the sensor system that is arranged in an opto-electronic measuring chamber 13, contains a first housing 14 with a light source, a second housing 15 with a light receiver, an aperture 16 and a so-called labyrinth 17. Aperture 16 and labyrinth 17 prevent that Light rays can get directly from the light source to the light receiver.
  • the measuring chamber 13 is covered at the bottom by a cover, not shown.
  • the detector insert 5 is on its base body 12, preferably in the area of the contact strip 11, with a coding specific to the respective detector type. This is formed, for example, by mechanical elements such as ribs or grooves and ensures that only one detector insert is provided in the respective detector base 5 can be inserted.
  • the side of the base body 12 containing the printed circuit board is preferably box-like formed and has at least three side walls that the circuit board on three Enclose sides and as mechanical protection and electrical shielding for them serve. Said contact strip protrudes from the at least partially open fourth side wall 11 from the base body 12.
  • two guide lugs 18 are arranged on the outside Engagement in the guide link 8 of the guide blocks 7 of the detector base 1 is provided are.
  • the dash-dotted lines between the guide lugs 18 and the guide link 8 indicate the mutual position of these elements when inserting the Detector insert 5 in the detector base 1.
  • the reference number 19 is only one Marking on the base body 12 to facilitate understanding designated.
  • the guide slots 8 are substantially L-shaped and have one vertical and a horizontal leg.
  • the guide lugs 18 in the vertical leg of the guide link 8 pushed in as far as it will go and then moved in the horizontal leg of the guide link 8.
  • the unerring Inserting into the vertical leg is supported by the bracket 9 by the Detector insert 5 with an edge of the base body 12 on the worked on the plate 2 Leg of the bracket 9 is created, thereby positive guidance of the guide lugs 18 takes place in the scenes 8.
  • FIG. 2 shows the position that the detector insert 5 in the detector base 1 after the lifting movement in the direction of arrow A (Fig. 1) takes.
  • the position of the mark 19 on the associated guide block 7 the mark 19 lies exactly in front of an arrow attached to the guide block 7.
  • the detector insert 5 rests on the bracket 9. In the position shown is the detector insert 5 in the vertical direction (arrow A) fully into the detector base 1 inserted, but there is still no electrical contact between the power strip 10 of the terminal block 6 and the contact strip 11, because the contact strip 11 has not yet is plugged into the connector strip 10.
  • the detector insert 5 can be inserted into the detector base 1 without a detector hood, the insertion of the eye can be checked. Since both the connection block 6 of the detector base 1 and the contact strip protruding from the side of the detector insert 5 with the Contact blades are clearly recognizable, the operator will find the correct position of the Detector insert 5 for insertion in detector base 1 clearly displayed.
  • To the insertion of the detector insert 5 is shown in dashed lines in Fig. 3 and attached and fixed with the reference numeral 20 detector hood. The latter is preferably done by snapping or snapping the hood 20 into the corresponding one Fixing elements of the detector base 1.
  • the detector base 1 in the area of the connection block 6, and although preferably at the level of the mounting rails 3 (Fig. 1) from the plate 2 radially protruding projections (not shown), which snap into corresponding recesses the detector hood 20 are provided.
  • the bracket 9 is elastic trained and also has on its outer leg to snap into corresponding Recesses 21 of the detector hood 20 are provided. The touchdown the detector hood 20 now takes place in that the detector hood first in the the plate 2 protruding radially protruding and then in one Pivotal movement is engaged in the projections 21. To remove the detector hood the detector hood 20 is released by pressing on the projections 21.
  • the detector hood is used as a means for locking the detector insert 5 in the detector base 1 formed so that the electrical connection between the power strip 10 and the Contact strip 11 is not accidentally interrupted, for example due to vibrations can be.
  • the jacket of the detector hood 20 is shaped that it encompasses the detector insert 5 relatively closely at a suitable point. This The location is, as shown, the edge of the lower surface supporting the sensor system of the base body 12.
