- A dismountable handle of the type comprising a drive body (2) provided axially with a rod (11) suitable for penetrating via a through orifice (51) of practically the same section as the rod provided in a profile bar (46) of the opening portion of a door or window, the end (36) of said rod being arranged, when the handle is pressed against the bar, to come into engagement with a mechanism (38) mounted in a housing (39) received inside the bar for actuating a bolt for opening or closing the opening portion that is movable relative to a stationary frame, the rod having a transverse locking peg (26) subjected to the action of a thrust spring (29) in such a manner as to cause it to project outside the rod or to retract into it against said spring so as to enable the peg to go past the through orifice when the handle is put into place, prior to the peg, inside the bar, projecting back out from the rod so as to prevent it from being withdrawn in the opposite direction, and a positioning socket (13) of generally cylindrical shape placed in register with the through orifice on the outside of the opening portion and having the rod passing through its center, said socket receiving the end of the handle body which can nevertheless turn therein in order to actuate the bolt, characterized in that the socket has means (48, 49) suitable for preventing it from rotating relative to the bar, and in that the handle includes, firstly an intermediate washer (22) having a bore (24) of the same section of the rod which passes therethrough, received in the socket and subjected to the force of a compression spring (6) which presses it against the bottom (15) of the socket, itself pressing against the bar, the washer and the socket having a claw system (20, 21) in their facing faces suitable for limiting turning of the drive body and of the rod carrying the washer, which limit is transmitted to the bolt, and secondly a removable locking abutment (34) carried by the socket and suitable for modifying the possible stroke of the drive body in translation along the axis of the rod against the compression spring, the end of the rod, depending on circumstances, either being engaged with the mechanism for actuating the bolt or disengaged therefrom, the rod and the body then being free to rotate.
- A dismountable handle according to claim 1, characterized in that the rod (11) secured to the drive body (2) presents a main portion (17) of circular right section and has at its end a drive key (36) or the like suitable for co-operating with a corresponding shape (41) provided in the drive mechanism (38) of the bolt, the main portion and the end of the rod being united by a link zone (37) of smaller section.
- A dismountable handle according to claim 2, characterized in that the housing (39) containing the bolt actuator mechanism (38) is adapted in such a manner that, depending on the axial position of the rod, said mechanism engages with the drive key (36) or disengages therefrom when the link zone (37) is brought into register with the mechanism.
- A dismountable handle according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the transverse locking peg (26) of the rod (11) is mounted in a blind housing (27) formed perpendicularly thereto and against the bottom of which the thrust spring (29) bears which presses at its opposite end against a shouldered bearing surface (31) of the peg, exerting thereon a force suitable for causing it to project from the outline of the rod.
- A dismountable handle according to claim 4, characterized in that the transverse peg (26) is associated with a cylindrical holding ring (30) through which the rod (11) passes and disposed in register with the peg, the projecting end of the peg engaging in an orifice (33) provided in the ring which holds the peg captive in the housing (27) of the rod by means of its shouldered bearing surface (31).
- A dismountable handle according to claim 5, characterized in that the positioning socket (13) has a circular spot face (18) in its face facing away from the intermediate washer (22), said spot face being adapted to receive the cylindrical holding ring (30) which is free to turn with the rod (11) relative to the socket.
- A dismountable handle according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the removable locking abutment (34) carried by the positioning socket (13) is constituted by a transverse screw, in particular of the grub screw type controlled by a so-called "Allen" key, which screw co-operates with a tapped hole (35) provided sideways in the socket so as to take its end to a distance that is far enough into the socket to constitute a bearing surface against which the end of the drive body (2) bears.
- A dismountable handle according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the rod (11) is permanently secured to the drive body (2) by means of another transverse fixing screw (12) carried by the body and locking the end of the rod which penetrates into a matching cavity (9) in the body.
